    Jolly you should go out to the streets and do a ref guess with some random people. I'm genuinely curious if a dude coming out of a deli shop can get one right

    Being on the 1997 WS Marlins and the 2001 WS Diamondbacks made the last one easy for me, especially since Counsell was the winning run in 1997 and was on 1st for the winning hit in 2001

    Rony at 51-6 with zero crowns is CRAZY!

  • @AliceYobby
    @AliceYobby Год назад +3

    Did some quick calculations about these players main game stats, in case ppl were interested.
    Rony: .895 (0 Crowns)
    BBD: .873 (6 Crowns)
    Jake: .864 (7 Crowns)
    Dan: .848 (5 Crowns)
    Kyle: .778 (2 Crowns)
    Jimmy: .739 (0 Crowns)
    Dalton: .727 (2 Crowns)

    • @AliceYobby
      @AliceYobby Год назад +1

      So based on these, my subjective player rankings would go:
      1. Jake
      2. BBD
      3. Rony
      4. Dan
      5. Kyle
      6. Dalton
      7. Jimmy
      I consider 1/100th of a winning percentage to be equivalent to a crown. So if one player is .950 with 1 crown and another is .940 with 3, player two is better. But if player one is .950 with 2 crowns and player two is .940 with 3, they’re tied but advantage goes to number of crowns, imo.
      So in my head the adjusted top three are
      Jake: .934
      BBD: .933
      Rony: .895

    • @AliceYobby
      @AliceYobby Год назад +1

      .895 with zero Wins is crazy

    When Craig Counsell came up, I knew it the second i saw Arizona. He and Gonzalez left around in 2006 together and I remeber as a kid going to one of their last home games. The Dbacks painted their numbers in the field in their positions as a farwell send off. Always stuck with me.

    Position players by their pitching stats/pitchers by their hitting stats

    Gehrig is the only Yankee with a retired number who is the only player to wear it. Only Gehrig wore number 4. 3 was passed around after Ruth until near the time of his death when it was retired.
    There are a few other players in Yankees history who are the only ones to wear a number, but no one really significant to my knowledge.
    4 Yankees who appeared this season, Schmidt, Abreu, Marinaccio and Deivi, are the sole wearers of their numbers.
    Alan Mills, in 1990, was the only Yankee to ever don 69... Nice
