"They're textured for the guitars pleasure!" Omg. Laughed out loud! Great begining too!
i did not realize Cooper had such a great sense of humor! As Rick Costa said, textured for the guitars pleasure was great!!!
That got me laughing too.
I thought I would quit watching after a minute. But it was too funny to stop.
Cooper, that was hilarious: "They're textured for the guitars pleasure".... That was hilarious! This video was a LOT of fun! Thanks for doing this Chris and Cooper! A laugh-a-thon video if there ever was one on the Alamo Music YT channel. Very funny....
that white glove stole the show 💎
I haven’t laughed at a video this much in a long time…natural reactions to ridiculous contraptions. Thanks for the great content.
Y’all Rock!! 🤘🏻💯✊🏻
"Did you just call me Michael??". One of the many times I cracked up during this video! Too funny!!
Hi guys. You wanted to hear from someone with experience with some of these items. Okay. I’m 73 and took up playing bass 7 years ago. I’m pretty fair at it by now. I never had the remotest thought that I could ever play guitar even a little bit. I stumbled across the Chord Buddy and thought, “Hey, I can do that.” Ten days ago I got the ChordBuddy from Amazon and traded one of my 5 basses in in an Ibanez AS73FM the same day. I can now play beautifully chords, a few simple songs and am having a lot of fun, which is my objective. The point is, this got me off to such a fast start that I am supplementing my learning with other elements like power chords I’m learning on RUclips. I’ll never be great at either, but now I have the possibility of enjoying the guitar almost as much as I have the bass. If that is the point, then it is a success.
I suggest an Alamo Music Center exclusive training device to assist guitar players who can't play without looking at the neck. Hint, you would expect to see one on a dog as it's leaving the vet
10:00 gloves are for focal dystonie which is rare but serious illness among musicians! Check out Scott's Bass lessons, he speaks openly about it and always wears gloves on the left hand...
You could take this show on the road! Thanks for the laughs!!
That gloves is the only reason I can still play guitar. I wish there was more serious reviews of it out there. It helps countless people with various health problems such as focal dystonia, tendentious, arthritis, eczema and early cartilage decay.
These attachments just make me mad….but had to watch you two trudge through it. Totally hilarious ❤️
Chuckled through the entire video!
You guys are a stich. Great information delivered with refreshing humor! Great hair combo. For sure Alamo is a quality company with a large line of everything you need.👍 Thanks guys.
I'm 52 and have been wanting to play guitar my whole life. Just now getting into it and your video's are awesome. Thank you. The rubber finger tip part of this video was hillarious.
Props for "BADGAD," Coop.
What I need is a special drill bit to attach a pick to so I can play "Misirlou" at correct speed.
You were in band?.. any band camp stories??
Airwolf - greatest show intro ever!
Can you imagine being Chris' son on Career Day? "Hi everyone. I'm Luke's dad and I get paid to buy and test stuff from Amazon and put it on RUclips." Chris easily wins the Coolest Dad award.
Yeah, career day is a lot of fun. I’m the guy with the guitar that a lot of kids have already seen on RUclips. The lawyer guy never stands a chance.
Cooper is killing it with the chord device hahaha
Best episode yet! Hilarious! Keep 'em coming!
That Michael Jackson glove should come as standard with every guitar.
Well, it was entertaining, anyway. Glad I learned to play before the advent of the interwebs. Although, this stuff would probably have been advertised in the back pages of comic books.
One of the funniest! Thanks for checking out stuff no musician would actually use live. The best was the finger tip gloves I only see watch repair people use.
Very Cool, Thankyou. "Would you recommend that to someone?" .... "Ah NO" lol
I NEED some of those guitar players mittens...
How on earth can you play in mittens! That is hilarious - you guys crack me up 🤓
I have the spider capo. It does take time to get it adjusted. And as you found, it really isn’t the same as retuning. But when you’re writing or arranging something, it can sometimes be a fun problem solver. That said, I never used it that much, and I’m not even sure where mine is at the moment. 🙂
This is great! Amazon has all sorts of odd stuff that can't be trusted. Looking forward to the sequel!
Have always wondered about those special items!! Thanks for the video!
That hair flip just got you a sub. 😂
You guys are the absolute best. I live in Upstate NY otherwise coming to your store would be like Christmas 24 x 7 x 365…..new to acoustic guitar but your videos have been extremely helpful.
I am also happy I haven’t bought too much of this crap, sorry I have to admit I bought some. Like the first item with the stick on fret labels, put them on and peeled them off immediately and before they could take the neck stain off with them. Unreadably small and who wants to stare at them anyways? 😮
If I'm ever in the state of Texas (this chick I used to mess with is planning on moving there so .....) I HAVE to stop by Alamo Guitars to see these guys. Great chemistry and very informative when it come to guitars.
I REALLY ENJOYED "LAUGHING" .
Did you call me Michael a few seconds ago?? lol. Chris's story about his kid wearing a black glove lol.
Hamburger Helper killed me. Disclaimer, it's 4:20 here.
I have an arthritis "fingerless" gloves that really helps me practice longer but a full glove just won't work.. LOL
Great video!! 10 outta 10 insanity picks on this one!!
Best episode ever.
excellent intro
Thank you for this amazing insider information. Now that you guys have let the real secrets of how to play guitar out of the bag my life is changing. Forget practice, scales, spider drills, dextarity drills or any of that garbage. Amazon Prime is streaking my glove and button buddies to me even now. I"ll be jamming with Slash by next weekend! Hell, I'll BE Slash by next weekend.
What a great video. Love it.
Thanks for a good laugh! Good to know you should be cautious of an Amazon drone drop. LOL
Best video y’all had in a while.😃😃
OMG....That was great...you have to go on the road now...
You guys are a riot!
I love these crazy guys!!!
subbed dudes ... i was in tears ...
squatty potty... haha fun stuff fellas.
I actually did get the glove once....I was opening a box at work, and papercut across all of my left finger tips. The glove actually DID help, when I had to play in church the following Sunday. Only wore it once...
“It is textured for the guitar’s pleasure!!” You guys are hilarious. Thank you so much for the laugh! Great video as always :-)
Great video, good laughs!
In defense of the riff band concept, I’m originally a sax player pretty much since birth, born again musician on guitar two years and three months ago. Being already a musician, it was natural for me to practice a few hours a day right from the beginning. My biggest obstacle by far was those guitar playing muscles. The first month I could go only about 10 to 15 minutes a day, second month 30 minutes to an hour; my fingers were tired and achy, and as I would tire I would start stumbling over the frets. Of course technique was an issue too, I had a death grip on the neck, but definitely as I used more techniques like hammer and pull, bending, sliding and so on-especially after switching to heavier strings-finger, hand, and arm strength were key. It’s not just about dexterity.
But I do think the best way to develop that strength is to play physically challenging music on a regular basis, not gadgets.
The glove idea I really like, if they were fingerless. That would be great on the back of the neck, particularly in the Summer time.
You guys really need to learn basic video editing.
That was a great intro! You should have way more subscribers
Now that intro was funny
I've seen bass players use those gloves before
A solution for slipping something sticky under the strings is to pass a piece of plastic (a strip of zipper bag works) under and attach your sticky thing to it, then pull it through. I do this with the tape I use to mask the fretboard and pickups.
Ya like the glove? Cut the tips off, you will have feel at your tips and still get the fast neck... and when you use them in the subway playing next to your open guitar case, wipe it on the wall and get it good and dirty.. it will give you that hobo effect and increase your tips!😂
my picking hand sweats and i drop them. BUT Gorilla snot its a rosin grip sticky paste you probably sell that is KING I never play a gig or jam without it.
Oh God, the finger protector segment. I’m crying 😂
When I first started playing I bought a few different things to try to keep from dropping my pick all the time. Like the snake picks that wrap around your finger and have a pick attached to the end, and some of the gorilla snot. Non of it really helped and I just had to play more and get better and now it’s very rarely an issue for me. Although I do like using Ibanez wizard picks with the sand grip on them and I do really like those a lot.
I love you guys.
Cooper....you can't not play. If you have a guitar in your hands as Chris talks you have to be playing something. I'm the same way. Great comic relief! Thanks Guys.
🎶I'm hamburger helper baby I got the stroganoff blues
12:00 They need to add a red nose with the guitar glove... and later... Chris is tuning for BAD DAD Jokes... Thanks for saving the V-Pick Insanity (the best!) for near the last. Thanks for pulling off a great finish! Thanks also for affirming my avoiding Amazon and amazons.... Time to work on de scales, and tune a fish.
10:00 gloves are for focal dystonie which is rare but serious illness among musicians! Check out Scott's Bass lessons, he speaks openly about it and always wears gloves on the left hand...
Please more weird accessories videos!!!
That was a great intro.. lol
Go to your office supply closet and create your own 'axe" accessories.
I like the Black Mountain picks. They are comfortable.
This video was a good laugh! What would be even funnier to see anyone that actually bought some of this nonsense and be a fly on their wall and view their practice session 🤣
The finger tips have no place for beginers...
But... When you have to play a gig & the skin on your finger tips is split then they have got me through a few times .. Don't like em, but needs must...
On a side note, by the time I’d set that craptastic capo up I’d forget what the hell I was planning to play in the first place! 🤣
What do you guys sit on? Stool? That's some nice posture. I must know!
Tony Iommi has used those finger tip protectors for years on the fingers tips that got cut off. Seems to do well with them.
Chris, when trying the capo, that the chord did not sound like DADGAD rather an E sus. He is right that it is an Esus but it is also the same thing as DADGAD with capo on the second fret. DADGAD is a Dsus4 chord. You suspend the third, so you play the 1st, 4th and 5th notes of the scale.
LMAO!!!! Great Job as Always Guys!!!
Let's sell the overload of "Covid plastic/rubber gloves" to guitarist............LOL ! ! !
This video made my day.., I almost peed myself :-)
hoping yall do updated version of the best guitar video with the price ranges
I used those stickers my first week of playing 😂
I started out with the Chord Buddy years ago and 2 years ago I took Richie Sambora’s place in Bon Jovi
....oh .... and don't forget the "guitar mask" ....prevents germs and vapors from rotting the guitar strings !
“Michael” MUST wear the glove for the entirety of the next video.
I could see the chord buddies (even with their color coded buttons) being flawed solutions for people that have dexterity issues from arthritis or some other type of hand impairment. If those products were refined a little bit then I could see them being marketed for a completely different group of people rather than for beginners.
Best pick in the world. V-Picks Fusion
The problem with having a "capo-style clamp" on the selective capo is that you have to avoid having pressure on all the strings. If you are just going to capo a couple of strings on the low strings, you will wind up with uneven pressure. But that being said, I have seen these before and never had an interest.
You guys should start the Alamo music garage band!
I guess the landfills won't want for filler any time soon !
Air Wolf!
0:28 priceless 😅😅😅
A single drop of super glue spread out on your finger tips will help you get past the sore finger stage. Be very careful that the glue is dry. Don't glue yourself to the guitar. It wears off in a day so you have to renew it often. Seriously don't glue your fingers together or show up at the ER for a guitarectomy.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use fret stickers or tapes on 'cellos and violins. It teaches playing by using your eyes instead of your ears. You know those young guys who have always had cheap electric tuners available and couldn't tune a guitar by ear to save their own child's life? Yeah, like that. Since you have to throw the crutches away eventually, it's more efficient and better for your musicianship to skip the crutches altogether.
Glove factory: “how stupid do I think the guitar players are? They’ll buy this glove thinking it will help them play better” *evil laughter* muahahaa
Best sound hole blocker for a GS mini? What size is it?
The insane thing about that Vpick is how much it costs!
Those finger protectors belong in the trash. There's a reason why Brian Adams sang about playing his guitar until his fingers bled.
You want calluses LOL
EZ Chord has been replaced by Chord Buddy.
I HATED the spider capo.
I’m pretty sure there are no muscles in the fingers. I could be wrong.
