I live in a former industrial town in the north west of England. Same as the others really. Declining highstreets, drugs, crime, and cenotaphs serving as memoriams to the wreckage of war and the communities it destroyed. A few miles to the north is a place called Pendle. In my opinion, this marks a strange boundary line between modern England and a place once known as the 'Middleland'. This kingdom stretched from north Lancashire right to the Scottish borders. Pendle; itself infamous for witchcraft, gives way to wider lands of sweeping moors and old forests. This a place of grouse shooting & salmon fishing, of old pubs, log fires and quiet people. Travelling further, one spies tiny hamlets accessible only through narrow lanes marked by faded signs. Unlike the Lake District, this area is seldom mentioned in tourist guides. It has an interesting history. Never fully controlled by the Romans, it was a land under constant threat. During the Dark Ages, noble warlords, Celts and Vikings all vied for control, bringing fire and sword for centuries. After the Reformation, it became a bastion of hidden Catholicism. Many of the stately homes had 'priest holes' to hide their clergy from the power of the Protestant south. These are old communities. Difficult to find without knowing what you're looking for. There's a sadness to it, but in many ways Bowland and the Dales represent the lost heart of old England.
August. Summer prepares for sleep. Autumn patiently looks on from its perch in the forgotten places, ready to admonish the living of mortality again with falling leaves and chilly winds.

The village of King's Watch. All the folk know their dale is named for the burial mound up in the hills, and the legend an old king lies waiting there should they need his protection . Little do they know how real the tales are...
Only one villager knows the truth. They wake in the morning, walk to the top of the hill, and talk to the still-living king. The eternal clouds are coming and together they must steel themselves against the darkness.
what is it about autumn? Something happens...the world changes. It's a time for closing off, the ending of cycles. Somehow there is a feeling of spirits being freed, a quiet whisper in the wind, a sort of magical but also sightly foreboding feeling.

many people in these comments feel like soulmates to me, and not necessarily romantic of course, but just souls who see and understand and feel existence and life in the same way I do, evident by the way that they feel the energy of this music in coordination with their connection to nature, time, memory, and the emotions that come with experiencing the interconnectedness of these things. I feel at home when I read others' comments who feel like in the same way, with a deep gratitude and emotional and spiritual connection to the essence and energy of all things.
Reminds me of fall in England. This ambience resonates with me, I feel like I'm a medieval soldier returning home, all by myself and realizing that everything has changed while I was gone, and so to have I changed.

"Помочь им стать великими, какими и должно быть моим потокам" "Но как?" "А вот это мы скоро и узнаем"-оскалив зубы в улыбке проговорил король.
There's some subtle animation on the tree at the left edge of the screen (moving leaves), and of course the skeleton's robes are streaming in the wind...but I don't see any other movement, aside from the trolls.

@@MakemeaTorontoStar I'd say there are multiple possible reasons for the purple cape: Purple was the most expensive dye in the medieval ages and only kings and regents could afford to wear it (given the crown, the person maybe once was a King of some sorts that had been buried with a ceremonial crown of flowers). Another reason might be the artistic choice. Purple is complementary to yellow /orange so the figure pops out from the background better. :)
