- My sewing machine need it a new bobbin case, so I looked online and I found a good price for the bobbincase :)
Here is the set up of the new bobbin case for the Brother sewing machine HE-240
Thank goodness for you, I accidentally took out the bobbin case and I couldn’t figure out how to put it back in!

Me, too. I love my machine so much, mainly due to ease of loading bobbin, I'm not mechanical and was going to look up machine repair in my city but thought I'd ck RUclips first. Happy sewing, Patricia

What was the problem¥
I found replacement bobbin cases for $4 on aliexpress. Just changed mine and the machine runs better than when I first bought it. Amazing

I just took the cover of my machine off to clean it, and couldn't figure out how to get the bobbin case back in. Thank you for showing how that dot lines up--I never knew this!

Thank you for your post. My bobbin thread was knotting and tangling up and as a new sewer, I didn't know why. I saw your post and decided to purchase a new bobbin case on Amazon and now it working fine. Still not sure why the bobbin thread was knotted and tangled but changing the case works. I have my machine now for just about a year. It is what it is, though. Thanks again.

Thank you very much! You helped me understand the problem I had when the bobbin case (shuttle) was rotating freely in the metal base and then getting hit by needle. From you video I could clearly see that the bobbin case is being held in place by the metal stopper with a screw on top and the plastic knob on the bobbin case. There is very little contact area between the plastic knob and the metal stopper (bad design!) and the knob might have worn out a bit. So I have pushed metal stopper a bit further with a pair of pliers and off we go.

Mik Tara, I am having the same problem (the bobbin case spinning freely and the needle hitting the bobbin case, even after getting a new bobbin case!) I am not sure what you are explaining that you saw in the video and noticed on your machine that fixed the problem. Can you explain?

Thank you for this video! I had an E6 error with the thread and material jamming up in the base plate. I had to take the entire baseplate apart three times to finally find a 4x1 mm foam attachment that dislodge from the old bobbin casing. I noticed the new bobbin casings don’t have the foam attachments which makes sense as they can jam up your machine. I am happy to say my machine is working smoothly and it wasn’t a ball barring issue like so many other videos mentioned.
You just saved my life i love you endlessly. Couldn’t even google the problem for so long because i had know idea what i was dealing with.
This video was kind of a life saver. I didn't know about the arrow and white dot. I have been trying to get this thing back in for two days now lol. Thanks
Thank you. Mine had jammed my machine and I did not know how to fix it lol I took the whole machine apsrt, greased the bearing and while turning the wheel I noticed the bobbin holder dancing in the hole. Lol

Mine is spinning out of place causing the needle to pierce the bobbin Suttle.

Comment no. 2. Sorry. I don't mean to belabor the point, but I almost cried when my machine fit right back together and sews like a champ. Also, it cost about $5, I had to get a new clear plastic bobbin cover, from Amazon, in case anyone needs one. Thanks again. I subbed !!!!!!!

Thanks so much. I had the bobbin case completely wrong. Now I'm having this problem where the bottom thread sometimes gets all tangled up. Does anyone know what to do? My tension is on 4 and I was using the zigzag stitch. I like to double stitch the elastic and that is usually when the problem occurs.
When I zig zag stitch I usually have my tention at 2 1/2 so maybe try change the tension around
