Having a lot of oceans is good because then I can download the map, and then copy/paste it into my existing world. When you’re copy/pasting terrain that is boarders by the ocean, the game will automatically generate an ocean around it. When you copy/paste a world that randomly cuts off in the middle of the terrain, the merging doesn’t look great and is pretty obvious, but oceans look fine!
It seems like lithosphere just has MASSIVE oceans. I seriously went 10k blocks in my world with lithosphere and it was all ocean except for a couple very small islands.
I completely agree. This mod keeps the goodness of the vanilla version, but changes the terrain to something a little larger, but still allows for actual gameplay☺️
Yea, I like this. The other mods shown look really nice, but the scale that they tend to build terrain at is too great for Minecraft's gameplay to go well with.
@@Raytraceforge is there a way to change Lithosphere settings? maybe the world magnitude is too much, maybe structures are too far apart... i dont know, i havent tested it yet, but i would like to know in advance :)
Lithosphere is good alternative to reterraforged tho I still like reterraforge in my 1.20.1 but the vanilla swamp generation seems broken and currently not compatible in mod that also overhaul swamp biomes such as good ending and geophilic. Im glad that I found lithosphere.
@@xiangmusic210 Terraforged exists but the 1.20.1+ ports are NOT finished and are unauthorized for distribution and have been taken down from public access because of that.
@@PiotrBarcz They're actually getting pretty chill with distributing the old versions, they used to delete links up in the discord but now they allow them.
Is lithosphere a stable enough mod that starting a world and updating it to newer versions in the future is unlikely to break it? Or is it like reterraforged where its still buggy and in development?
yo guys, im getting back to minecraft and i would like to have as much of a vanilla gameplay as possible, but with the game looking better of course so i dont get bored in a week and leave again... since i probably havent played since 1.8 or something, i already have plenty of vanilla things to discover and i wouldnt like the world generation mod to affect much of this experience... does Lithosphere keep the biomes and structures untouched? i would like just some nice topography to go along with Distant Horizons and Shaders, no new blocks, no new biomes, no different or hard-to-find villages, temples, whatever structures the game generates
most structures are unchanged in rarity, same with biomes. Only difference is biomes will tend to be bigger. Other than that the core gameplay will basically be unchanged.
Why is there ZERO information on anything I try looking up? I've tried so damn hard to use this "lithosphere" mod. None of this makes sense, I put it into the mod folder, and it doesn't work. I don't know if I am doing it wrong because no matter what I look up, there is NO answer. Do I have to extract it? Do I place a specific file into the mod folder? I tried everything.
@@dynamic5109 well i ended up giving up however i saw this video tutorial and it actually was helpful. I just upgraded my pc and this is exactly how I want my world to look like. Does anyone know when all of this will be supported for the 1.21 release of MC? Also I would love a tutorial on how to install these. A detailed one for noobs
i can do this with my 10yo pc. its the distant horizons mod like mentioned. and a few performance mods. it basically reduces the detail in the distance like any other game would. minecraft just never had that in the main game so this mod does that. someone also rendered the entire mincraft map already with this mod. so he was playiyn with all chunks render distance

3:20 is probably the craziest shot of minecraft ive ever seen
For some reason, most of the terrain generated was ocean, so next I'd like to find a place with a lot of land and make another video of this mod😎

I think it's bc of the earth-like continents features, they supported to be like that
Try shaders with Red Tern Island, the old custom map from Planet Minecraft. Adding Valkyrien Skies to actually fly the airships could be cool too.

Technically Islands, but at this point, might as well call them Continents

Try geolithic, kind oft a vanilla+ world gen, adds nice little details and cganges. Worms in Server easy Witz datapack,

You should play it with WWOO perfect combination imo

Honestly the best world gen mod I’ve ever seen. Sucks that it takes so long to generate the world though 😅

The mod itself doesnt warn for it, but maybe its better to ask the discord there

Magnificent 🤩
perfect for pirate/viking modpack
How long did it take for the LODs to generate?
2-3 hours this time😅

I wish it could work on laptop too.
Without burning it, of course.

It’s just 3rd person view with camerautils mod😁
Beautiful
How do i make the chunks load before i eeven join the world?
I use chunky for that😁
how long it took to you to load all chuncks ?? for me i have to fly to every direction for it to render far away
