What Video About
In this tutorial, I show you how to create a realistic hair dryer model using Plasticity for surface modeling. We begin with simple forms, assembling the main shape before delving into surface creation and editing. I emphasize the importance of learning from industrial design to achieve aesthetically pleasing designs. Techniques like lofting, bridging, and creating tangency are demonstrated, with a focus on achieving smooth transitions and sharp edges. I also provide tips on staying organized with modeling shortcuts and maintaining workflow efficiency. The tutorial is designed for those with some experience in 3D modeling, offering insights into advanced surface modeling techniques.

A few really nice tips in this one. Thanks Nikita.
Project curve to curve made me want to hit like twice on this video. Nice suggestion from the comm community.
Glad to hear!
@@nikita.kapustin Right! Before learning about this feature, I was extruding my curves and imprinting another curve on to that surface in order to get the same result. This definitely saves a few clicks
WOW
I love these kind of aesthetics
I wish Plasticity allows for a freestyle sketch curve tool, which can then later be rebuilt and refined
A learrn this command like 2 months ago from a guy here on RUclips called polycad. Very usefull trick
Your 3d hair dryer model is in frot of reference image. It seems to be opaque when looking from the side. But when looking from the front view it is partially transparent. How. Thank you for you reply.
Select the reference image in Plasticity -> M -> Click on "Front" and "Opacity" -> Adjust to your liking. Enjoy
@@nikita.kapustin Thank you.
Getting confused with surface modeling. Every time it's a different approach
