Lol, my sister keeps askin' me, "my source". CSpan, I watch our govt in action, I'm not sure she knows such a source is a thing. Indeed , a treasure, The vast majority of those who work in govt, ours, others now, historically are clerks, they collect, , collate, regurgitate stats...To be frank, it can be spun, but I have found the average person takes pride in their work. It's stunning, no matter how vile the actions of.. there is some record of either from the the survivors of or clerks recording the details.

I can't stop thinking about how much love President Biden's family has for him and no hesitation in expressing it. Trump has to be envious of that also. No one expressed even half the love towards him.

I trust Trumps leadership over Kamarla Harris and Tim. I reviewed the Republican national convention, and now I am reviewing the Democratic National Convention. What stood out was the Rupublican convention, his character was vouched for by people who have been his friends for decades, and it is not the character that is being portrayed by the mainstream media and of this convention. We were way better off under Trumps administration. More safer, stronger and wealthier. I am planning in voting for Trump, but I would like to hear why people are considering Kalameria Harris. The biggest thing I see is we need fresh blood to give us fresh ideas, not people who have been in office forever. I don't trust the speakers at this convention are telling the truth. I see alot of emphasis on identity politics, which, creates division, not unity, which we need so much.

How are unions helping us move forward? The more demands we have cost us by companies not being able to meet demands and thus makes a sluggish economy or force companies to hire outside of USA giving us less work at home. Right now, our companies are already burden by all things required for they payroll that is not being reinvested in capital that will lead to a more stable workforce such as keeping their employees and hiring new employees. I think wages should be set by the individual companies or the industry they are involved in and agreed upon when the perpective employees accept the condition of employment. Here is a compromise, allow people to join labor unions if so chose to do so, but not force entire workforce to join if they choose not to. What people don't realize is that higher wages lead to higher sale prices for goods and services. Its a balancing act, and higher wages is a wash with higher cost of living. The thing to watch for is not the numbers on a paycheck, but the purchasing power those dollars have, which is real wages.

@andreamorris9984 , My mistake, I still don't see how religion played a role in the opinions of the speaker. The prayer was not an endorsement from the democratic party. Why does having prayers offered at the convention offend you? There would be a large part of the population sector left out if pray was not offered. The Republican National Convention had prayers offered as well at their convention. It's a tradition much like saying the pledge of allegiance to the flag or singing the star spangle banner and is part of our national identity as well as part of our history. Why take offense? If you don't agree just ignore and let free speech rule. Free speech means that we might get offended by others speech, but they have a protect right to voice their speech.

@andreamorris9984 , separation of church and state is not a constitutional concept. It's a made-up concept in American politics. No where in our founding documents does it suggest that concept. That concept is from the communist manifesto by Karl Marx. Where people get this idea is from a letter Thomas Jefferson with the phrase taken out of context. He was not saying religious ideas had no place in politics, but the government had no affairs in how a church would operate during their services or how to think. We were just a new country and left England because the government got to be involved in the affairs of the church where church leaders were answering to the king of England. Leaders of a Baptist church wrote a letter to President Thomas Jefferson because of their concerns about government encroachment in church business. It had nothing to do with people who have religious convictions from having the ability to serve in public office. They were afraid of establishing a church state much like it was when the pilgrims left England to form the country we now know as the U.S.A. They wanted the government to have no authority in dictating the business of churches. It was meant to be one way in that the government can't get involved with religious practices, yet those same people who do attend religious services can run for public office. The phrase I would like to refer to is "freedom of religion," not "freedom from religion.""
Our forefathers were very religious people. Church services were held in capitol building, and the chaplin core was established as well as the bible in public schools used as a textbook. Read the declaration of independence in the second paragraph, "We hold these truths to be self evident, that we were endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights ..."
If the convention organizers want to have a prayer to open the convention, it doesn't violate our constitution and rule of law, its their right under the free speech clase of the First Amendment. It would be considered unconstitutional if it was required to accept the prayer or go to a religious service as a condition to enter or be involved with the convention.
