    Lyrics:
    Let me say
    Since, since we've been together
Uh, loving you forever is all I need
Let me be the one you come running to
    I'll never be untrue
Oh, baby, let's, let's stay together
    Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad
I, I'm so in love with you
    Whatever you want to do
    It's alright with me
'Cause you make me feel so brand new
I want to spend my whole life with you
    Let me say
    Since, since we've been together
Uh, loving you forever is all I need
Let me be the one you come running to
    I'll never be untrue
Oh, baby, let's, let's stay together
    Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad
(Good or bad, happy or sad)
Why, oh, tell me, why do people break up
And turn around and make up?
    I just came to see
You'd never do that to me, would you, baby?
Being around you is all I see
So, baby, let's we all stay together
    Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad
Let's (let's stay together) stay together
    Loving you whether
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad
    (Let's stay together) stay together
    Loving you whether
Whether (times are good or bad, happy or sad)
    Oh, baby, let's
    Let's
    Loving you whether
Whether (times are good or bad, happy or sad)

Being a kid in the ‘80’s, Tina’s version of this song was the first one I heard, long before Al Green’s original. What Tina did with this song was absolute genius. The congas and that synth solo in the middle made me think it was the most cutting edge song of ‘84.

This was her first single with Capital Records. It's "surprise" success is what marked the beginning of the real big time for Tina as a solo performer. It gained her the confidence of Capital for them to green light an album which turned out to be "Private Dancer", which in turn propelled her to super stardom.

I didn't hear the original by Al Green until much later, but what Tina did with this song was simply brilliant. From those early memories, her amazing comeback album, Mad Max thunderdome, amazing duets with legends such as Mick Jagger & David Bowie, to discovering her older classics, to promoting rugby league in the late 80s, early 90s in Australia and NZ, thanks for the memories Tina. Tina and Chaka came years later. They are each legends with different styles. I would say as far as being a "performer" with a totally electrifed high energy show, nobody compares to Tina. Stevie is a haunting poet that writes most all her stuff. Her vibe is more mysterious and enchanted. Chaka, to me is more of a recording artist. I did see her live twice and her voice live wasn't as strong as the other ladies. But I love how she uses her voice. What do you think?😊

Even though Tina, lived until 83 I always thought she’d live beyond
her age of 83. When I read her health setbacks I was very surprised I thought it was age related but it wasn’t. To me she was the epitome of health because she lived a healthy lifestyle. I truly appreciate her message given 2 months ago about her Kidney disease and thank you so much Tina, for sharing the information that I will take it to heart & do my best to always remember your advice. I’m sure your last few years weren’t easy for you but you’re pain free now & I know you’re Dancing Away in R&R Heaven with your beautiful Angel wings & Crown.👼🏼👑RIP🎤🌹🙏🏼♥️🎵⭐️
