Did you know that the song Private Dancer was about the working girls, the many women who found themselves trying to live in a world where they were otherwise rejected, so sold their bodies for money. The lyrics are quite deep when you listen to them. Rest in the paradise of unconditional love Tina, thank you for blessing us with your beautiful songs💔🌹
My mother explained to me that the song was about a stripper/escort who hates her job but can't bring herself to leave because of the money. She wanted to live a normal life with a husband and children but couldn't BECAUSE she never left her job since the money was so good. So she worked a job she hated until she died as hinted by the ending scene of people throwing flowers on her.
I spent a lot of time in strip clubs as a younger man and this song definitely reflects the vibe I saw --- women who were using their bodies to make money, but their eyes had the "1000 Yard Stare" --- they had no enjoyment in their work and you can't blame them --- wearing a thong and grinding on old ugly men and feeling them getting aroused beneath you, that is just sad and disgusting way of paying the bills for a dignified young lady!
@@fredwerza3478 You can't blame dancers or escorts for doing what they need to pay the bills if they have no other skills. I think that dancing is a good way to pay your way through college but don't get stuck in it for too long.

Always in my heart rest in peace
One of the greatest performers ever , such a star 🌟
My eternal love gone😩🙏💔
Did you know that the song Private Dancer was about the working girls, the many women who found themselves trying to live in a world where they were otherwise rejected, so sold their bodies for money. The lyrics are quite deep when you listen to them.
Rest in the paradise of unconditional love Tina, thank you for blessing us with your beautiful songs💔🌹
I always thought it was about her deal with the 😈.
@@Elly3981 there are satanic images all over the video. What does that baphomet dancing behold the curtain at 2 minutes have to do with stripping?
My favorite Tina song of all-time. Rest In Peace, beautiful Queen Tina. 🧡🧡🙏🙏
I had the privilege of seeing her perform, and I believe she is the best female artist I have seen perform live. I was amazed by her performance. She is great!
and great vocal too. no one can sing like her
Was that wembley arena?
Diana Ross in person was pretty awesome too..
She truly was a queen😎🧡
Hi
I'm not sure any woman is as cool as Tina Turner. The texture of her voice unlocks depths of the soul pedestrians fear to tread. Love you Tina and fellow fans around the world. If I sound pretentious as usual... Good! She's worthy of the honor!
So much of her energy gave me LIFE! I channeled so much of it into my art, fashion and dance life. Rest Well Sista, rest well! You earned it
I had the privilege of seeing her when she was still with Ike!!😘 She's been number one in my life since. It goes to show you that no,matter your beginning, your trials and tribulations, if you put your mind to it and keep the faith, you can overcome anything!! Thank, you,Tina!! You have changed my life and my world!! Job well done!!💓
Lets talk about this video... pure ART ❤
Tina Turner has the best pair of legs in the world. What a dynamic lady with a beautiful soul.
They are insured after all!
She still has ! And she still sings as a godess!
@Xuan...Take a look by way of RUclips at German ex pat, Marlene Dietrich. She and Turner are bookends.
best legs since cyd charisse
@@jeanniesgems7662 You are right.
OMG... discovered HER as a teenager with this great song....40 years later this still sounds GREAT!
🙏🔥❤️🔥🙏⚡👍🌟 Am reading her latest bio, this video was a great shooting , and the song is very well treating a subject: prostitution...again, she was right, no vulgarity, a compassionate but very powerful emotional moment!

Simply the Best,
Part of the truth that the song was written by Mark Knopfer.
Obviously "her" best song because Dire Straits means quality in music.
The queen of rockn'd roll she’s so talented and wonderful ❤
Happy 82 birthday my diva💙💙💙💙🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂
This is one of my favorite songs from Tina Turner. May she rest in peace🙏🏾❤️🕊️
The wonderful singer and composer Mark Knopfler wrote a wonderful song, and the beautiful Tina performed it superbly. ♥
The best sad song from Tina. A classic masterpiece that will never die. Tina also a legend that will never die too.
"Simply ICONIC!" Thank you Tina for all the years of love and music ! We will miss you ! RIP my lady.......you've earned it. 💔
My parents used to go dancing at The Rivoli in Brockley during the week. They arrived one week and hadn’t been told it was cancelled due to the filming the Tina Turner Private Dancer video. My mum and dad were invited in to watch it being filmed!! They loved the experience and chatted to Tina and the film crew.
Very cool
There so lucky
So AWESOME!!
Cool
So dope
Miss you Tina
People don't realize I think just exactly how creative and talented and ambitious that this girl was. She did her own makeup and she made her own wigs and she styled her own self completely. She COMPLETELY developed the Tina Turner persona by herself. She was amazing,a queen 👑,a legendary artist
Did she crate this demonic vid also ???
@@CadiKane demonic??? Lmfao! You need to get out more I think friend
@@donna4047 I guess you didn’t notice the words in this song or the devil that showed up dancing behind the wall ?

No one has a vocal range quite like Tina. You don't hear talent like this anymore.
True. Not even Whitney Houston
Disagree ...Whitney Houston and Chaka Khan
@@dougwilliams2480 They're great singers as well. I guess I meant to say not many have a vocal range like her.
@@lynnlabra9633 well..no.. Whitney Houston is unmatched..
@@elianad2083 Whitney Houston also has a great vocal range, definitely. There's no question. I think their voices are so unique that really you can't compare them.
One of my favorites by the Queen! What an American treasure! Tina was awesome and loved by anyone that I knew at the time. We all still love you Tina! RIP. I still remember hearing this song for the first time. I was walking back into the living room after a restroom break and this video was playing, and I was in awe. I will always remember that moment as long as I live. What an interesting and well-done video with the perfect vocals to bring it home.😂
RIP Tina. You were simply the best. Classy and talented. 👌💐
Droga Tino byłaś i będziesz zawsze THE BEST. ♥♥♥
I had no idea this wonderful song was written by Mark Knopfler for Love over Gold but you can absolutely hear it once you know it. Turner's voice carries life experience that just can't be mimicked by young pretenders - however talented they are.
Ok
I'd like so much to hear this song sung by Mark.
Knopfler claims Jeff Beck's "Private Dancer" guitar solo is the second ugliest guitar solo ever. I'm assuming the ugliest would be Knopfler's solo on Steely Dan's "Time Out of Mind".
@@philliesfan1971 Steely Dan used Knopflers opening and closing "donations" to that song, not the solo
She has one of the most unique voices I have ever heard, one of a million
Have you heard a million voices?)
@@ProgramPython--k8i 😆
maravilhosa
@@ProgramPython--k8i haha that's funny. But you are right.
Thank you Ms. Turner for contributing your incredible talent to the universal soundtrack of our lives. And thank you for inspiring millions of women, children and men that we are worth more than the bruises on our bodies. Rest in power.❤
Tina turner rest in eternal peace X❤❤❤
Such talent many in today’s music industry can learn from her. ❤️ she is not vulgar or trashy .....simply a legend
Yes, I agree. And through it all she is really humble.
Dam. Right
Totally agree!!!
She's sexy but very classy
