"Boredom in someone antisocial leads to the pain and suffering of innocent people" is spot on. It's tremendously sad, because these antisocial people had a genuine friend in Sarah their whole lives, yet it wasn't enough to placate them. The worst and cruelest irony? If these friends had reached out to Sarah and said they were struggling and needed help or money - she likely would have just given it to them.
I always learn from Dr. Grande, he provides invaluable insight on how to perform robberies for example. A true teacher and mentor for all of us ;) On a more serious note, I was once betrayed by two close friends of 7 years. I asked them why ? They said they have no clue. Sometimes, people have depraved hearts.
Hearing about how friends of people kill them is always terrible. Especially since it seems all they wanted to do was rob her. Regardless of how one looks at it, there was no reason for her to die at the hands of her friends. Great analysis Dr. Grande. Keep up the great work.
You would think that she should have been completely safe with those two men, knowing her for so long. How in the world did those men have no feelings for her and thought nothing of killing her. So terribly sad that such evil exist 💔🌹

I lived & worked in NJ a couple of years back & nothing I've viewed or read about since more captures the sense of cheapness in life & casual betrayal I experienced from people I'd been led to trust than this poor woman's story. Not even in "The Sopranos" (har har!)Your reflections consistently illustrate a full spectrum of human behaviors & their consequences (with the occasional laugh track) that serve always to highlight the basic moral shared by all your stories --- be kind to people. No amount of money is worth the alternative.
Thanks for your post. Most people underestimate how much a community's outlook can influence individual behavior. I'm sorry you had the experiences you had.

Thank you, Dr. Grande, for your concise summary of this case. I’ve heard of this horrific case before but it was interesting to hear your input. I truly cannot imagine the horror she felt at having someone she viewed as a close friend strangle her. To look into his eyes, beg him to stop and him show no compassion or mercy.
What I can't believe is that he just did that one day. Someone like this must have been waving red flags all over the place for many years. I suspect that those around him just thought he was a "character," but he was really very ill.
When it's people you've known all your life, you dismiss the red flags against the backdrop of appropriate behavior they display most of the time. Or it's simply not wanting to believe your "longtime friend" is capable of betrayal.
Sometimes I’m glad that I didn’t keep friends over the years and I only have one or two people which I can at least trust enough to tell them about my life except for my bf. Oftentimes I thought I’m weird or a bad person if I didn’t keep the friends I made over the years but honestly I didn’t keep any of them because they didn’t seem trustworthy enough - they were just people who just wanted to have a good time and weren’t there for you truly or people who wanted to use you. Im just saying, especially for the young people out there, it’s cool if you don’t have a lot of friends and it’s cool to cut people out of your life.
I’m the same…as I’ve got older all of my friends from my younger days have dropped away for one reason or another and the friends I make now I’ll cut out pretty quickly if I decide it’s toxic or not in my best interest. I have a theory anyway that we are all inherently alone and when we are younger or insecure we seek friendships for transactional reasons I.e. not feeling like a reject, having a crew to hang with or go out with to seek other status/material related items like sex, relationships, meet celebs etc. friendships are about a need/ want and as I’ve aged I don’t feel that need and I also don’t succumb to feelings of unworthiness or that there is something wrong with me because I don’t have friends anymore. I have my cat, my child, my work, my bf and I’m good with that. 😀
I suspect suitably knowledgeable people would have noticed quite quickly. But relatively few seem to have any understanding of psychopathy or the behaviours it engenders.
I've always thought that, who she was, all Liam had to do was ASK Sarah for financial help. No doubt, she would have helped him out. This is a bitter, awful, evil betrayal.
Could you do analysis on any 911 operators reaction/ lack of empathy/ rudeness etc etc. Would you happen to know why they are the way they are or what their protocols are?

Evening, Dr. Grande. I want to thank you for all your videos as there are times I observe/learn new things, as I've been studying Psychology, for decades as it's always been a fascinating interest of mine when it comes to the psychology of the mind of the human race. 👍 Have an awesome day! 🌵
This story truly hurts my heart and turns my stomach. The darkness and Evil that human beings can have inside them can be so vile, perverted, and wicked I simply can't wrap my head around it. This is proof that there are people who are so soulless and void of morality, compassion, empathy, and remorse that they are no longer a person, but a predator without a conscious. How they live with themselves is beyond me. God, please shine your light in those of us who are losing the battle of letting evil in their hearts and minds🙏😓Amen.
Great video! Such a sad story. What a senseless death. I would love to see you cover the death of Morgan Ingram on your channel - mysterious death that was likely a suicide, but I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts.
Dr. Grande, would be interesting to hear your analysis of how a person can maybe predict this behavior.. can you imagine if someone like this is in your circle of friends??
It’s too bad Anthony didn’t go to the police before the murder of Sara. Murderers telling outside people of their crime is a key component of how May are caught. This is a sad story- so sad that young girl lost her life. Thank you, Dr Grande, for bringing us this compelling story ☀️🌵
Anyone here see Irrational Man with Joaquin Phoenix??? It’s a flick by Woody Allen. The way Dr. Grande analyzed this made me think of this movie!!! So interesting! Totally the same vibe. 😮
Hi Dr Grande. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passing comments on the foolishness of others. You are so well balanced IMO, and are a daily listen I very much look forward to. As the old adage goes....."if you could have dinner with 10 people (living or dead) who would you choose". YOU would be one of the invitees. Thank you for the inspiring information, the really funny dryer than the sahara desert humour, and the constant desire to tune in. 👋❤
This case breaks my heart. In the confession to his buddy, I believe the guy who actually went to the cops, the murderer mentions that Sarah’s dog just laid there and watched him kill her, because the dog knew him well and didn’t see him as a threat. Then he complained about how long it took him to actually strangle Sarah to death, because he thought killing her would be fast. It makes me sick. I’ve lost two close friends and I would give anything to have them back, then you have monsters like this in the world who take the innocent people they call “friends” for granted and/or worse. RIP Sarah ❤️ nobody deserves that, especially not someone as kind as she seemed to be.
I think that this story is sad who needs friends like this. Not only greed killed this young woman but her poor father 😢 He had to be there for his wife cancer ordeal and then to lose his daughter like this. May they burn eternally. I truly believe this lady would have given some of money for her "friends"
I remember this case so well. Excellent presentation as always Dr Grande! It appears Netflix loves con artists! I just watched 'Inventing Anna' ~ the case of Anna Sorokin which I was very familiar with following articles in Vanity Fair and New York magazine a few years ago. It's rather a fascinating story (a little drawn out, Netflix style) but I thought you & your viewers would enjoy.
Dr. Grande, can you take a look at the case of Alina Orlovo and Alyona Savchenko? Sort of an older one but I’m curious on how you’d evaluate them, considering one of them legitimately claimed to be a Psychopath. I will warn you, it is disheartening though.
Oh Dr. G!! "He gave a performance of a lifetime only to end up with a lifetime in prison." Priceless. Reminds me of the Dalia Dippolito defense where she claimed to be auditioning for a "reality TV show" when she tried to hire a hitman to kill her husband and it was all recorded. Thank God some of these murderers are so stupid.
What an incredible video, Dr. Grande! And what a disturbing and terribly heartbreaking case! Talk about a premeditated crime- planning it for 6 months....💔
I saw this covered on the news. It's so upsetting that I wasn't sure if I could watch this video. Great analysis though. This guy Liam wanted to brag and wanted to come across as a tough guy, especially to his friend who set him up. Dr. Grande was right. He was a 19 year old guy who was working at some restaurant and his life was going nowhere pretty quick. He thought this murder would bring something to his life. Now he gets to have an exciting life of trying to survive in prison.

That's what I thought of, as well.... Just asked her!
I always learn from Dr. Grande, he provides invaluable insight on how to perform robberies for example. A true teacher and mentor for all of us ;)
On a more serious note, I was once betrayed by two close friends of 7 years. I asked them why ? They said they have no clue.
Sometimes, people have depraved hearts.
In a number of jail house auditions, I love that.
A very sad case, they knew her when she was young, you can't even trust friends.
So tragic. That poor girl lost her mom and trusted her friends to be a support system. At least she had one person who stuck up for her in the end and helped catch her killer
I’m confused, what does NJ have to do with anything?, there’re bad people everywhere!
Unless you’re describing living in Newark, you have no idea what you’re talking about.
@@thevisi0naryy, even Newark has good areas. I’m from Spain, but lived in NY and NJ for a few years, and have pretty fond memories of NJ, so I truly don’t get the hate that the state gets!
@@LluviadeOrugas yep you are right.
"He secured a lead roll in prison theater productions" he says! Classic Dr. Grande humor! Top notch as usual, Doc!
This story has always pissed me off so much. Idk if it’s because they lived nearby so it feels more real but how do you do this to someone you grew up with and are so close to?
I have no close friends, and l'm quite happy to stay that way. 🙂
I agree.. she seemed so warm it saddens me deeply. These pieces of shit don't even deserve to live
I agree. Really makes you feel sad that there are people like this in the world.
M3n don’t have humanity or feelings, that’s why.
This is such a horrific case. How do you even go from being ‘friends’ since elementary school to sniping out someone’s life? :(
What kind of friends is that? So sad they were “friends “ since childhood. Amazing job!
How would you diagnose Liam? A Sociopath? I lived in Asbury Park, NJ during that time. It was all over the news. There are flowers & a picture of Sarah at the top of the bridge where Liam & Preston threw her body away like garbage. I feel so sorry for her & her family
Psychopath.
Psychopath. He had the thrill to kill.
Money gain was mostly to pay his accomplice.
@@ioanaanaoi8232
Oh ok thanks
I remember watching Liam recount the murder in the car. It was surreal, the lack of emotions.
I would have liked for you to assess Liam's psychology. It sounds like he would score high on the Hare psychopathy checklist.
That's a really strange flex. Telling a friend that you murdered another unsuspecting friend out of nowhere for a little pile of old money.
Hahaha, took the words right out of my mouth! Seriously, though...Spend 30 mins chatting up a friend in disgusting detail about how you just murdered someone as if you're telling someone how your day went, and then abruptly leaving That Anthony guy's face once Liam left the car must have epitomized the term "BrUhhH!!11".
What a beautiful young lady. How do you not want to protect someone that beautiful.
Ya I know so many pieces of shit people describe as great characters
When it's people you've known all your life, you dismiss the red flags against the backdrop of appropriate behavior they display most of the time. Or it's simply not wanting to believe your "longtime friend" is capable of betrayal.
@@rosej5029 wouldn't it been even scarier of there was no red flags.. Dude would of been the greatest actor of all time
Sometimes I’m glad that I didn’t keep friends over the years and I only have one or two people which I can at least trust enough to tell them about my life except for my bf.
@@South_Heat Are you sure you can trust your bf???
@@diannt9583 true, beware of boyfriends, talking about transactional relationships
This is one of the most heartbreaking stories I've ever heard
Congratulations on hitting 1 million subscribers 🎉🎉🎉
So sad this young lady had to loose her life for these 2 ignoramuse's!!
Frightening to think that such people walk among us and no one suspects. Surely someone would have noticed a psychopath walking.
I suspect suitably knowledgeable people would have noticed quite quickly. But relatively few seem to have any understanding of psychopathy or the behaviours it engenders.
I'm proud to say I don't think I've ever had a "friend" like these two guys. She deserved better friends. Thank goodness for Anthony.
Love these middle of the night uploads doc! Overnight nursing home shifts get pretty boring…..
Ah, you and me both. Haha. Though my shift ends at 11pm. Stay safe!!
Chimp attack lady, they said "oooohhh your chimpanzeeee" like a child was talking about the easter bunny
Excess empathy can be harmful. When seconds count, rudeness can be your friend.
That's good. I'm a victim in three cases of horrible responders, they really fuck up things
Do this: at the end of the day try to recount your interactions with people. How many times were you kind, on how many occasions you showed indifference and have you been rude at all? 911 operators are like you and me - human
@@malabuha One is day to day interaction, completely other thing is job with this level of critical attention to callers. Let's not confuse those two
This is absolutely one of the most senseless and infuriating cases out there. The level of betrayal here is unbelievable.
Some friends they turned out to be!!
I hadn't heard of this case Dr Grande. Thank you kindly 😊
Thank you for the unexpected upload! Perfect timing to top off a perfect friday night!
Saturday morning here mate 🏴 🇬🇧
@Benjamin David Lurie No, my lady is sleeping in 😄
Hey, Bucket Head! Always nice seeing you here! I hope all is well with you, my friend. 🥰😍🤩😘
Scary how heartless some ppl can be.
This one hurt! Trust is an important human emotion and this case really calls our belief in people in question. Sad!
I think boredom is essential to creativity. It gives you space to mull over ideas.
Dr Grande burning the midnight oil to get a video out for 🇬🇧 breakfast 07:20 am. A million times more enjoyable than reading my cereal box. 👍
I pass over this bridge everday... so sad.
What a disturbing and tragic case. Vile and greedy supposed friends.
Soooooo sick!!!! What the heck is wrong with these humans who just take another human life without any feeling of guilt!! Did they lose it somewhere in their childhood??
the fact that i'm 19 and i have a few distant mutual friends i've known since i was 6. i still care about them so much. this is terrifying.
No worries unless you reveal you have a shoebox full of money.
Very sad story. I said it before and I'll say it again. No matter how close someone is to you, human behavior is the most unpredictable behavior there is on this earth 🌎.
That's a peculiar remark given these videos are all about personality types and the behaviours they engender.
Perfect! Coffee in the morning, snow storm outside & a new Dr. Grande video!
She may have thought they were long-time friends but they weren't Friends at all.
OMG what kind of people are these classmates. This is so scary
That analysis is right on spot Dr. Grande, incredible breakdown and easy to understand on why the monsters did what they did
Evening, Dr. Grande. I want to thank you for all your videos as there are times I observe/learn new things, as I've been studying Psychology, for decades as it's always been a fascinating interest of mine when it comes to the psychology of the mind of the human race. 👍 Have an awesome day! 🌵
Don't ever let your left hand no what your rite hands doing prime example
Who needs enemies when you have "friends." This is such a tragic case.
I remember reading about this when the trial was going on. One of the more disturbing crimes ever.
Wow!!! with friends like these.
Mr Cool!!
Big socially distant hug from F.N.Q. Australia.☝🏽
This is fantastic, Doctor.
You've cured my insomnia-induced boredom.
That would be a perfect super power 🤗🤙
Might have been a good idea for Sarah to put the money in a bank, rather than keep it at home.
This happened minutes from my home. So sad
With friends like these, who needs enemies..
I really liked your explanation of boredom as a motivator, how different personalities behave when bored.
To be killed by your friend, someone you'd known for years. That is a level of betrayal I can't fathom.
Good morning, Dr Grande!🙋🌵🪴🌵🪴🍀 Good to see you! Thank You! Hi, everyone!🌞☺️🌚🌝
It’s too bad Anthony didn’t go to the police before the murder of Sara. Murderers telling outside people of their crime is a key component of how May are caught. This is a sad story- so sad that young girl lost her life. Thank you, Dr Grande, for bringing us this compelling story ☀️🌵
If we ever have extra money, it's better to be quiet about it. There might be others who will be jealous or just be greedy.
Anyone here see Irrational Man with Joaquin Phoenix??? It’s a flick by Woody Allen. The way Dr. Grande analyzed this made me think of this movie!!! So interesting! Totally the same vibe. 😮
Thank you for doing this case, Dr. Grande. What a horrible betrayal by a friend. Disgusting.
The title reminded me of a best friend I had in middle school! Brings back nightmares 😂
I wonder how many times she pleaded for her life in that thirty minutes. I'm so sick of these remorseless killers.
The human capacity for evil knows no bounds
Thank you for your commentary, Dr. Grande.
This case proves that you can't trust anyone. 😒
✌🏻💜😇
I have insomnia it is 4:15 am in Michigan. Thank you Dr Grande for the soothing voice at this hour.
Ah this case. Truly sad. Vids have been good lately Dr. G 👍
Actually all of his videos are good ☺ 👍
@@anonymousstrangeness7348 Very true. Just really been enjoying them recently
Wow, thank you Dr. G., I can't sleep tonight either 😊
Late night upload. Thank you 😊
What an incredible video, Dr.
