Your love for Jesus will remain...strong and fully intact. Its all about Jesus. I have left the church and bounced around several Baptist denominations, apostolic, etc.. During that period,, I met lovely people full of the spirit who had such a deep love for Jesus. I love the way they would sing and adore (with arms raised up) our Lord. The reason I wound up coming back to the Catholic church was because something seemed to be missing. The one true presence of our Lord and Savior in the Holy Eucharist.

Again Bishop Barron melds the O;d Tetament reading with the Gospel message. Tremendous. I was lector last evening for mass reading the wisdom passage. I prefer reading the Old Tetament passages. Earlier in the week, I was feeling ambivalent about this passage. So I researched the passage in Food for the Soul, by Peter Kreeft. It illuminated the meaning for me. Nnow Bisjop Barron made that light brighter. I always look forward to our Bishop's Sunday sermons here. Bless him.
Thank you Bishop Barron, I am having a better morning now, your message was much more uplifting and inspiring from the Homily my priest had at Mass. I came home in a funk and sat down to hear your message. I am inspired to ask for prudence and wisdom every morning when I wake up💜
@@RuminatinghafezI would offer instead: Cancer and war exist because of the brokenness of creation due to the fall. God doesn't CAUSE them; He ALLOWS them even though He prefers they didn't exist.
Prudence = frugal = being thorough and thoughtful before judgement or action. Logical and wise thinking in matters of finding a husband, getting a good job that takes you into retirement, and going to school are some of the most important decisions a woman can make in her life. Thank you Bishop Barron.
For the first time ever, I come across not just a clean comment section,(though god alone knws how rare a sight even that is) but a wholesome one in the internet.
To go to Heaven when I die. I try staying in a state of grace by going to confession every two to three weeks. I fast and pray and offer up EVERYTHING to God for the souls in Purgatory and for Sins against our Lady’s immaculate heart and Jesus’ sacred heart. I try to be prudent without being scrupulous. I always visit the blessed Sacrement on Fridays at adoration and always stay for Friday Afternoon Mass right after. I always go to confession while adoration is ongoing. I just submit to God and ask him to help me in all virtues especially when I commit the opposite sin to a virtue.
I just heard this thought. it doesn’t actually say he didn’t follow Jesus. there is a theory that he was Mark himself since it says “he went away sad”. knowing someone’s emotion might mean it was because it was Himself who wrote the story. And how humble if it was Mark to actually include that letting go of His stuff made him sad. It allowed Jesus to have that moment to teach the point.
Thank you Bishop Barron and my God continue to bless you with Wisdom and Prudence. You obviously know what to do with your gifts. You help so many of us grow closer to God when you deliver your homilies each week.
If our leaders in the family, church, and government ask for wisdom, our world wouldn't be terrible as it is today. Lord grant us your wisdom and prudence
I just ask God to be with me no matter what I have or what I haven't got; no matter how wise or stupid I am, especially when in my stupidity I walk away from Him, I pray He keeps on calling me...
Always a great homily. I needed to hear so many points to remind me of what is really important. “All gold compared to wisdom is sand”. “Don’t ask for health . Don’t ask for beauty . Don’t ask for wealth. Don’t ask for power. Ask for to understand your life from the standpoint of God.” “ Ask for wisdom. Ask for prudence”. 🙏😇 Thank you Bishop Barron for another awesome sermon.🧡

Upon thinking about this homily, I thought of Prudence and wisdom as husband and wife (married by God) of the virtues because together they can give birth to great understanding.
Great sermon, on a great topic! When Bishop Barron asked, "If you could pray for one thing, what would it be?", it reminded me of the joke about meeting a genie who says he'll grant you three wishes. And your first wish is for a million wishes. If I could pray for that one thing, it'd be wisdom, or prudence more specifically, as Bishop Barron goes on to examine. It's the one wish that leads to a million wishes. Everything flows from it.
One major idea that stands out to me is that wisdom gives us a higher-perspective on life, and what really matters. When we seek wisdom, we're putting ourselves on a secure path because we then have the right perspective on everything. I remember thinking about wisdom as a higher perspective when I talked about this gift of the Spirit to a group of middle schoolers preparing for Confirmation at my home parish.
Your Exellency, beautiful sermon, and one that this person who is lacking in prudence and wisdom really needs! Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart!
Bishop Barron is always interesting, but this sermon gets to the heart of the matter that we all face, how do we find what God needs us to do...we must ask for wisdom and prudence first. Ultimate mic drop message

Thank you Bishop Barron, a wonderful teaching. God bless you.
Thank you Bishop Barron.
You always give us such good insights.
This was beautiful explanation, thank you and may God increase your prudence, wisdom and faith. May God save you from any harm!
Good! Then take the effect of being smart.
