Lord Jesus grant me strength. I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children. Jesus hear my prayers.❤️
Make sure you are looking for pantries that you can access, and hopefully, medicaid is helping you, and are there disability benefits available to you?
"Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you. I am ready for all. I accept all. Let only your will be done in me and in all your creatures. I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you Lord, and so need to give of myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reservation and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father"
*Bishop Barron:* At those most dire moments when you think "I'm about to lose everything," give away even the little you have and you will find it multiplied thirty, sixty and a hundredfold.
I was at this point. Bad news over and over like a black cloud following us around. I sat in a hospital parking lot before going up to be with my extremely ill daughter who had just faced another setback and said, “Really, God? Again?” And the thought suddenly came to me- God, I truly believe, said, “Haven’t I been here for her and for her husband and children - ALL if you this whole time? I’ve sent you scores of helpers- time after time. I will continue to. Trust in me.” The thought, the words came so suddenly, in the midst of my tears and deep despair, that there’s no doubt in my mind, it WAS God. Bishop Barron says, “When things are toughest, TRUST. Make an act of trust, an act of faith. And then, be ATTENTIVE to even the strange and surprising ways that God responds to you.” My friends, no matter how dire the situation- personally, or more widely, make an Act of Faith. Jesu Ufam Tobie, Jesus, I trust in you.
It’s that time of the year where I would rather just crawl under a rock and wait for spring. It’s dark, stressful at work and all my social energies are spent. The Lord had someone site next me at Mass this morning and He put in my heart to sign up to greet at mass.
I'm Lungile from south Africa, bishops Sunday homilies, edify my Sunday mass in a manner that is such a blessing, my self and my family are internally grateful.
These readings always remind me of Danny Thomas, the actor. When Danny Thomas, as a young married man with a baby on the way, was down to his last few dollars, I think he had just $8 left, he went into a Catholic Church to pray. He prayed through the intercession of St. Jude Thaddeus, asking for guidance and help: “If I get a job as an actor, and if I’m successful, I will build you a shrine.” Then he put his last $8 in the poor box. He got a job, became extremely successful in radio, TV, and film, and kept his promise by building St. Jude Children’s Hospital. ❤️❤️❤️
My father, My way! How I thought I was destitute. But as I seen you coming I knew your word. For you not spwaketh but shine. I see you there and I soar with spirit. Oh how the beast has pulled you from.
Oi. Brasil aqui. Eu simplesmente amo ouvir o Bishop Barron. Ele é iluminado e tem uma forma muito educativa de explicar as coisas de Deus. Ele tem enriquecido minha vida como Cristã
Bishop Barron's sermons always hit home with wisdom that I need to hear and when I need to hear it. He is a blessing that has brought me much comfort and I am so very grateful that he takes the time to post these for us all.
This is so strange! I randomly picked up that verse of the Bible yesterday and the interpretation was "trust in God in the face of uncertainty". It's as if God is repeating his message to me through this magnificent homily!
@@MsSeeker4ever I have found so many times in my life, I’d be struggling or wrestling with something, within, or in my mind. I’d walk into Mass. and the homily would be EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I look up at the crucifix and say, “I hear you, Lord!” 😌 God knows everything we are feeling and going through. Sometimes just saying, “Jesus, I trust in You” is all we need.
What a marvelous blessing that this bishop can add a new dimension to every lectionary, most often at church after hearing his sermon that same section of the lectionary is enhanced even further.
Thank you Bishop Barron for another beautiful sermon that touches the depth of our soul and being and encourages us to find out if we really trust in God in dire times or our faith is on the right track. God bless and have a blessed Sunday everybody. ✝️🙏❤️🇨🇦
Thank you, Bishop Barron. Your homily today spoke to my heart! I must learn to trust particularly when the situation is hopeless! Hold my hand, dear Lord, and lead me on. (Fr. Alex)
Thank you for reminding me to trust in the Lord even when life seems to be the bleakest and to give away even the little that I have. I have so much to offer even when I have very little. What a paradox. My mind and way of thinking is always opened up whenever I listen to Bishop Barron. Thank you Lord for your messengers - please strengthen them so they can strengthen us. AMEN.
Wonderful homily dear Bishop Barron as always. You explain the bible passages so clearly - I can understand it perfectly. Like a light has gone on in my head, heart and soul. May God bless you abundantly.🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Thank you Your Grace, Bishop Robert Barron for a very enlightening homily that reminds us to TRUST GOD in our trials & tribulations. God bless you always.
Deeply moved; the Bible repeats this lesson many times, in so many ways. I have found myself also in this situation, where I have given time and treasure asking nothing in return, and sometimes with adverse financial effects on my own resources. Still, I believe this is what God expects us to do, and so I just trust. In my own limited, intellectual abiilty, I am still computing, still trying to weigh whether I have "been repaid" or whether I have "reaped more" than I lost, and I also realize that sometimes, God's answers are not so obvious, and that the exercise in faith must continue. I rest knowing God is always true to His word, and His timing is not mine. Dear Father, Faith is a currency that I ask you send to me in abundance!
Thank u Bishop Barron. I recite this everyday of what Elijah said to the widow at Zarepath: Jar of meal shall not empty. Cruze of oil shall not fail until the day the Lord sends rain upon the earth. It’s such a powerful prayer. Through this prayer, he blesses us from his abundance.
Assailed by droughts of unwanted crosses life may bring, teach us in the stillness of our hearts what the refined value of trust in you God, holds for us.❤
Thank you Bishop Barron. I am learning to trust God to lead me where it makes sense for Him to lead me, though my faith is smaller than a mustard seed 🙏☦️
Praise be Jesus Christ God's instructions are specific, His plan is perfect, borne of love. Ours is to trust in Him, our task: obedience to God and not to ourselves. Thanks be to God and thank you father.
Christ wants us to approach HIM freely, in a natural process and wanted at all times on our part. We are creatures of His Father, and as His Most High Father, He respects us very much. In the bloody decisive battle that we face in this world and housed in this perishable body, we could be born as children of His Most High Father, knowing what we could be, He Loves us even much more
Thank you Bishop Baron, you always extend my knowledge. I am a new found Christian and you are one my teachers. Thank you for what you do and God bless.
Such a deep yet simple explaination for this Gospel. This happens to me all the time give whatever l have and God will provide. My Father always repeated. DIO PROVEDE and does He ever.?????!!!!love your preaching never miss it and share it . EVANGELIZATION ALL WAYS.THANK YOU BISHOP BARRON
Thank you Your Excellency for this wonderful sharing. My feeble senses and weak faith mean I sometimes need to hear something like this to know God cares and hears my pleas. Its not that I don’t know these truths but my faith stutters many at times. Thanks.
Thank you so much, Bishop Barron. Ive made a habit hearing your sermon before going to mass. You are such a blessing. You have reached me here in the Philippines.
In our church bible study group we tried to discern the meaning of this counter intuitive story. The way you explain it makes perfect sense. Thank you Bishop Barron!
don't try to discern it. pray about it. it's not meant to be studied but taken internally into the heart. that's what Bishop Barron does. it's not a study. let it take you..................
The context that our good friend Bishop Barron lends to the readings each week is so helpful. This parable is now clear to me and I will remember it and turn to it for comfort. Thank you!
The themes of the liturgical year ALWAYS coincide with what I’m dealing with. EVERY Mass is a synchronistic experience to a certain degree. Makes sense since in Judaism, every month (which follows a completely different calendar) has a theme, as does every decade. And we are by extension disciples of The Law of Moses, made flesh. Thanks be to God 🙏🏻
Beautiful story. And the widow reminded me of the widow that gave alms for the temple in time of Jesus. Who would take away from what you have reserved for your son's last meal and give it to a stranger?
I see a gathering darkness of evil enveloping the world. Believe. Be strong. The only way we are going to survive is our faith that God's plan will be fulfilled.
There's no doubt that as humans, with all we face in this life, we need a constant reminder that we can trust God, even when it doesn't make sense and we can't see the whole way forward. As is indicated by the second reading from Hebrews, we can trust God because He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to be our Savior.
Trust has always been hard for me. Divorce made trust even harder. In my world, a bill of divorce equals widow. Resolve: Lord, help me to trust your providence while I pray work and live my life. Help me to be a woman who never stops turning to You before anything else. Help me live so that my children and grandchildren will also follow Your ways. If You should ever allow me the grace to marry again please allow me to marry the man I raised my children with, because no one else matters. Amen.
Beautiful Sermon that resonates with the currents of our times, calling on us to be _awake_ and attentive especially to the people God sends our way whilst _re-member-ing_ (Being part of) that *Our Being increases in the measure that we give it away when He/She comes knocking.*
My problem isn’t that I don’t trust in God. He’s is there I have no doubt. I don’t trust my ability to tare down my own walls. He has given all I need. I have turned against those gifts for my own pleasure. I pray every day I can use the strength He clearly offers me, to give up my life for his. I fail to often.

At my rope’s end. Don’t know how much longer I can hang on. God speak to me, your servant is listening. I trust in You.
hang on. me too. things are tough. know you are not alone.
I, too, speak from a difficult spot. Hang in there. Trust in God's power and mercy.
I will pray for you. Hope you will get through this 🙏
No matter what, don't give up. If you are having bad thoughts, disregard them, they are not the truth. They are just thoughts!
❤ Praying for you
Love these sermons which always make my Sunday mass experience so much more meaningful.
My Sunday isn't complete without Bishop Barron's sermon. There always deep insights and this week is no different.

Thank you Bishop Barron, for your Sunday sermon! Always arrives at the expected time. Wonderful and thank you. God Trinity bless us!
Bishop Robert Barren. You really explain well the first reading of the 32nd Sunday. A great lesson on trust, faith and obedience.
Often, I wish I could sit down and have a conversation with Bishop Barron after these. Never more than this time.
Just speak with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "I will send you a Counselor . . . He will guide you into all truth."
Thank you Bishop Barron for your words today 🙏🏻🕊✝️🕊🙏🏻
