Really? The man that went out of his way back in 2020 to tell Catholics they could vote for Biden because of flaws in both Biden and Trump, but then included nonsense woke claims to draw a bogus moral equivalence between Trump and Biden. He betrayed us, sadly. We must forgive him, of course, but we must also recognize the wolf in sheep's (shepherd's?) clothing. Pray for him, but keep your theological ears and eyes open. Bishop Barron also praised some nonsense from last year's session of the Synod. Very sad indeed.

@@deannafernandes5176 I used to have more sympathy for the Trad's especially in light of a far more secular modern society. Thats no longer the case.
Increasingly they strike me as themselves heretical, divisive, and the equivalent of modern day pharisees focused entirely on form and rituals with little thought as to God or what He cares about. I think Jesus will have the same contempt for the modern version as well. You aren't helping the Church. You divide Christ's Church, forget who its head is, and your endless hate and propaganda do nothing more than alienate potential converts and believers. Repent and end the nonsense or I suspect you will answer for the harm you do.

@@arthurgrey8967 A long list of name calling accusations for someone denouncing the Pharisees. So why exactly, in specifics, which the Eighth Commandment requires, does taking offense at a contemporary Pope, who has denied the divinity of Christ, denied the immutablility of truth, denied the sinlessness of Mary, embraced Marxism and denounced anyone condemning their crimes against humanity, a Pope who defends sexual abuses, and a Pope, who by his actions, has supported abortion, why are these critics evil, and not what they criticize evil?

      1. _"The majority will be saved"_

      VS
_“How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it!"_

      2. _“Christianity is the preferred way to God"_
      *Bp Barron*
      VS
_"Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me."_
      *John 14:6*
It's embarrassing and disturbing how morally corrupted the hierarchy of my Church has become.

Our Shepherds And our Bishops our Apostles ,should speak out plainly to their priests to empower them, because most don't "speak out" to their flock about these blasphemous attacks on Our Lord and His Church! I never hear anything from our priest much less the Bishops about these blasphemous offenses! Crickets! We hope to hear them defend the Catholic Church, but nothing!! Holy Adorations in reparation are never held when these attacks happen ever!! Shepherds, lead the flock!! Many priests never acknowledge that it is even an issue!! All due respect Bishop, you say Catholics should speak up, no problem, several of us are ready, but usually we get ignored or shut down by our priests or bishops. Like they don't want to be bothered or "make waves". Maybe they are waiting to hear from you to say "we won't stand for this!" This rather than everyone being complacent because our shepherds our apostles are not saying much at all. How about caring for the souls and informing that no Catholic should vote democrat because their platform, to a point, goes against Church (God's) teaching, which means going against God.Jesus, Mary and Joseph we love you, save souls+

The Church has given up her authority post Vatican II. She is not providing leadership. We have lost to the pagan world. @@dave_ecclectic The traditional date for the Nativity was the December 25 before AD1, [Dec 25 1BC], therefore He would have been one in AD1 and so on.
However many believe that the monk [St Denis] who calculated the BC/AD calendar did his sums wrong and Our Lord was actually born between 6BC and 4BC.
I believe the date of Dec 25 is correct or at least close for the following reason. Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist received his vision whilst burning incense in the Temple. This would have taken place on the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur, which was celebrated at around the autumnal equinox [late September]. Luke then describes the Annunciation as being in the 6th month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, and six months after the autumnal equinox is the spring equinox in March, and December is nine months after March.

The man that went out of his way back in 2020 to tell Catholics they could vote for Biden because of flaws in both Biden and Trump, but then included nonsense woke claims to draw a bogus moral equivalence between Trump and Biden. I hope that never happens. He's a gifted teacher but what he teaches can be heretical. It starts with his view of limited inerrancy. Once a man believes that error exists in Scripture except in matters related to salvation, the door is opened to being his own God - after all, you can decide what Scriptures are mere literary allegory and scientifically incorrect.

  • @williamscott3123

I’m concerned about the Church acquiescing to the culture rather than calling the culture to repentance and conversion to Christ. We see this with the pope’s recent controversial comments about all religions being pathways to God. In the western church we see how the LGBTQ+ movement has swayed so many companies and people to conform to their woke ideology. The Church must stand firm in its commitment to Truth while also extending the grace and mercy of Christ to the world. If it makes any concessions to the world and to this woke mind virus, it will become irrelevant.

In uncertainty I believe that in uncertainty keeping truth as the keeping of the inseparability and qualitative equality of thinking procreation role gift doing processes and having faith progress in meeting identity's need of union of being is this in uncertainty believing.

AND Why has ‘Fr.’ James Martin been allowed to behave so Very Badly, & just left to carry on scandalizing both Catholics & others? The ‘Laity’ are allowed/encouraged to participate etc. However, we/they Must be properly taught their Faith before being let loose on those who often don’t know their Faith. I have long esteemed Bishop Barron. Another issue I would like addressed at this year's Synod, or perhaps better in the Study Groups but addressed, is the acknowledgement of Saint Christopher, the semi-Saint much associated with medicine. Our world is blessed with many Catholic hospitals; and our Church needs to take a more active role in promoting Christian humanity in these Churches. And we need to defend the key tradition of our Saints, including Saint Christopher, please.
