@@joonyah8904 Just because the devs put estus in the game during invasions, doesn't mean the community can't come together and create guidelines for duels. There is a difference between invasions and duels. The area he is fighting in is a dueling spot and it's pretty well known that using estus there in duels makes you a punk. There is a difference between summoning someone with a sign and being invaded. It mostly happened because people want to get their reward and move on to the next duel, not dance around for 30 minutes to get one kill. It's a social norm.

The skill difference or lack of skill is easily discerned by looking at some stats. Here they are if the video is too long or if you just like numbers.
If I was paying attention correctly...
The other player:
Spent probably 66-75% or more of this video running in a direction that puts distance between himself and Jee, this includes the parts where they're actually engaged in a fight. This allowed Jee enough time to kill all of the fire throwing aldritch npcs, and time to kill the giants.
Within 38 minutes, he hit Jeenine 19 times that did not result in him taking return punishment damage, aka 19 "clean hits".
-2 Hits are from comboing a second R1 attack
-1 Is a blocked attack
-1 is from punishing a backstab on a fireball aldritch
-3 are from Jee running away from the silver knight area
In summary, the other player landed *one safe hit for every two minutes* that passed, none of which actually amounted to anything, Jee was able to survive only using regen gear until the 3 hits at the end after *36 minutes*, the summoned player healed using estus the first time he lost the majority of his health bar.
All of these successful hits were done using a straight sword. Every other hit that the player landed resulted in either a trade or return damage immediately after.
Parried Jeenine *once* out of many attempts, most of which where Jee wasn't even swinging, the other player did not riposte as he did not react to landing the parry because it was completely random and guesswork.
Pretty sure the deacon guys hit g more than the “invader”

Parry on read for that desperately needed burst damage? Nah, random parrys to dissuade aggression, the teammate behind takes all the risk out of the high risk- high reward strategy.
Learn neutral or even aggression? That's when 2 40end phantoms chase down an invader till he makes one mistake(or gets frame trapped) and blendered.
Idk mabye I'm just mad cause a chaotic 3v3 where everyone wants a good fight is the fun thing this game still offers.

100% - it's funny how parries have evolved. It used to be reds with small shields & SS, and going for actual parry reads. Eventually most reds realized going for parries is a high-risk game, with insufficient reward most of the time (there are of course exceptions).
At the same time, the host team started parrying a lot more. They realized the random parries will get you a lot of kills, AND force the other team to slow their aggression. I've noticed a lot of gank hosts take out a parry tool the moment they're left alone without their phantoms to back them up.

@@iamamishAny capable gank can set up a wake-up that nullifys all pressure gained through the riposte, and that is only if the parry lands. A whiffed parry killed me many a times. The only thing a ganker can lose is a bit of momentum on the 3-man rundown.

This is Sad lol. You can find a Lot of players using clips of you with titles such as : "G9 exposed, G9 cheating, etc". But you look at the vídeos and its 4x1 unscalled gankers streamsniping you, and they feel like hot shit. Specially brazilians, shame. They dont even know what to do when 1vs1

I'm brazillian and i feel embarassed by such coward people... even if i have 2+ phantoms on my world, i try to 1v1 the invader fair and square but well, if he sips in the middle of the duel, i let the phantoms gank him lol
A duel isn't a duel anymore if the etiquette is destroyed...

This happened to ChaseTheBro, chase made a video about some host he invaded that would resummon constantly. I believe chase won so the host makes an account dedicated to calling chase out for being a coward because he did a tactical retreat
I mean, what can you really say here - this guy exposed himself. Losing to Jee? No big deal, happens to all of us, all the time. Nobody would think badly of him for losing a duel to Jee. In fact, probably most people would respect the effort and owning the loss. I would have.
Instead, in what can only be described as one of the biggest self-owns I've seen in 2021 DS3, he runs away and tries to treat it like an invasion.
This doesn't even address the exceptionally passive play, just running away over & over and begging for a whiff he can punish. It also doesn't address the mindless roll spam - you can see the gank just soften his skills because he can get away with spamming roll as a latent over-leveled in a gank.

It is as you say. Playing in a gank softened his skills. There is nothing he can do in a situation like that because he's hardwired behaviors in his playstyle that are safe in a gank but stupid in a 1v1 setting. It's why they die so quickly when they are separated. They have no clue how to aptly defend themselves in a way that doesn't involve someone else tagging in.

This was probably the most painful and satisfying video I have ever watched. I will never understand the mindset of these people, you’re being outplayed take the loss and move on. JeeNine has destroyed me on more than one occasion, guess what I didn’t die irl because of it.

Yup, the only threat to their opponents is getting nuked off a random parry, which forces you to slow your aggression. The shitty internet is a key piece of the equation - otherwise the very predictable panic rolls would get annihilated, and the fight would end in about 17 seconds.

Edit: High level PvP. Tournament level PvP on all souls games is boring as shit.
Tournament level PvP is held at Old Wolf where u can't do this as much bc of arena structure; the only really boring aspect was the widespread meta usage, but even then there were guys like Tesukatora who went to a tournament with a fucking 2handed Havel's Shield; I've also heard, not too long ago, of quite a number of tournaments where certain things were banned bc everyone would use them otherwise, so it should have become less of a problem, if it still holds true to now.
Please, tell me this is a set up! I know i leave sorta negative comments here from time to time coz i kinda cringy about all this "competitive" side of this game and community, but god damn it! How..? Even i would be ashamed af if i act like that. And i, again, very sceptical about copetitive part of ds3. How he can just... live. Why he doing this?
