"If dodging isn't your thing", perfect sentence to describe BHS lmao
Yeah lmao, it literally shows how broken this game is. If the core mechanic that made this game so balanced in the first place isn't your thing, just use the broken and stupid exploit instead!
Bloodhound’s step is an evasive move, complaining about it won’t help y’all catch us
@@mioko9796 Yeah and it's completely broken, I have not met a single BHS user that knows how to actually dodge, BHS spammers literally handicap themselves by using this, because instead of actually learning they would rather instantly die once their FP runs out

“If you can’t perform the most basic and central mechanic to the game, consider cheating” is what it translates to
IGN and it's consequences have been a disaster for literally every game ever
I think it's more an issue of community's getting bigger and less centralized. Older DS games survived because they had a smaller and very tight-knit community that kept the games alive between steam sales.
ER is a big, popular game, but that means having to deal with an even bigger and more casual crowd than before. There are so many of them, they're drowning out and replacing a lot of the long-time fans, undermining the community from under our feet.
DS3 had this a lot, too. The influx of awful people who chase away all the old fans. ER is just another step of that progression, but now the DS3 fans get to feel what it was like for the rest of us to experience the shitshow that was DS3!
*IGN and it's consequences have been a disaster for mankind
This. Dark souls pvp is one of my favourite enjoyments ever. In elden ring im over in a month where i havn't even enjoyed pvp because of the connection issues and balance problems. Enjoy the poise, dual naginata, bhs, rivers of blood, etc.spams the casual comminity is promoting, the enjoyment if any won't las long and the pvp comminity will be dead soon. Rip fromsoft pvp, waa a fun ride
It's weird but inevitable but I'm 36 and remember the very early days of the ign website. It was a damn small website that I would go to for news about the upcoming N64 launch and Mario 64. It was cool then.

Most annoying thing about the L2 spam weapons is how annoying they are to fight against in ganks, in duels they are pretty easy to deal with. Though that might just be because the players are terrible in a 1v1. I don't think invasions should be fair on the invader but the fact that almost every invasion is against 3 people with this shit is just boring. You wait for a couple min, hope you don't get a connection error and either win the fight in one second or get put in a Dragon breath Rob blender.

@@quangdungpham6276 maybe im wrong but I don't think it's worth it except if u need some stats for welding some weapons but as jee said you'll take a LOT more damage so yea (just lvl up)
@@quangdungpham6276 only worth at low levels like maximum 60 and no more
The soreseals are definitely not worth it lategame it's nice to have midgame but after that point just learn to dodge level and make a more well rounded build that is good and suits you. I was using Radagons soreseal at around lvl 150+ when I was fighting Radagon/Elden beast I took it off and I was tanking hits way better (this is obvious). However I didn't expect it to make that much of a difference since I only had 50 vigor, being able to survive hits from late game bosses is worth the damage trade off since you most likely already have a high enough damage output.
@@quangdungpham6276 This is 2 months old but, essentially it’s only good early game. Once you start having the actual stats to wield your weapons you should probably unequip it, the extra damage that you take just starts be detrimental. Sore seal makes you take a percentage damage increase, so the further you get into the game the more and more damage you will already take from the enemies.
TLDR; only use it to wield weapons you normally can’t and especially only do it early game.
Something I feel has been an issue since DS3 is the fact that there is no benefit for wearing light armor sets.
DS1 has quick rolls, and wood grain rolls if you were feeling toxic. DS2 had it so that the distance you rolled AND your stamina recovery both scaled with your carry weight percentage.
In both, it was a legitimate strategy to pump up your carry weight, not to wear beefier armor, but to better benefit from your light armor. You had a real choice: less poise, but better movement and stam, which was great for quick weapons, or more poise and defense, which worked well with bigger, slower weapons.
The loss of both this, and the fact bigger weapons do barely any more damage than small weapons, and do LESS than stanced light weapons, has really gimped build diversity. And I hate it.
BB did the same thing, but infinitely better. It got rid of weight altogether, which also removed dodge distance modification and Regen based on weight percentage. But at the same time, armor was mostly cosmetic, and you wore what you liked, and used any weapon you enjoyed. Soooooo much nicer than what we have now.
Good comment 👌 A good analysis of that problem.
Simplest solution is to add a new equipment load type, like 40%-60%, with either different invincibility frames, more rolling distance, or slightly increased stamina regeneration. Wouldn’t be hard to implement. Would be nice if leveling STR also slightly increased max equip load for heavier armors.
Well No Theres a build called a flynn bud where you hit like a truck and all you can wear is master attire + a light weapon
Sure you sacrifice and ring slot but you only really need +sword ring and Favor+3 you have an extra slot for whatever

I ran into that "Fires deadly sin+ bloodflame blade" glitch last night. Wasn't aware it existed. I smashed the host several times when dueling and I didn't recognize the buffs the last time he summoned me. I was disgusted.
@Abdulrhman sea There's a new one that stacks FDSs and bloodflame blade instead of the eclipse shotel death blight stack.
@Abdulrhman sea They only patched it for Deathblight, it works fine for other status.
@Abdulrhman sea They did for death blight. Me and my friend do taunter tongue and we have a rule. My friend is a little over leveled so he dumped his points in things he don't use like int and endurance. There is one exception. If we see a sepuku bleed build or this bs. He immediately uses law of regression. This incantation removes all buffs and effects so goodbye greese and fires deadly sin.
i'm not defending what they're doing but! what if you think of it this way: the fact that the ign tools are helping spread this nonsense means more people start using it, which in turn will help highlight all the flaws and stuff that is wrong with elden ring's pvp which should hopefully mean it forces fs to step in and start adjusting shit sooner rather than later, or risk having the pvp in this game turn into a clown fiesta
the more obvious it is that the pvp is broken (the more people complain because they got shit on), the faster they have to act. videos like the one by ign should in theory just speed up the process... at least that's what i'm hoping, and this is all assuming fs even cares about pvp, which, based on my experience, doesn't always seem like the case
On the other hand it can mean that people would think that getting 1-2shotted is ok because they can do the exact same thing, so they will get tired really quickly and leave, it is one thing, then if there will be no balance patches before dlc elden ring imo will be doomed to die in like 2 years?(i already dont see very bright future for it considering how little testing was done to balance pvp and pve in general)
fromsoft have a history of not caring
@@holmesholmes.8784 That does change, though, with sales! DS1 - almost no updates (you needed mods to make PtD edition work on PC), DS2 did have some patches that were very much needed, but maybe not as many as we'd like.
DS3 was SAVED by the patches. DS3 at launch was just as bad as Elden Ring at launch. Over the course of a year, DS3 got patched until it was at least balanced (still boring, but balanced)!
During the DS3 era, Bando-Namcai had an English-language community manager named Kimmundi who was absolutely essential for getting feedback back to the devs. Sadly, we don't have them anymore, but Fromsoft's history of patching their games has typically improved over time.

I'm so frickin mad I fell asleep during this segment! I even fought against AND alongside Jee and could have done so even more but I had to screw up and fall asleep! It was fun while it lasted at least. I even got to fight 2 other guys who summoned me during the wait. Gg's to the both of them, whoever they may be...
"Baby Ring, have your 2 level 500 summon body guards carry you to the elden ring" *title music intensifies*
Today I made like 10 invasions in a row. Without lying the host always had to phantoms with him and all of them were using one of the OP katanas. Today sucked hard
Stealth, bow and status buildup...
I’m new to souls games elden ring is the first one I played, my main goal was to get rivers of blood, but when I got it and how powerful it was and how it was just Lt spam it ruined the whole mood. I went into a boss fight where I was just getting stomped, barely getting any damage in but as soon as I equipped rivers of blood it was a cake walk and it didn’t feel like I did anything to beat them, I use colossal weapons and halberds stuff like that love the bonk.
Watchdog staff is cool
There is no difficulty in between. Either piss easy, or tedious with difficulty that feels artificial. That's my experience anyway. Still a great game, but without pvp or bossfights that feel addicting, I don't have a reason to play.
Remember miyazaki's own words of focusing on players feeling satisfaction after defeating a challenge ? Wonder wtf was going in their minds making this game
First run, duel daggers... Stun locked bosses, pretty much abandoned the character... Tried again with one starting game katana... Stun locked Renalla... Sad. Seriously, why isn't there a stun lock immunity build up after stunning? They have poison build up, just do it the same: Stunning should add to the bar, do too much too fast and they get temporary immunity for a bit...
Improved title: IGN teaches you how to be a meta slave NPC with no original thought
You can't spell ignorance without IGN.
Wonder when the IGN chainsaw guide comes out xD
18:21 look at his buffs lol he even has Fias debuff ahahahahhah
I'm thinking about making a STR/INT zwei/darkmoon build is that good or
The guide is absolutely laughable overall. The little informed points they make during the video are completely and ultimately overshadowed by a lack of game mechanic knowledge (fire's deadly glitch) and creativity (recommending RoB, stars of ruin, bloodhound step, poise monster armor mostly, bloodhound fang, moonveil, dragon communion incantations, etc. I did not see 1 single thing that the meta isn't already using/abusing. There are hundreds of weapons and spells on the game with more creative movesets and different casts etc but they resort to the 1-shot, infinite dodge, spammy meta.
30s in and i can tell this is gonna be great lmao
5:34 it’s more than just that I use a carian knight build using the carian knight armor and do just fine
honestly fire's bloody sin does punish dodge spamming, because you have to run away, he'll catch up if you spam roll
Dung Eater was right...
I actually like to use Moonveil on a low poise fashion set up to bait people into thinking I'm a moonveil noob when really I'm a combo mage. You can cast spells while moonveil is sheathed with no penalty to casting speed, so I like to act like I'm tossing out a moonveil but then quickly throw out a Gavel of Haima or a Glintstone Arc to rollcatch. Maybe do the old carian slicer into piercer rollcatch, they almost never expect it too cause everybody is so conditioned to expect the moonveil slice to come out the instant that they sheath.
Dude, you are a hero to me. Almost all moonveil users I have seen only do AOW then roll then repeat over and over and over, it is so boring.
I once faced a dude with a moonveil that did 90% of my hp 55 vigor and no bling, if I ever hit him then he would just BHS away from me and spam moonveil somewhere else, I was a dude with a club and alone, just a long club.
The dude was an invader, I often use TT to fight invaders solo to see how their builds work at certain RL or just to have some fun fighting.
@@cristhianalmendares8276 if you do AOW and roll wouldn’t you just run out of mana and die? I mean i would love fighting moonviels if they are all like that.
@@dudeiii2069 I could try, but… I simply don’t have the patience to dodge moonveil 9-11 per flask for arround 10 minutes. And also, people are smart, there is going to be a point where mindlessly spamming the AOW is going to have a real cost.
Have you tried the ruins greatsword yet, Jeenine? It may seem scummy, but it feels so good to launch gankers into the air with its weapon art. Many people underestimate how fast the weapon art is or it’s range or just don’t know how to dodge it which makes the weapon art hit hard and often
56 MINUTE VIDEO??? LESGOOO!!!
The bottom feeders of IGN straight back at it. What even surprises you 😂
the very original blood build!
Jee's reactions are priceless, clicked on this reaction video immediately, was satisfying!
"We recommend the fingerprint stone shield"
My sides!
I have only watch like 2 minutes of the video and I feel like this is all a joke to troll people like us who know of unoriginal this and how stupid some of their ideas are.
Not refering to Jeenine of course, I am talking about the IGN clip.
I truly hope that slowly the E.R player base comes off the Copium and accepts the game is not that good.
PvP is bugged, PVE scaled ludicrously, Hell Malenia had that glitch that made her insta die in phase two, so what does From do?
They make it so she can’t be put into phase 2 by ripostes or status, and haven’t dropped a patch since.
The Souls saga is over boys. “This spot marks our grave.”
Elden ring is just worse dark souls in every way other than map size. But that seems to be ignored by the 80% of Er players that never played souls before.
Havent we had a few balance patches though
Dude, you probably didn't see DS2 and 3 in their early days. ER is certainly not worse, and yet not better than it's predecessors. It's the same kind of bullshit. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, just google videos with hexes, infinite stunlok by broken swords, horrendous hitboxes in both games that were wider than fucking Big Smoke.
Btw, no copium. It's just funny to see the exact same reaction of Souls community to new games for more than a decade.
@BadlandsChugs_20 You’re entitled to your opinion but I disagree. It has the best aesthetics and world building sure, but it has 100% the most egregious level of bullshit I have ever seen in the series. I never said you can’t play it or have fun with it either, as if you do that is great. However I am still going to stand by my opinion that this is by far, at least in terms of replaying the game or engaging in PVP, the worst in the series. Bar none.
The solution to Bloodflame Fire's Deadly Sin: Swap the cast duration and speed of Blackflame and Bloodflame, and keep the Deadly Sin effect. Bloodflame is already better than every other weapon buff with its duration and bleed effect, shorter duration would require more FP to be spent on it while giving only a shorter duration buff to apply the burning bleed. This also would make Fire's Deadly Sin decent with Black Flame which saps health but isn't as sudden or as much damage as Blood Loss triggers. If you don't have these effects, Deadly Sin has little use besides popping bubbles which can be done with a consumable.
Stacking poise will only help you so much against the win button your enemy is mashing. You just need to know how to use the moves that break poise.
I've learned a few things from watching you and i try to apply them to the best of my ability when i play.
But this IGN vid quite literally shows why i stopped playing elden ring pvp it's just exploits and 1 to 2 shot galore with no real skill behind it.
Hope the game gets a proper patch some day till then i'll continue to watch and enjoy your content.
2 shot is two too many...
Congrats on more views then the original
maybe they can fix poise by making poise determine your movement speed or attack speed?
I enjoy the cleanrot set it’s kinda a middle of the road for poise and weight and it just looks awesome
ign gives zero fucks about fun or longevity, its all about the clicks bb.
2:50 or check out jeenines guide 💀
I think the best way to balance RoB is make you lose health when using the skill like all the other blood AoW
Should we go back to DS3 sword an board spam?
IGN moment
Sometimes I wonder if I have the willpower to organize a decent build guide, but really couldnt give worse advice and info than this. Could I?
I remember when I was using the Soreseal and everything was oneshotting me. I looked at my stats and noticed that shit had me in the negatives for damage negation. I already play on hard mode (aka style over effectiveness) but that was a little too much.
When you play naked with 9 vigor, every shot is a oneshot...
ty for this video I was dying w laughter all the way through it omg soreseal at 209 the chat was killing me ! LOLS
what's the bet this guy thinks AFK Farming is a hi-IQ big-brained PvP strat 😂😂
