Dategad Fort Patan Satara | किल्ले दातेगड पाटण, टोळेवाडी, सातारा

Dategad Fort is a small fort located near Patan, Satara, in the Maharashtra state of India. The fort is located on a high tableland with escarpments on all the sides. The scarp is about 30 feet high. There is an entrance gate to enter the table land. One has to climb 20 steps to reach the top of the fort. The fort is spread over an area of 3 acres. There are 10 feet tall idols of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganapati on the fort. There is a Shivalinga carved in the literate stone near the well. The well is 100 feet deep cut in the literate rock. There are two large water tanks on the fort.
दातेगड हा भारताच्या महाराष्ट्र राज्यातील एक किल्ला आहे. पाटण जवळील दातेगड हा किल्ला प्रेक्षणीय असून देखील उपेक्षित राहिलेला आहे. चारी बाजूंनी नैसर्गिक काळ्या कातळाची तटबंदी लाभलेल्या दातेगडाचे दुर्गवैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे या गडावरील बऱ्याच वास्तू दगडातच खोदून तयार केल्या आहेत. पश्चिम तटावरील भग्न दरवाज्याशेजारी सहा फूट उंचीची गणेशाची मूर्ती असून तिचे कान जास्वंदीच्या पाकळीसारखे कोरलेले आहेत. या मूर्तीशेजारीच उजव्या हाताला दहा फूट उंचीची हनुमंताची मूर्तीही आहे. हा सर्व परिसर पाहून परत पायऱ्यांच्या मार्गाने वर गेल्यानंतर तीस मीटर खोल असलेली खडकात खोदलेली लांबट आकाराची विहीर दिसते. तिच्या पायऱ्यांनी खाली तळाकडे गेल्यानंतर पाण्याच्या थोडे अलीकडे डाव्या हातास खडकात खोदलेले महादेवाचे देऊळ लागते. या छोट्या मंदिरात शिवलिंग व नक्षीदार नंदी आहे. ही वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण विहीर हे दातेगडाचे मुख्य आकर्षण आहे. ही विहीर पाहून परत वर येऊन गडाच्या उत्तर बाजूस गेल्यावर कातळात ८-१० फूट खोदलेला चौकोन दिसतो. गडाच्या या उत्तर बाजूची तटबंदी मात्र अजूनही चांगल्या अवस्थेत आहे.

दातेगड हा सुंदर किल्ला पाटण शहराच्या जवळ ५ किलोमीटर अंतरावर आहे. पाटण - टोळेवाडी - दातेगड हा रस्ता झाल्याने किल्ल्यावर जाणे सोपे झालेले आहे. किल्ल्यावर असलेली तलवारीच्या आकाराची विहीर (Step well), किल्ल्याचा दगडात कोरुन काढलेला प्रवेशमार्ग या गोष्टी पाहण्या सारख्या आहेत. दातेगड जिंकून घेतल्यावर छ. शिवाजी महाराजांनी त्याचे नाव सुंदरगड ठेवले होते. दातेगड, गुणवंतगड आणि वसंतगड हे तिन्ही किल्ले खाजगी वहानाने एका दिवसात पाहाता येतात.
