One of the reasons i love watching people play this game is because it is so interesting to see their viewpoints on AI and robots, I am definitely excited to see what you decide to do!
I'm so excited to watch others play this. So many choices and things that can go wrong 😅 I'm almost finished now, but it's been an absolutely amazing ride so far.
I love the intro screen lady, they have made her so much like a real person, the fact you stopped completely and replied to her 😄 Honestly, when you turn off the PS and come back she genuinely talks to you like a real person in further conversations and you find yourself happily chatting back with her, it's so brilliantly done
I one time played the game til 2am and in the morning when I put the game Chloe knew the exact time I played the game til and hoped I got enough sleep.
Oh I love people who save the cop at the beginning, so many people walk past him because they don't see him. 😅👍🏻 Edit: You could go outside with Kara, but you told Todd that you had finished.
Sorry for the necrocomment, but I must address this cop situation. The truth is many people probably just assume he's dead. Besides, the prompt to look at him only appears if you turn to him at a certain angle while you are still far from Daniel. And past a certain point you cannot go back to approach him. Makes it quite hard to save that poor guy. Not so fun fact: I've seen a playthrough where a player actually saw the cop and then said "f*** him". Imagine that...
@@KrivitskyM Np my friend, and very true. The player gets nervous and just stays focused on the victim and forgets to look around. Also i have seen something similar, but the youtuber i was watching left him because Daniel ask Connor to leave him for dead.

Detroit has one of the best openings to a game in recent memory. It's extremely intense, but also establishes the world and one of the main characters very well after only a few minutes.
Accidentally found your channel with the help of recommendations and... I like it! It's very nice to see that you are intelligent and educated, that you have a point of view that is well-founded, that you can explain well how you think and why. I wish you to grow and develop, you are breathtaking) Hello from Russia!
With Kara, in her first time in Todds house, you could have gone outside and done laundry but you spoke to todd first and told him you will go upstairs and clean. It's always interesting to see the differences in the playthroughs with this game since the stuff you can do is usually so vague and it's easy to miss stuff. The last stream I watched of this, when Alice gives you the key and it zooms in on the box that you can unlock, they totally ignored the box and just went downstairs skipping it. Which I admit... can be a bit frustrating to watch lol.
One of my first thoughts when I first played this game was " this seems like Cynth's kind of game" and one of my last thoughts when I finished is "can't wait for Cynth to play this". So happy you're playing this game and glad you like it😁
They got some real heavyweights for this one with Clancy Brown and Lance Henriksen. Lance is also an artist in his own right. Can't wait to see *your* story. :)
In terms of Kara and Alice's story, it just goes to show that you never really know what happens behind closed doors. Everybody has this ideal notion in their head that everybody experiences being home the same way they do. Relax, watching tv/youtube, hanging out with people, etc. And then you realize that there are households like Alice's where growing up is incredibly scary and difficult, lonesome, and often wondering if you'll live to see the next day or not. Life's lesson, never take what you have for granted. Cherish what you have, no matter how small it is.
I absolutely love this game, so much so that it was my first ever platinum trophy. You’re in for a real treat here. I honestly think that when this game came out hurt it as far as notoriety and reputation go. It came out in 2018, alongside the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, Marvels Spider-Man and many other game of the year contenders. If it came out a year later, when there weren’t quite so many blockbusters coming out, maybe it would have got the credit it deserves sooner, but I’m really glad people are coming to it now. This game deserves all the love it gets.
Right. You describing the Uncanny Valley effect as part of human survival instinct makes it that much more creepy, just by the implications that would arise from this! 😅
quite a few levels of meta and irony. We use automated dishwashing machines irl, we play a game being an automated android washing dishes that we manually have to perform washing dishes in a video game. Soon we will have automated 'let's play' with Androids playing games for us.
Hiyas, I really enjoy the way you analyze and reason things out, having watched a number of your playthroughs. Just a FYI, when you look at the flow chart after episodes, there is an option at the bottom to view world stats. This will tell you in percentage how many other players have made the same choices as yourself. It's based on everyone else who has already played this. There are no spoilers, it just puts a number after the choices you have already made. It does not show percentages for any of the other choices or what they are. Knowing your mindset, I'm sure this will be of interest to you. Yep that's Jesse Williams from 'Grey's Anatomy'...😉. An ironic tidbit, Carl's voice actor once played an android himself. He played the android in the movie 'Aliens'. His name is Lance Henriksen , he was in many other movies including Terminator', and once starred in his own tv show called 'Millenium', a pretty cool sci-fi show similar to 'X-Files'.
And most importantly Carl is Admiral Hackett 😂 I knew he was super familiar and has done a bunch of acting work, but I couldn't place him for the longest time. I made the Hank = Mr. Krabs comparison way earlier
@@Cynthetic Your right ! I forgot about Hackett, silly me. Yep, Clancy Brown has been in tons of stuff as well, he was the nasty head guard in 'The Shawshank Redemption' too.
You’re really gonna enjoy this one. It’s fantastic, and you’re really going to come to love the characters (treat them well and they’ll treat you well!) as the story goes on.
im so glad i found this chanel, you play games like this in the PERFECT WAY you take your time, you explore, i hate people who just go from point A to point B and loose a lot of cool interactions along the way...
now that ive actually worked with acrylic and oil paints, i can agree with the usage of blue lol- the consistency of blue and green are perhaps the best consistency of paints- purple is generally to dense in my opinion and yellow is very thin, to many needed layers- red is okay too but blue is nice. Obviously we know he paints with blue because of his sadness in this story but still!!
One thing to keep in mind is that when there are optional tasks and a main task, the moment you do the main task the optional tasks will be gone. You could have gone to the backyard had you done the optional tasks first. Also, in this game a lot of times there are stealth timers where they will give you small clues that you’re being timed but you don’t actually see a timer. Fully reading the magazines out loud eats up a significant amount of time. Just a tip, if you quickly page through the magazine you’ll be able to read it again at your leisure from the menu screen

So glad to see you playing this! I only played this for the first time a few months ago and loved it. I played at the 'easier' difficulty level but still had a lot of fun with it. To get a full 100 percent you need to play several times, but one time is enough to see most of the important stuff.
