Great Video! I think SeaWorld builds launch coasters a lot due to height restrictions... that cause them to stray away from large tall lift hills.

Thanks! Yeah I do think that plays part in it

I hope seaworld orlando doesn't get a straddle coaster it doesn't need a new family launched and unless its a unique straddle like with an inversion or crazy layout I hope it is an intamin multi dimension like uncharted at portaventura

I noticed a pattern with Seaworld launch coasters. Each park may eventually have: a family launch coaster, thrill launch coaster, Sky Rocket II, and straddle coaster.
    BGW:
    Family launch (Verbolten)
    Thrill launch (Pantheon)
    Sky Rocket II (Tempesto)
    Straddle (Darkoaster)
    BGT:
    Thrill launch (Cheetah Hunt)
    Sky Rocket II (Tigris)
    SWO:
    Family launch (Ice Breaker)
    Thrill Launch (Pipeline)
    Straddle (upcoming penguin replacement)
    SWSA:
    Straddle (Wave Breaker)
    SWSD:
    Family launch (Manta)
    Sky Rocket II (Electric Eel)
    Straddle (Arctic Rescue)
The only exception is SWO with a Sky Rocket II because nearby BGT already has one, and Ice Breaker technically has the same ride system.

Great breakdown! I do agree with that, there does seem to be a pattern, thanks for the comment!

Only problem with the Intamin theory for Orlando is Hagrid’s is a short drive away.

    • @TheCoasterJosh
      @TheCoasterJosh  Год назад +4

I’d normally agree with that, but seaword doesn’t seem to care too much about precedents considering the fact that they are adding yet another launch coaster😂 but you make a great point!

@The Coaster Josh I see what you're saying about the precedents. When it comes to intamin though, it's kind of funny how Orlando has everything on lock. Large scale multi launch = velocicoaster. Small scale = hagrids. Also they can't build a swing launch because they just built icebreaker

How about Intamin hydraulic launch family coaster for 2026. 50 miles per hour in 1.5 seconds. 0 inversions. And a drop track, 90000 feet of track, 2 launches.

I remember when KD was the launch coaster capital of the world. Now it's Sea World who knew?
