SDS is #1 for me. I’ve watched all the other football podcasts and i think when stars said everyone adds character is what makes this podcast so great. The others i feel take their shows toooo serious almost like football is politics whereas you guys have great conversations, debates, hot takes, vid ideas, and fights but always manage to make jokes and smiles which i love to see personally. Love this show, love all the guys on it and can’t wait to keep watching this grow more and more!
The best description I’ve heard about Neymar is that “Neymar is a player who unfortunately got stuck between two different generations of football”. He rose to the top during a time where football was making a transition and was the first modern RUclips sensation of football, but in terms of style of play, belonged in the previous generation of players like Dinho. I think Neymar’s biggest issue was realizing the game was more changing towards a system based game instead of letting your star players cook with freedom. He looks like the type of guy who just wants to have fun on the pitch because he’s absolutely elite technically anyways. Probably had enough of all the coaches suppressing his talent. In terms of ability Neymar’s easily clear imo, but Ronaldo’s consistency and records + ability have to count for something in these type of debates.

How about the fact that Messi is a playmaker who scores more goals per match than Ronaldo who is a more out and out goal scorer. He said how Messi dictates the play. For example the Man City team now, Haaland is getting all the praise but it’s De Bruyne who is their best player this season. People who don’t watch football properly will just go on about Haaland because he’s the one on the scoresheet but it’s players like Bernardo Silva and De Bruyne who are the reason why Haaland is unstoppable.

Messi doesn’t play in the same attacking zones as Ronaldo. He drops deep to pick the ball up like a midfielder would do. He’s a playmaker who then scores a tonne of goals.
If we are just talking UCL then yes Ronaldo is better as he has won more but he still has a worse goals per game and assists per game measure.
Your point about Iniesta not getting assist like Ronaldo is a great one as it is harder to get numbers when you play not as far forward like Iniesta. Messi also doesn’t play far forward despite what his numbers say.
You are also cherry picking stats to suit your agenda but even then, they don’t hold up when we adjust the fact that Ronaldo is older and has played more games.

He is better but the gap is not extremely large like you make it out to be. No other players in the history of the sport have even come close to messi and ronaldo’s numbers. I agree with the KDB take he’s the best midfielder in prem history. Big strong quick probs the best passer in prem history so 2 footed and his shooting is amazing. He’s so complete. He’s even defensively disciplined as he tracks back a lot. No version of ozil was as complete. Ozil had 2 massive weaknesses in his game. And that’s his right foot and finishing. Both horrible. KDB is better than any version of ozil and I’m an ARSENAL FAN

Been watching SDS since the beginning, smashed it sharky and the lads.. gotta give props to starplayer, faisal, liban, ilyas etc but also cant forget suga shaun! Need to bring him back for a special episode, he was one of the OGs aswell and he did a lot for the popularity of SDS. Keep up the great work, SDS is deffo underrated but with time it will get its flowers for sure, no doubt!

Hands down the best football podcast. Best vibes, good and bad takes (which is what it's all about) and every video/podcast is a banger. Never disappoints. I didn't even come here knowing who Sharky, Starz, Faysal etc are. Came here as a new neutral and look forward every upload. I do think though Sharky, I know it's tough to probably ever have Shaun back on, but I think when the time is right, that's something you should look into. I think people can forgive him, however there's also other aspects like sponserships and relations etc. that obviously can be damaged. He can have a new role and not be there every week of course, or even expand the table on certain topics and episodes, although 4 people seems to have a more intimate effect which is perfect. Reason I say that and I don't think too many would disagree, it just felt 'right' to have Shaun, Starz and Sharky as the main trio but at the same time that takes nothing away from Fayz!
Modric didn’t drag Croatia to the finals, he was the best player but he didn’t drag them to finals. Rakitic scored the decisive penalties in the shootout. Mandzukic was also very influential so was subasic. Modric all round was good yes and was the best player in that team.

And he wasn’t even that bad at all, Mourinho had him as rotational utility player in each midfield position and played consistently hence Mourinho kept picking him even in the UCL, against Utd Modric scored the important long shot goal. Lo and behold in his second season he’s pivotal for the 10th Madrid UCL win.

Ronaldo from 05-12 can do every thing Neymar can and top of that score 50 goals a season. Neymar hasn't even scored 40 goals in a season once in European football. Ronaldo has performed at the biggest stage for 15+ years, his and Messi's longevity alone separates them two way above the others. I can guarantee Neymar at 35 would be done or would playing in MLS.

I want to start up my own RUclips channel and have something similar with my friends because of how great of a vibe you guys have. No one cares for 2nd place, 1st is what will always be some discussion no matter how clear it might be, not just in football but in everything.
The other thing is messi and ronaldo being close in age and having been there for ages, so the comparison is natural since they broke through at a similar time

@@daany8700 in terms of trophies and longevity they are comparable, that's a big factor because it's all that's needed for casuals to see a comparison. But in terms of the player quality, anyone with a small clue knows that ronaldo with all due respect just isn't anywhere near messi.
If one guy beats the other in the one thing he's so known for being great at and adds a whole list of other capabilities to it, I'd say it's a pretty damn clear case.
Pele didn't have any comparisons in the long run because nothing was as globalized yet and we didn't have social media and general media comparing everything across the globe. You wouldn't watch a match from Brazil in the afternoon and then watch a match from Spain in the evening, it wasn't that simple.
But if you ask legends of other people who witnessed the 50s-70s there will be quite a few who will say di Stefano. Pele just had no one who kept that lvl for his entire career, so the comparison never came as natural.
In short: we as humans always create conversation and discussion about who's the best wherever possible. It's natural, no one cares who's 2nd or 3rd best
