    I used this CPU to get better 1% Lows that makes my games run smoother on my RX 7600 XT.
    My main PC has a similar CPU ( 5800 X3D ) driving a 4070 TI Super and DAMN!
    The game comes alive and I end up limiting my FPS to 120 ( lots of overhead left on the GPU ) on 1440p single player high fidelity games.

      Thank you so much! :D www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/5700x3d Generally, these ones that were listed from OZBargain should be okay. If you sort by orders on AliExpress, you can see the top-ordered ones as well :). Wait for their monthly sale or Chinese New Year sale it should go down in price again. I bought mine from JS-Computer Store, but they are out of stock at the moment, haha.

      I tried ordering that same exact one for 150 on aliexpress and they put a fake tracking number. It said it arrived but never did and the package they claimed they sent was to a completely different state. Im never taking the risk again i'll pay the extra ten dollars to get it on ebay lol. I even checked to make sure they had good ratings it was from a 5 star seller so idk im just not going to waste my time with any of that nonsense again. I also did get a full refund but the hassle of having to go through refunds and wait for my money back is not worth the few dollars off the cpu for me

    The catch is that the 5700x can be overcloked at 4.9ghz so its actually a bit stronger for 95 usd. The 5700x3d is 4.1 ghz and the 3d cache is not enough to gain the 20% frequencies and no OC possible.

    • @beezito
      @beezito  14 дней назад

      Fair enough haha. Not everyone wants to oc or can on their Mobo hahaha. But I get it it's really fun to tune ur cpu on all core or try get your ram timings down as much as you can xD. Matter of fact I haven't tried new timings beside my 2 xmp profiles on the 5700x3d that could be interesting. Plug n play it's still not bad if you want the v cache :). Also there is a video of gamersnexus with a really good 5600x sample which they oc'ed with tight ram timings it's a really good video you should check it out 😁. That 5600x is a monster from memory xD. Are you running an oc 5700x atm? Thanks for the comment and Happy New Year :D

      Yes 5700x but at 4.0 ghz as i am doin passive cooling, the pc is close to my bed to watch TV so i dont need power but silence ;)
      But when i turn back fans in bios and i do OC, its +15% compared to out of box.
      My ram is cheap 3600 c18 never i did managed to lower timings. You dont need with ur 3d.

    So basically it depends on what games you play as to which CPU is better for your needs.

    • @beezito
      @beezito  15 дней назад +1

      @@joelferguson625 For sure if your playing games like league legends you might not exactly need an upgrade. Although imo it did play league really well on my 5700x3d as it's CPU bound hahaha. Games that are more CPU reliant will see a nice increase usually as well. Generally depending on your GPU the 1% lows might increase resulting in a smoother experience. I've already benchmarked around 18 games with both cpus it's just taking a while to process the data lol. But for sure you have to weigh it up and if your going to upgrade your GPU in the future it could be worth it as the 5700x3d should allow for higher end gpus to perform well. :) Happy New Year! :D -YS

      @beezito actually I'm using a Ryzen 7 5800x paired with an XFX RX 6800, 32 GB Corsair CL 16 3200 (not fancy RGB ram but the basic black heatsink ram, I forget the name but I'm sure they're not dominator ram sticks) on an ASUS ROG STRIX X50I Gaming Mobo, in a Corsair 2000D Flow ARGB case.
      The storage is a 2TB gen 3x4 nvme by Kingfast I got on sale from Newegg for less than 80$ and the power supply is a 750W Lian Li SP SFF I got in trade for basically nothing after recouping some money off other gear I got in the trade.
      All in it was less than 900$ with a bonus Ryzen 3700X I can use in a build to sell I picked up with the ASUS ROG STRIX X50I Gaming Mobo, I also bought that used off eBay for around 250 with the CPU included.
      With the launch of the PS5 pro I felt like I'd rather build a console killer.
      With a dedicated 16GB vram, dedicated 32GB system ram and a dedicated CPU that actually had the highest clock speed for AM4 I'm hoping I can finally enjoy cyberpunk 2077 in 4k 60hz base settings.

    In my opinion your results for 1% Lows don‘t make sense, in comparison with the 5600. Did you use Afterburner for benchmarking? Then switch off the hardware monitoring to avoid false results.

    • @beezito
      @beezito  15 дней назад +2

      I'm pretty sure they are correct its only a RTX 3070 so not much headroom for improvement even with the 5700X3D. The 5600 I had handled pretty much everything well in terms of gaming as far as I could tell. I can try turn off the hardware monitoring and compared on/off on my 5700X3D, but I do have HWINFO running as well at the same time when I'm benchmarking. If I got a chance with a higher GPU I'm pretty sure we could see more of a significant uplift. From what I could tell the majority of the games I benchmarked with the 5600 and rtx 3070 1% lows felt fine. My ram is DRR4-4000 and although with not as tight timings as I would like (its XMP at the moment) it did do well for my R5 5600. Thanks for the suggestion though its great to see feedback :).

    I really have to stop benchmarking at 1080p majority players are playing at 1440p and up which almost any CPU nowadays if you're playing 1440p or 4k basically going to be the same not much of an upgrade I don't know why anybody would be playing at 1080p nowadays anyway it makes zero sense with the price of monitors no point in doing useless upgrades

    • @beezito
      @beezito  15 дней назад +1

      Hahaha I know plenty of people still on 1080p xD. Still really relevant and can sometimes show patterns that we wouldn't see at higher resolutions :). But I get it 1440p has come down a lot in price. In my own experience a lot of people seldom upgrade their monitor xD. Also like you mentioned a lot of the time at higher resolutions you will be GPU limited in any case. Thanks for the comment and Happy New Year:D -YS
