Mike I never would have thought, in winter cold, the crappie would be that shallow on water, boy I have gotta lot to learn about winter crappie. Thanks for opening up a new world to me.😊
Another great video Mike. I’m on grand lake Oklahoma now and going to give rigging a try here. Sure did use to catch a lot of fish rigging Truman before live scope was around
I really enjoy your vids mike cause u just don't LS fish.... u spider rig.... u pull crankbaits.. one pole.... man don't get me wrong LS is awesome i have one but I still love all the old school ways of cathing them not many doing it anymore or doing vids doing it anyway I'll always use the old school ways to cat h them as well ... great vid man 👍
I paint some small rattle traps i use while crappie fishing. Ive got some that dont have rattles that kill this time of year. That gumdrop is what Bobby Garland calls it. I pour and call them gumdrop thats my favorite color 99% of the time. Ponds and lakes here in Oklahoma it kills
Another nice video Mike .. been watching for years .. What part of The Lake of the Ozarks is your favorite .. and do you ever get together with any of your viewers to fish ..
I like all of Lake of the Ozarks. I fish it from dam to dam. I have very limited time due to the fact that I have a full time job, so fishing with fans is very difficult for me. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Mike for the response .. I completely understand, my wife and I were visiting the area from Wisconsin and were planning on doing some fishing anyway but just didn’t know where to start, sounds like just about anywhere can be good .. Keep up the great videos and inspiring us to come back .. Who knows maybe someday we’ll have a chance to meet on the lake ..😁
Someone needs to make these and sell them as a storage option. It’s a great idea! As a 64 year old retiree, a new basscat is not a possibility. Thanks for the videos! I’ve learned a lot about spider rigging from watching them.
Great video Mike! Quick question about your boat. When you are running in the winter and pull it out of the water, do you have any specific procedures to clear the water out of the engine. Just curious how you get the water out to keep the engine from freezing up. Thanks
Thank you. I recently purchased an 8612xsv and an LVS34 for my boat. I am looking forward to getting it installed. Is the upper screen on your boat the 8612?
Hi Mike, what battery setup are you using for livescope and other graphs? Do you have the livescope on a separate battery or are you using the cranking battery?
I run my livescope and three Humminbird 12” Solix on my Pro Guide agm cranking battery with no problem. But, I run the Power Pole Charge battery charging system which is awesome.
Best videos made. Great job catching them. Do you use that hog jam at all anymore? I’ve been looking for it and I can’t find it. I’d like to try some do you know where I can order it?
Excellent video.

Great video Mike
Awesome catching video! Thanks. Looking forward to your next one.
thats awesome!
Excellent video mr baker!
Nice vid Mike . Thx
Looking good, Bake.
Thanks Bob!
Great video Mike!
Great video mike. I’d rather fish on those cold days. Lake is less crowded and the fish bite better. Had some of my best outings on those days.

Good show

Nice batch of crappie. Your out fishing in 33 degrees and I didn’t go today because it was only in the low 50’s. I need an attitude adjustment.

Great video Mike! Are you using the original livescope or the livescope plus?
Original 32
I came to ask the same question.

Really enjoyed this video. In your opinion, what curly tail plastics have good action for this or drifting across a pile on Livescope?

Nice fish. What’s with the float thing hanging off the rod holders ?
A wrench.
Mike, do you like Garmin Livescope the best?
Only forward facing sonar I have used so I have nothing to compare it to.
Hi Mike what rod holder setup are you using to spider rig? Thanks for sharing your knowledge?skills.
Perotti’s. I don’t think they make them any more. Try Tite Loc singles.
Mike, I don't think you forgot how to push! hey it looked like you run big hooks, is there a reason for it and do u remember what size they are?
#2 usually.
Where did you get the storage system that under the deck lid holds your plastic totes?
Came with the boat. Get a BassCat!
Someone needs to make these and sell them as a storage option. It’s a great idea!

Thanks for the videos! I’ve learned a lot about spider rigging from watching them.
What kind of rod holders do you use up front sir?
Perotti’s , but I don’t think they make them anymore.

Thanks
I keep it in a heated garage.
Awsome fishing Mike! What arm were you fishing?
Gravois
Really like your videos. What do you have your minner net stuck into to hold it up in the cooler?
A picture hanger. I have been meaning to do a Baker Bit on it.
You’re not just a pretty face lol
What type of minnow bucket or cooler are you using? looks like it had a air bubbler on it.
Engel
36 degrees?!?
What type of Garmin chart plotters do you have running? Is one of them an 8610xsv?
8612

@@tomdavis2631 yes.
@@MikeBakerVideos thank you!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Where do you get your minnows at LOZ?
I didn't. I got them at Puddle Jumpers on Truman.
How bout that same situation but just throw a couple bobbers out ?
where’s the fun in that?
Best videos made. Great job catching them. Do you use that hog jam at all anymore? I’ve been looking for it and I can’t find it. I’d like to try some do you know where I can order it?
Yes I do. You can find it at Fitz Fishing tackle store in Osage Beach, Mo. or at this site:
captdave@crappiehourfishing.com
Why not just fish with just minnows? What’s the jig and tipping it with a minnow do ?
Sometimes the fish hit a jig and minnow better than just a minnow. Just like in this video.
We’re did u get those clothes , bibs , coat
Ice Armor floating bibs and jacket.
Need to out law these, greed is killing fisheries
Mike, do you have a Facebook page, would love to message you a couple of questions. Thanks Jimmy Williams; Hugo , Oklahoma...
