Never heard him make one excuse, not with us not with Swansea. Can’t love him any more. 24th to 4th then playoff champs, What a man.

"it won't define us" , I really liked the way he put that point across. No self pity, just an honest assessment. Wish more managers were like that.
Can't ask for a more honest interview, Man City are just on another level
The premier league is a farmers league really. Haaland and Man City are exposing it again unfortunately.
Palace did the double on them last season. Team's go there already beat that's the problem.
Not a double ... Palace only beat City once last season and it was a draw in yhe second game at Selhurst Park
@@stephenwilson9480 Man City are on another level from every team in the league. They’re not invincible cause they can lose to teams like palace but their consistency is next level and the reason why they’re gonna win 5 leagues out of 6.

Nottingham are here because of this man. They need a time to adjust with a totally new squad.
They should get defenders how will they defend on epl strikers with Joe Worrall a championship level defender.
I know. It’s hard to integrate 57 new players into your first team smoothly.

Class manager

City fan here, fair play and much respect to Nottingham Forest and especially the manager. That interview was class - no excuses, no bs, no whining. There are some other PL managers that should take note of how Steve Cooper conducted himself and try to do the same.

Every team does, Haaland is special
Forest are not very tight at the back so they are open to a whooping. I wouldn't say this will be their biggest defeat of the season but I hope they can stay up anyway. An easy game for a team like City - perfect victims.
Top class fair play fair play this is PURE class
I love how he showed Man City the respect they deserve while keeping his own squad's mentality in check. It's going to one in a handful of games they will have to worry about.
And they lost to Bournemouth lol
My gaffer. King of Kings. We go again 👊
Credit for him, as an Orc making it all the way from Mordor in Lord of the Rings to Premier League manager, incredible!
That's a bit harsh, mate. 😂😂
Seems like a great coach but my god those grasshopper eyes 😂😂
He's a funny looking dude, no big deal. Good at his job though, and I'll bet he's had more gash than all of us put together
@Ima about tobe koed Buckley face 🤣🤣🤣🤣
steve knows this entire seasons gonna be survival one
sure does but there are teams to beat, haaland is class
We love the guy to bits. Just hope Mr Marinakas doesn't get impatient! Let's face it, City will turn over another 3 or 4 teams with similar scorelines before the season ends. At the start of the season, I reckon most Forest fans looking at August's fixtures would have settled for 4 points. It's September that will define us. 3 games against teams that are likely to be around us in the league come the end. If we get sod all from those, then we're in trouble. On the plus side, without Haaland it was only 3-0! And we didn't set a new PL record! But yeah, it was brutal. Hope Steve settles on his best 11 before long.
gone by Christmas if they don't win against the likes of Bournemouth etc
Amen to this, can't think there's anyone we'd be likely to get in who would give us a better chance of staying up this season than Steve Cooper, which you'd have to hope Mr Marinakis also feels with that level of backing.
Was a stat last night that on average City stick at least 5 goals past someone every 7 PL games under Guardiola so, particularly at this stage of building a new team, there really is no shame in the result. Win at the weekend and it's forgotten about and we're back to looking upwards!
Klopp should learn from this man, the excuse book didn’t come out he just said it how it was
Great coach, As a Bess Fan we have come up against him a few times and he always put out a difficult side to play against. He will do well for Forest in the Prem. I think they will survive.
Most articulate coach I've heard even after a tough loss!
Looks like a great bloke. Did very well guiding Forest to PL after what I understand was a tough start last season before he arrived
Haaland is gonna destroy the league so it’s comforting knowing it won’t be just us suffering from these defeats. Oh well next game 🔜
Lingard immense again 😂😂
Haaland is a huge quality player

@@ryanneve8734 Wow.!!... What an original comment too a newly promoted Club ...
He knows that against the “top 6” they’re not gonna get much, but they can scrap and get points from the lower placed clubs. Forrest are gonna play their hearts out when they need to, but last night was a real humbling by the probable league winners
I'm a Newcastle supporter I do hope Forrest stay up 👍Great bloke.
Top manager & interview
Respect to forest and their fans proper heart and spirit.
From a man city fan here, forest were higher class than the other team where others would go defending a whole squad inside the box, forest showed some resilients to try scores goals until the end, much2 respect to the managers and forest players💪💪

Quote sounds funny, but it’s 100% true I can imagine some managers wouldn’t say them exact words but city are on a different level

An excellent manager.
Forest have signed some good, talented players and spent a lot of money in the process, not sure how many, if any off them have experience or a desire to fight their way out of a relegation scrap, the pressure of avoiding the drop is totally different to the pressure of finishing in the top 6 or fighting for promotion, losing, and losing heavily may hit them hard.
Your talking absolute rubbish we are 5 games into a season if we had played 20 games I might of given your thought more credit
@@robertsimkin3949 Please point out the absolute rubbish, when were Gibbs White, Lingard and half a dozen other new signings were involved in a relegation battle?
Of the first five games, four are top 7 quality. Manchester City will win everything this season. Forest season truly begins on Saturday and we can see some beautiful football that Forest are capable of.
I don't understand why the terrible teams just don't forfeit and accept the 3-0 loss. Think about it, players will save energy and have more energy for the teams they will stand a chance against and their goal difference will be a little better 😂
Lol no one has been brave enough to write this out , lol
Does it not help to identify defensive mistakes on which they could improve upon?
Even as a Man United fan i'll be happy whe the fixture at City as out the way.
Forest struggled to keep the ball they couldn't find players to pass to. Man City got the ball and their players instantly moved into space to receive the ball then on receiving the ball other players would move into space to receive the ball ...Keeping possession well up to the goal area. Forest must be less static. They looked much more dynamic though towards the end but poor passing availability was a big problem to retain possession.
Johnson came off a good decision, he just isn't good enough for the Premiership, again lacks precence, lacks power, vision and still lazy hes just not up for it strength wise also.
Cooper will have to wield the axe. He is a good honest manager and will improve where necessary in a relative new team.
Forest I'm sure will fo well but we have to get real to stay up.
His comments were spot on !
Johnson's not good enough for the premiership? Hahahahahahahaha.

Just have to appreciate what it is. City are an elite team. Their passing accuracy is ridiculous. Another level to Forest atm
Forrest struggle was obvious in their match against Newcastle. There is improvement though. Wide areas are much more secure.

Gotta hand it to Forest, they were really in the game until the first goal.

Next England manager Graham "Harry" Potter
He will hear from the board
Forest did well last season when they met Liverpool, Arsenal and Leicester in the cup. But I think a big factor there was James Garner as a defensive central midfielder. Joining Everton today.
Garner is decent but Hel not help Everton much
@@trickleteeth3425 At Forest he had a stable team with a supportive manager. Everton is a mess. I think he is desperate to play somewhere and Everton came in.
Should have let his players do keepy ups
Should have played his initail lineup. Why was freuler as CAM and not jlingz
Freuler was the deepest midfielder, they had O'Brien and Yates to press and try to win the ball then 2 forwards, they can't play 3 attackers vs City
Looks like the loves the ganja cooper always looks proper chonged. Seems like a good bloke like hope nforrest do well this season
Will be very interesting if Forrest go down. All the honesty in the world at the mo, seems like a straight up bloke. But after the investment in the team they desperately need to stay up.
