I've known these guys since the beginning in 1978, and 3 of them since 1975 with the Rhapsodizers. It doesn't get any better than this. Camile's slide work really shines on these two songs, and that's we call him "Da Shredder". One of the best bands many people have never heard of, because like Dave said, they're not into the "rock star" thing...
I’ve seen these guys literally hundreds of times. The first was the old Union bar in Minneapolis in 1984. I’ve seen them perform from coast to coast over many years. It’s always a blast.
Holy crap I thought I'd never hear this song again. Recorded onto audio tape from MTV 86ish Mardi Gras live. This song has haunted me for ages like a heartbroken memory. This has made me feel 15 again!
Saw the Rads in like 82 83 at Chestnut in Phili, I was tired of the B.S.at Grateful Dead shows in Large Arenas. These guys were so good I gave Jerry a Tape. He loved em.
Met this band in Florida many years ago. They kick ass. Great group of guys n Gal. They opened for Buckcherry and The Radiators was the best. Thank you Ed Hanke !!!
Ah the Rads at the HOB. I live down here in New Orleans after coming from the northeast. Saw so many great shows up there and down here. While the HOB shows were great, there is still nothing like seeing them at MOM's or Snafu. Those were the days, miss them. But the shows and the memories live on. Thanx for posting this.
I use to go to Tulane and saw the Radiators a lot. They usually would start playing at 11:11pm every time they played. I saw their 8th anniversary show at Tipatina's and they played 3 sets until 7am, it was nuts. Supposedly they would extend how long they played every Anniversary show each year.
"Drinking in a two-bit room will surely be my doom,. but doom don't mean a thing to me. Just give me a fight, a foot of lead pipe, and a ticket to New York." Pure poetry....
Seen them in New Orleans but i most remember that night in Hilo. Flew in from Alaska. I think i bought the first tickets sold bc I didn't want to miss this! 😂🤙
I met pop's at mandes at the foot of north shore Pontchartrain drummers dad in 87 when I drove the Abita beer truck one ton ford he drove too all the pilings under the south bound lanes he brought
Bizzare I've never heard of this great sounding blues rock band before today !!! ( Not to be confused with the '7O/'80s Aussie pub rock band of the same name) but we live in a big world!
Saw them in 88. Minneapolis. Experience of a lifetime. I was a chef at the Hyatt. 1300 Nicolette mall.

First band I saw when I moved to NOLA in 1988, at Tip's of course! Love them and have seen them dozens of times since. It has been a long road.....

Nothing like Tip's uptown
@@thomasmarold2897 Or closing out Jazzfest on wonderful Sunday afternoon in May .
The Hyatt in Minneapolis for Halloween!
I used to do security for these guys when they stopped in Minnesota.
Camille's slide work is extraordinary. The band during this period is at a performance peak. Great set!!!
Camille taught my brother how to play guitar
@@johnharvey1356 I think he influenced or taught every aspiring slide guitarist in the greater New Orleans area over the last 30 years.
Saw them in the late 80s and 90s 30+ times they would let anyone patch in on there Sound board taped them every time saw them 🙏✨️🇺🇸
never in the history of rock n roll has the guitar been shredded so completely by someone in khaki's...awesome
That guy's bad-ass :)
I am a hardcore Metalhead, but there's always room for The Radiators!! LAW OF THE FISH RULES!!!

Saw them in Minneapolis in 1989 and they're still playing in my head. Great live band!
ah, weekends runs at The Caboose and private parties by Krew of DADS, those were days for sure.
Great versions of my 2 fave songs by them!
I mixed these guys once in NYC, way back in the 90's. Super nice group of musicians.
Those Krewe parties in the 90s were insane

I was there. Pre-Katrina New Orleans. In September. Great show!

Aw! This was how I remember the guys... this was the year I first saw them live!
A couple of Radiators classics.
Seen them two different times in the 90s at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest...Drove down both times from northern NJ...Great times.
Da funky Rads!
The "Ti Jean" in "Doctor, Doctor" is a reference to Jack Kerouac.
Some of Kerouac's friends fondly called him Ti Jean. "Little Jack."
I saw them in 1996 at HOB in New Orleams during Mardi Gras. I barely remember it, but they were awesome.
Thanks for posting this. We used to see the Rads whenever we could. What a great band. Nice to see them in the flush of youth!
Bob Duffy My pleasure. Only glad to see the clip brings back good memories. Thanks for posting a note of appreciation :)
So good!
Never gets old !!!
Mackeys farm shows were legendary!!!!
that was the first year I saw the rads fish head for life
One of my all time fav live bands, and Los Blancos got to open for them on the last tour. Total bucket list stuff, I miss them big time!
Ahhh the Memories. Miss seeing them at Luigi's. Miss Luigi's too.

camille on the slide shredding fooooz.
Man I just can't get into them. Been trying since 92 🤷♂️
I dig a lot of it, but it’s the piano that kills it for me. I’ve never been a big fan of piano based music.
I would luv 2 just slow the tempo a teenny weenie bit Excellent!!
The name of the second song is LIKE DREAMERS DO. I missed this one yesterday
The cigarette never will forget…
