I think the most amazing thing in this video is how the background actors remained in character for the entire jam session. I don’t think I would have been able to contain myself with all that funk and dopeness from this performance.
Bob Sapp on trumpet ya'll!! Never heard a trumpet player trill that bish like that!!!! FIRE!!! :D haha Lawrence is my new favorite band! Top singers/entertainers I've ever heard/seen in the world! :D I hope they are around another 30years so I can show my grand kids this type of amazing music!!!
OMG that’s hilarious! I was listening to No Doubt’s self titled album and it reminded me of this! Naturally I came to this video for the thousandth time to jam the hell out.
Props to the extras for showing enough self-control to act like they're just sippin coffee at the counter instead of following their natural instinct & going absolutely ape sh*t with this groove.
- Dad why is my sister's name Rose? - Because your mom likes roses - What about me? - Enough with questions, Sean Paul - Get Busy (Lawrence Live Cover, feat Rashawn Ross)
@@genisalee3520 this band so genius I still can’t spot those horns even after you time stamped it. That cover of Superstitious Lawrence did with Anton is so dope tho
Okay so I found this by randomly trying to find an "acoustic" version of this song (to laugh at, mostly) but DAMN! This is so good. The girl's energy! GO, GO!
This performance is LIFE for me!!!! Before I even talk about Gracie COMPLETELY losing her mind!!!!, embodying EVERY word & beat of this.... The band...the BAND!!!! OMG!!!!! Ross you better BLOW!!!! WHAT???!!! What gospel sangin (no typo), blues sangin, jazz sangin parents did these Lawrence's come from??? My God!!!! WHEW!!!! This performance is EXHAUSTING!!!, it's THAT good!!! Btw props to the folks serving/eating like the LOUD ass performance of a lifetime wasn't going on RIGHT NEXT TO THEM. Sis did break character at 4:38 when Gracie went full throttle.🤣🤣🤣 But who could blame her??!!
At the moment, I'm finishing a graduate degree at university. My colleagues and professors alike whole heartedly agree that this video is indeed ripe and plentiful with the funk.
oh my god, it's march 1st today and I've only started to get into this cover (SO MUCH) again a few days ago. i cannot believe its been 4 years!! time flies. you guys are bosses.
This is really one of your best performances/youtube videos! You should go further in that direction. I think Gracie truly shines when she sings like that! In other songs she sometimes sounds somehow "suppressed".
So So Good. Every time I watch these guys it makes my whole day. This is what pure TALENT looks like. Everybody in the music industry could learn so much from this band.
Girl's got some pipes, even when she's belting it and bouncing around she nails those notes, not easy to do! Nice vocal range. HUGE props to the band, tight AF guys.
Ummm don't take this the wrong way but are we actually hearing her live performance? If not it doesn't matter, I've still watched the video like a thousand times, and props for making it as good as it can possibly be by whatever means, but I can't help thinking there's been some, uh, improvements...
This performance is not live, as far as I can tell based on the acoustics and lack of background noise. Saw them live last Friday at Webster Hall. This song absolutely slaps live. Gracie belting high notes all night long on seemingly every song like no big deal. Their talent and energy and style is best heard live. They’re the real deal
Still waiting for the release
👇 This is how many ppl wants it..
It is on Spotify now
Over here six years later saying this one was a bit of a game changing musical experience for me last night in London. Can't/won't get over it.
This is absolutely incredible, literally floored by how original this is!
Did you seriously fix your fingers to type original in reference to this?
I just adore how FREE she is when she performs. The arrangement was dope!
Hard to think of a mroe charismatic singer working today. The whole stage presence is fantastic but Gracie's on another level
I think the most amazing thing in this video is how the background actors remained in character for the entire jam session. I don’t think I would have been able to contain myself with all that funk and dopeness from this performance.
I feel like being forced to sit there like nothing is happening when this level of hot music is being produced qualifies as some sort of crime.
Its official, the funk levels are over 9000. What a band, what a feature.
Saw this performed last night at their seattle concert and my life will never be the same
Sean Paul would really be so honored!! This is hottt🎉
is this level of funk allowed out of the last millenium?!
Love the brass section going big while Gracie blasts all that out. Amazing cover, i would buy that single.
Bruh who gave these guys permission to be this funky. Damn

best cover in history of covers hands down
This is quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever heard in my life
How am I still finding more stuff from this group to go nuts over. HOW.
The band could pass for being from NOLA and being someone who grew up in New Orleans that's a big compliment
This bad ass band has filled a void in my musical life.
I love the "meh" customers. And the outstanding performance.
I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR GRACIE TO GO OFF LIKE THAT WITH THIS. HOLY HELL. BUT THIS COVER IS HELLA DOPE.
Thanks to this comment I was prepared 😂❤️

Happy tears are good! Glad you enjoyed!
My old ass no doubt obsessed heart literally melted. This is a whole vibe!!!!!
This reminds me of early No Doubt albums! Soo freaking good!

The closer I listen the horns sound like they're playing the background section from Stevie Wonder's "Superstition". Love it.
They def are

Absolutely killed it. That breakdown was insanely tight.
This was so floompy and schloompy. I love it.
Heard this last night at the Indy concert!!! Loved it!!!! Go craaaaaaaaazy Gracie! Sing!
Well this is just about the best thing on the internet.
Okay so I found this by randomly trying to find an "acoustic" version of this song (to laugh at, mostly) but DAMN! This is so good. The girl's energy! GO, GO!
dude me too!! I'm in love lol
Same lmao
This is literally the best thing I have ever seen
I've just found this video and the question "how many times have you watched this?".....yes.....that's all I need to say this is PERFECTION!
Rashawn Ross is an absolute boss! Always cool seeing someone jam as hard as Lawrence.
Can't get enough of this video. 2 years later, and I'm still coming back to it. The energy is everything!
OMG! You guys are unreal! And Gracie....strewth girl! How can so much energy and power come out of someone so tiny? Dynomite! Everytime! 😎🎸👍
And no audience reaction. Well, I was applauding 2 years later. Glad I found you Very fun band
Lawrence, YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY DOMINATING MY PLAYLIST. Since today. Owned. Period.

Me: *laughing, almost crying* "Its just so good!"
DCPhoto I’m definitely crying
Me rocking and shouting: this is soooo goooood
Speechless… this band makes me so happy!
That unanimous jump at 4:10 is still so, so enjoyable
Gracie an absolute force of nature, she calls forth from another dimension. And that guitar player. The 💣
I have never once been let down by Lawrence...Incredible performance...
This is one of the best thing I have ever heard
This is like the most incredible ska I've ever seen
What the fuck this is so good. I've listened to it like 20 times already, where can I make sure you get the most money possible?
The nod to "Superstition" in the last 30 secs is amazing
The best cover of this song ever! I hope to see you guys in Pittsburgh.
What an absolute maelstrom of funk!
Thank y'all for such great vibes. My jaws hurt from smiling so much after watching the videos 😅
the whole band killed it....but dang Gracie you were overkill ♥
shes a power house and he has an amazing voice.. great combo.. Trumpet killing it.
This hit so hard at Webster! Thanks for an unforgettable show! Love you guys

A saw you play last night and you played this. One of your best songs. Great cover.
They're funky as hell!!Vocals on top
HI! Just a reminder....this is perfect. Thank you. :)
You know that metal thing Iron man used to stop Hulk in the Avengers movie? Well I don't think it could contain Gracie effectively.
Pretty sure Gracie is an Infinity Stone... its the only explanation for that kind of raw energy.
Pure energy. Holy shit.
Def not.
It's strange seeing cut shots to some lame ass dude stuffing fries directly into his throat while she's doing that.
@@Wiley_Coyote congrats uve understood the joke of the video
Wish I could like this SO MANY TIMES!
This is dope. Rashawn shared this on Instagram, and as a DMB fan, I had to check it out. Glad I did.
Rebecca Russo his solo is 🔥
Hot dang. This is fire. I would drop what I was eating fast. Oh man this is diggin.

I love how the room i s quiet at the end of that! hahah! Fantastic!! : )
Crazy groove! Vocals is right in the pocket. FEELS SO GOOD!

EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM DID NOT PASS THE VIBE CHECK. THIS IS SO GOOD.
This band is incredible.......and Gracie is a superstar!
Amazing! Also, loved the Superstition quote at 4:32!
oh my god, it's march 1st today and I've only started to get into this cover (SO MUCH) again a few days ago. i cannot believe its been 4 years!! time flies. you guys are bosses.

When the funk truly drops at 1:28... Oh my gosh. This whole track is just monster groove, but that section is just mesmerising.

Please play at Bragg Jam in Macon, GA soon!! Last funk group played at the Grant's Lounge and might I say best venue and great energy!!
This cover reminds me of "The Dan Band" from Old School, except 100x the talent & funk. Love it!
Coming from April 2020 and I need this on Spotify! Just discovered you last week with "It's Not All About You" Quickly becoming my favorite band!
