Also, pro tip... Leave the skins on the carrots and just wash them! More nutritious and less effort 😅 This comes from experience making many many many a pot of carrot ginger soup. If you like curry, try it curry spiced!
On the 14th of October, we Indians have Mahalaya Amavasya. On this day we honour our departed ancestors for what they have done for us by watering plants and feeding birds/animals (serving nature) and we thank our ancestors and revere them. Your card reading was literally around the time giving you the same message regarding getting to know more about your ancestors.

I’m from India and we follow festivals according to lunar calendar. Can we please also discuss this lunar calendar in tune with female body more closely? I’ve been reading a lot about it as well and this definitely spiked my interest 2 years ago! 🫶🏽🫶🏽
It was really cool to see you learn about the lunar calendar, as a Muslim we follow it, and basically each year it shifts up by 10 days. (if our holy month of Ramadan starts April 12th one year, it starts April 2nd the next year), so in a way I knew about it, but I'm curious how they used it to follow seasons with all the shifts. The number 13 also speaks to me, I like it. And yes you being born Feb 28th feels connected somehow :)

My mother's side of the family hails from Scotland and the roots go deep. She has collected her family clan colors and has them framed right when we walk in the doorway. I love learning about my ancestors and their Celtic culture and I hope to go there someday to learn even more! I would definitely suggest learning about your ancestry. Some of it is saddening, other parts intriguing, and the rest a rabbit hole of information and knowledge, and we can learn so much from them spiritually and historically.
I got so hooked by the idea of a lunar calendar. How cool to start each month with a new moon eg. But 3 full moons each season only adds up to 12 so I got a bit confused there. I guess there is some sense in using our actual months system... question to everyone: do you start your week on monday or sunday?

The arabic calendar, as per my knowledge lives/follows the moon calendar that’s why they celebrate the new year always differently each year - same for chinese if I’m not mistaken. I follow both arabic and western calendar and I have a lunar calendar at home with seeding/harvesting season, haircut times, cleaning times and when to water plants. It’s the best!

I made chili,beef stew, tomorrow making a pot of lasagna soup and a pot of white bean soup. I freeze everything into portions and it's my lunch for the next 8weeks
I think the waxing is you coming to peace with either the last season and all sides for you are coming out into fruition. You are stepping into a warming environment as a mother, significant other and your creation. You are welcoming the new season, the new version of you.

I recommend a book called Anam Cara by John O' Donoghue...'anam cara' means friend of the soul' it's a reflection on the celtic spirituality of the land etc a beautiful reflective read. gorgeous to pick up and put down. i leave it on my bedside table to read a short chapter after I put my almost 3 month old baby Grace to sleep! long time fan of your content!! ☘☘☘
I did try cooking the same soup today. Yummy 😋 but I've also added some red Bell Pepper, just because I've had some in my fridge)

heyy!! loving the fall content 🤎 the hindu religion also follows a lunar calendar. my grandparents made me learn the lunar months’ names and there are even names for days in the months which are called thithi based on the moon phase. also, my grandparents encourage us to celebrate our birthdays according to the lunar calendar. and and our horoscope chart is drawn with respect to the lunar calendar too. like my zodiac with respect to the normal calendar is virgo. but i am a pieces with respect to the lunar calendar. ❤️

I have found fun fact about that you are 28th February and I'm 29th February, so you are one day older.
And I need to try your soup recipe
The moon doesn't have 12 cycles, it has 13. That's why they said that the moon doesn't line up with the sun. They missed the 13th cycle. It does line up with the sun cycle if you count all 13 cycles. 13 cycles of about 28 days each does equal 364/365 days total.
