Leona Davis, LVN -- Maxim Healthcare's 2016 Caregiver of the Year

Leona Davis, LVN, from Torrance, CA, is the 2016 Central Region Caregiver of the Year.
She and her patient, DJ, have been in a partnership for eight years. DJ’s doctors continuously praise her results and point out that under Leona’s care, DJ has lost zero range of motion - a rarity for most patients with his condition. But perhaps the greatest endorsement of all comes from DJ’s mother who says that Leona “has left an everlasting mark on their family.”
Even more remarkable is that Leona accomplished all of this while facing a significant medical challenge of her own: breast cancer. Her story encourages us all.
