- Once we figured out exactly what we had, it pushed our R&D programs ahead by decades.
Decades.
Only later did we wonder if it had been left there deliberately, for us to find.

The kind of stuff we'll be seeing at dystopian underground rave parties
👍👍
true.
I mean, this is really old technology.
Yea but with hologram technology
Post apocalyptic maybe. Dystopian? Well one man's dystopia is another man's... United States of America.
I think you've struck a perfect balance between awesome visuals and awesome audio. Really great track. I also love how the kick of the drum goes up-right but the snare goes up-left
Yea, kick drum : +Horiz & +Vert and snare -Horiz & +Vert :-)
That's exactly my opinion. While Jerobeams tracks are visually awesome, the music aspect in Chris' tracks is on another level! Really good! :)
The one problem is thar on phones with mono speakers you are completely unable to hear the snare or hihat...
what a very rare artifact
this song is awesome
I'm still amazed how sound can create something so stunning on an oscilloscope
😉👋😉
He's probably using a lot of unhearable sounds to change the shape, but It's still really cool
nah, it's all audible.
@@heimskr2881 A lot of people think that when they first hear this stuff, but the low frequency stuff that you CAN hear has a large effect on the way it looks. if you were trying to draw an image with inaudible audio, you probably couldn't have any audible frequencies if you wanted it to show anything. What I'm trying to say is that it would be really hard to fake it that way because the lower frequency stuff that you hear has a huge effect on the image.
I have run his audio files through my scope as well, so I can confirm it's legit and not just sound made separate from the image. you can do the same in software. you can download oscilloscope apps on windows and play these files yourself.
If you wanted more definitive proof, you could run the file through a filter that cuts off inaudible frequencies and I doubt it would change much. I'm a bit too lazy for that though lol.
@@heimskr2881 Surprisingly not, you can download files for some osciliscope songs - and it works
Edit: yep if you have an osciliscope lying around, give it a download
Sooooo much improvement its like a intirely different person, I love it
wait, this isnt different person?
1980: We are going to get flying cars in the 2000s
2000s: *Art made out of music take it or leave it*
Gee, what kind of stereo imager is this?
Oh wait,
It IS a stereo image...
This sounds like an unused Portal 2 track that was left in the files of the game, and someone discovered it years later
secret glados boss fight
you can only unlock it by beating the game in a sub 40
Man totally cool. I am a physics teacher and showed this to my students. The funny thing is, that if you connect the 3,5mm Audio Port to an oscilloscope in X-y-Mode you can replicalte the video via the music. Its great. Blew my mind. Theirs too.
glad to hear that! keep 'em curious!
I'm sure they liked it.
I bet all the kids think you're way cooler than the other physics teachers now.

First I thought Shrooms was the best oscilloscope music could get.
Then I heard Globetrotter.
And then once more, Factory Floor blew my mind.
Now I’ve heard this and I don’t know how good it can get anymore because this is so amazing! It just keeps getting better and better, love it.
It astounds me how you can make music sound this good and still have cool asf visuals.
same
he’s really good at it
They made custom software to use 3d models and render them to a pair of waveforms
The visuals are basically a waveform shape, different in each ear. The pitch only changes how often and fast it is played.
No matter how fast you draw the same visual, it will look pretty much the same. He does add other sounds after composing with the program that makes the pretty waveforms, which distorts them to varying degrees based on what sounds and how loud they are relative to the special ones.
Cool music. Keep up the good work !!!
Hands down your absolute best piece, visually and audio-ly.
Glad you like it!
ERR: MUSIC RATING OUT OF SCALE (EXPECTED 1..10, GOT 11)
This sounds like a Python traceback error on drugs.
That "synth voice" is so damn good. Especially at the start!
A complicated and intricate piece of visual noise turned art
I love how you distort the images just to get more beats out of the music. love it.
Nice
Every song of yours teleports me in a different realm away from my problems
1:09 This is the part of the video when I immediately liked the video. My god.
It’s amazing what a couple of lines and a pair of ears can do nowerdays
This is the type of shit that people'll study in the future, trying to decipher what it means. Truly an amazing piece of art!
This is so good to listen to.
Oh my gosh, it just keeps on getting better and better!! This is great! :D
beautiful
Excellent work
Really loving this one! Wel done 😋
Seriously love this, TRON vibes
I LOVE YOUR MUSIC SOOO MUCH.
Freaking great, it sounds and looks great at the same time, great is an underestimation, ITS AWESOME
Thanks, glad you're digging it!
Das ist so coooool unglaublich das sowas geht
Magnifique!
Comme toujours^^
One of the best things about this to me is trying to figure out if these tell a story.
These type of video aren't really appreciated for what they are, the time, the coding, the artistry that went into it♥️.
thanks for the support!
No problem, THANK YOU for sacrificing your time❤️
0 Dislikes, just as it should be!
Edit: Not anymore :(
Oh boi, don't tell anyone...
Who would not like C.Allen?
They probably just disliked it cuz they say this and wanted to be a mad lad
This is a work musical art
Definitely my fav song of yours
thanks for the recognition
ayy new Chris Allen music
today is a good day
I can't wait to get a laser projector and throw this on a wall. Masterfully done sir.
The things you make with sounds are really cool
1:02 to 1:08 is the best part, should be it’s own song
wow good drawing, what you do no one else does. incredible !!!
And I like your style. Good luck and keep it up.
I like it.
reminds me of Freezepop - Super Sprode very much, and that's a good thing!

I expected this to be good stuff before I clicked it, but this is just exceptional. Great track, will watch it again and again.
It's things like this that make me feel lucky to have found this genre. I can't wait to see what the future of oscilloscope music has to offer and how the techniques can get even further refined and beautiful.Your art is amazing please keep up this truly inspiring work!
Oh how I’ve missed these
Lovin' it
amazing as ever
Amazing work!
this is another art form.
welcome to the Revolution of art and music my dude
This is fucking wild. All of your music is wild. I love your music.
This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while... Reminds me of the holophonor from Futurama. Well done.
Thanks for watching!
yesss new song on weed day
Epic music my guy 🔥
Really nice work!
keep up the good work.
I don't really have a lot more that I couldn't say with each new piece, except this time I could distinctly hear a few telltale sound affects I wouldn't expect along the way. Lot of fun to watch, lot of fun to hear, and in good taste. I recently started playing STALKER again.
👍
Good Hunting Stalker...
Found your channel recently, after FINALLY watching that oscilloscope music kickstarter, being amazed, finding the community, and finding your videos. I just showed some to my mom recently, after she broke her fibula. She really likes this one! She was a bit confused when I showed her calibration, although she is interested in the other ones. I’m not going to get into the Jerobeam Fenderson versus Chris Allen debate at this time, but the commenters are free to!
Thanks for the support! Jerobeam is a beast, but not a competition here (I hope!) just a couple of guys doing what they love!
Those THICC elecctronic beats! Almost Daft Punk level of quality. And so clear visual part. Keep improving, man, this content deserves much wider audience than your 11k.
tell a friend!
@@ChrisAllenMusic I've done it as fast as I found your channel.
i love the random error messages and such
Ha Hell yeah another one!
Sick mate!
Finally! I was waiting for you the whole quarantine.
this is epic
listened to this while skating
and started going 10x the normal speed
I like the breakdown before and after 2:30
cool
teacher: "you cant HEAR images"

*Now that’s trippy*
small brain: making music that sounds good
big brain: making music that looks good.
Galaxy brain: Making music that looks and sounds good.
You miss out on the visuals while driving a car, but dang this is fun
It would be cool to find some algorithm that could, for a given image and a given sound, try its best to draw the image so that when you add the left and right frequencies together you still get something fairly close to the original sound.
Never thought someone was gonna be able to make something with a coherent beat and waveform, great job!
🎶🔥
有生之年
fkn love it
I wanna jam out to this
I love it, the visuals and the sound
The consistency, the quality, the visuals... Damn
No way, dude - to me it sounds like a whole new level of awesomeness on this project.
All these groove bits, clad in solid visual form... I look forward to further development and thank you +___+
I love the incorporation of text! Well done once again!
What music truly looks like. I cant imagine how much time you must've put into this.
This dude is the only species left to still made this kind of masterpiece. respect.
The synth at 0:19 has no right to be as meaty as it is
ERROR UNEXPECTED COMPONENT DETECTED
can't believe I missed this piece lol
oh no
it appears that I have broken the fabric of space time again...
perhaps I can use this C O S M I C S A U C E to repair the rip and refabricate humanity.
Love the little micro story in the description, have you ever thought of making like a whole narrative with little bits of it separated between different songs in an album?
many of the songs are little vignettes in the same universe.
Dude i just discovered this, and god i need to watch theese while tripping balls
Try it on .75 speed. Trust me. ;)
Huh, neat
Sounds AND looks awesome. :)
ah yes.... human music
to me this actually sounds so cool at 0.75 speed, I recommend people to try it
Fucking awesome
Holy zeroes, this is glorious!
weve heard about stereo audio now get ready to witness our eyes at STEREO IMAGERY
Now this, is art.
imagine anime on a Oscilloscope :O would be cool
