I’ve seen them at least ten times. I can never figure out if they write things so deep, or if the things they write can just be interpreted on many different levels. That is what makes Tool one of the best bands ever! 300 years from now, I think people will examine their music like we do Beethoven’s today.

@@jamrep9633 I enjoy Lateralus the most too. That being said, I love all of their music and Maynard’s lyrics. With Danny’s sacred geometry and the length of time between albums, it wouldn’t surprise me if some or all of the numbers are purposeful and significant. On the other hand it could all be coincidental. We may never know for sure. To be honest, all the numbers and research put into this video had my head spinning! I think for me, I’ll just enjoy Tool’s musical masterpieces and not overthink the numbers. I have found Lateralus to be a spiritual experience. My favorite off of FI is Invincible, definitely a masterpiece.
It’s weird. I’ve always loved this band, but in the last month or two, I’ve started to ‘get it’. Pretty fucking amazing when you start realizing the messages their music is conveying. It’s all of course subjective and down the individuals interpretation of it, but the main thing is, is it’s all good.

During the music clinic events they did a little while back, some fans asked about Lateralus' theorized reordering in the 'Holy Gift" sequencing, as it seems to flow much more 'perfectly' than the CD ordering. Adam, Danny, and Justin all apparently acted like they had never heard of it, and that they released the album in the ordering that it was intended. Given their mystique, I would assume (as someone else here mentioned) either that A.) TOOL is operating on this insane level, and would want to keep that under wraps/likely would not be able to explain it if they tried. or B.) all of this really is coincidental and/or did happen but the band did not intentionally plan it out. Either way, it would make sense in their position to want to deny any of this, at least to keep up their "mysterious" brand image. Personally, I think-whether intentionally by design of the band or not- the synchronicities in TOOL's music are indeed happening, and contribute to the unique music fans can't seem to get enough of. Paraphrasing Maynard in the video, "I lose nothing believing it is real if it actually isn't," [and conversely; ..."but I may be missing out if I don't believe, and it is real"].
i dont think that they are the usual type of human they would never tell you about it because it will alter your opinion and they always wanted to be a tool for whatever you wish to do if they talk about it the magic is gone becuase we limit our mind they want you to think for yourself question everything this is still a theory about all the numbers they could be wrong from the beginning and tool could be working with wrong numbers but i dont think its about the numbers its about the meaning we give them except for the sacred geometry once ago some1 gave those number meaning but some numbers simply are what they are like pi or the fibonacci squence
1. I commend this guy's research & dedication to discovering the deeper mythos of Fear Inoculum. 2. I could only make it half way through this video. I then put on my tin foil hat, assumed a yoga position in the shape of a 7, and beamed my soul out to the planet Saturn.
Only thing I geeked out truly over is the name of the track Litanie contre la Peur, which translates to Litany against Fear, which is a direct reference to Frank Herbert's Sci-fi classic Dune. Litany against fear: "I must not fear.Fear is the mind-killer.Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.I will face my fear.I will permit it to pass over me and through me.And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." Coincidentally, also has roots in Shakespeare which this video referenced as well.
Daaaamn, this analysis is really interesting. I am not really into the math side of things, but I've always felt like TOOL is something else, in my experience I have felt Euphoria the highest high, and it was all connected to Tool music, I focused just on the lyrics, I could see they relate to my own life at that particular moment in my life, and it was a crazy experience, with supernatural powers going on..
I have come to believe that Tool's music is meticulously engineered to leverage esoteric technologies on our subconscious, in order to awaken us to the Great Work.

Feel free to link us to a downloadable version of the non-compressed video for our own studies and libraries. Thank you so much for your hard work! I've been waiting for this video to come out!
This video is an amazing piece of work, released on the Solstice and the day of the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, the 6th and 7th heavenly body. Tool either intended every single one of these alignments or the universe lined them up for Tool. If you think about it, it’s the same thing. As above, so below. Thanks for all your hard work... I’ll be watching this MANY times.
@@MrMobileVortex I mean....33 or 58 are pretty specific numbers. You can only go so far with them. If one really thinks that the prevalence of 58 all throughout the album (and honestly I barely scratched the surface), like for example in Pneuma, the numerical additive sum of 7empest's 15:43, the numerical value of Noah, which is highly likely related to 7empest and Maynard's future catastrophe undercurrent, the abbreviated form of the name of Metatron the angel of the first sphere, which has a numerical sum of 620 which is the seconds count of Fear Inoculum, and the fact the 58 is the sum of the first 7 prime numbers and a mean Saturn Return number, in an album revolving around 7 and the Saturn Return, is coincidental, then, well....that is your opinion.
Hey I just want to commend you on your esoteric knowledge and all you've put into these videos. I've been steeped into the study of the mysteries and the like for almost a decade and wish I could speak with you on these topics more in depth to learn from your own side of the spectrum. Once more, thank you for all that you do as it's a privilege to have a repository for all things Tool.
🤯 This band has spoken to me my soul from the beginning and I never knew why. I had my first awakening a few years back and I had no idea what they were singing about until after. It all makes perfect sense!🤯
Personally I'd say it's a combination of consciously doing these things,..and subconsciously aware via patterns and experiences. Eventually ones whole being becomes in tune and aligned with this kinda stuff. Lol. So says personal experience, lol.
@@thelemite935 I agree ... these math's are ancient and are calcualted to be synchronized ... once you start synchronizing purposely, some inadvertent synchronization will happen automatically. It's still incredibly amazing and almost insane that they are able to play these songs.

Thanks. What I put into this video barely scratches the surface, there's so much more I didn't talk about. The video could have easily been several hours long. Perhaps since I didn't add commentary and basically rushed the narration, some people are making the wrong conclusion.

At the exact center/middle of the song Fear Inoculum, Maynard says the word “mitosis”, which is defined as a cell splitting itself in two. In Descending, at the exact middle of the song, Maynard stops singing and the rest of the song is basically an instrumental.
For those who are continuesly calling all of this coincidence (which in fact there is no such thing in the natural universe), have missed the entire point of Tool itself. They are smart enough to turn their egos off and let the universe do its thing, ala work through their subconscious, manifesting a microcosm and model of the universe itself in each of their albums from within and without the human framework. Alan Moore has done the same as well as many other actual great artists through history. Just because you like riffs and sound, doesn't mean these great artists have done decades of complex work and study off that same premise. Open your minds to possability; why else are you even here?
I agree that they follow their subconscious, I try to do that with my own musical creations. But I will also say that every thing this video points to, I highly doubt Tool consciously chose to do. The fact that it is subconscious means that it is true. Your subconsciousness is your real self devoid of all outside infiltration. That is why the number 7 is significant because artists have been depicting for generations from a subconscious feeling. But this idea of “coincidence” very well could be just people falling into this vortex of subconscious natural order. That’s the coincidence. I guess. I don’t know. I’m just stumbling through this universe with the rest of you.
@@liquidaudio_ Not all of it would need to be conscious, because once one aligns themselves with enough truth, the rest just flows. In the 60's and 70's I spent far to much time trying to analyze the Beatles, Floyd, Doors, etc. When I discovered Tool in the 90 's I thought oh no here I go again. @@brianduman6969 dude I have to assume that at least half of that is coincidental.. I know they go deep into spirituality and numerology in all the aspects of their music, but a lot of this has to be him just seeing that stuff bc he was looking deep for it
Look into gematria and how that has been influencing humanity for hundreds if not thousands of years. An album of this magnitude containing such depth as this video reveals is not beyond the grasp of TooL. Truth is stranger than fiction my friends.
And right before I was guided to this video, I had a Golden key 🔑 show up in my meditation. For me, the Golden key 🔑 means Balance. For Balance is the Key 🔑 to life. Bringing the physical and spiritual into balance. Heaven and Earth into balance. Dark and Light into balance. No more past and no more future. “BE HERE NOW” 🙏🏻 The Present Moment is where Life is happening. ❤️
Despite all of the numerology, it’s Shakespearean references that punctuate the breadth of the album, and, in doing so, flag one of its central themes: entropy. In Pneuma, corporeal existence is described as “this guise, this mask”. But it’s worth mentioning that, when archaically spelled ‘masque’, the word refers to a short play performed by (typically) nobility as a sort of opening act before a main dramatic production. These concise skits often began with ‘anti-masques’ that established a chaotic milieu, which would be corralled into order by the players in the subsequent ‘masque’; ultimately reinforcing an Elizabethan-era belief in the triumph of intentioned order over uninhibited chaos. In fact, Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ revolves around the magician Prospero, who conspires to produce a masque both as an act of revenge against his enemies as well as an allegorical morality play to educate his daughter, who is coming-of-age and soon to marry. He succeeds, and, with his enemies defeated, restores righteousness and order. Both Aenima & Lateralus open with songs that serve as expositions of negativity, and the albums proceed, alchemically, if you will, to turn these leaden initiations into golden finales. Think Third Eye & Reflection... Fear Inoculum, however, does the exact opposite. Starting with the eponymous first track, the album gets steadily darker, until it lands in that epic hurricane of a song, 7empest. This descent is Prospero’s work undone; the album ends with an anti-masque, in which chaos reigns triumphant, and all the king’s horses, and all the king’s men cannot put anything back together again. This, of course, is not to say that Tool has, in the passage of decades, become overly pessimistic. Rather, it seems that they’re pointing to the infallibility of spiritual development as a panacea for our increasingly unhinged epoch, while being honest about the entropic course our species is taking and the inevitability implied thereby.
Interesting take! "Spiritual development" can be a trap and bypass. We are mortal and we are Divine all at once, in every moment. Chaos is par for the course.
Thank you for all your work on this it's pretty amazing stuff. Learning a bit deeper about some of these topics is great. Adding the music is a whole nother layer but I appreciate all the work that went into this.

You can dissect a lot of bands/music and find something similar, if this band plays outside of boundaries. And even if not. There's plenty of room for accentuation within 4/4. Your overanalyzation fits the mysterious tool just waaay better ;)! And I really appreciate your effort!! An example: everything is based on the golden ratio. Without exception. But on a different scale, we cannot simply see. If you force things into the ratio to make the obvious obvious, then it easily gets mystified. An artificial hommage, pretending to be something, that it already is ;)!

The band is the "tool" being used to convey a message bigger than ourselves from deep within our subconscious. Whether they are conscious of it or not remains debatable. The music and message can be whatever you choose to take from it, as with all art.
I have many questions here: Each member of Tool has been going through all of this diligent joining sacred geometry, alchemy, and astrology together since the beginning! What then does this imply? What is the significance of doing such study and union? What is alchemy and astrology? Why is it all showing up again and again in the stars, in history, and on Earth? What teachings are here? What does this mean?
About the significance or purpose of all this. Besides that it is absolutely awesome to discover a record that way, I think it best shows in what Danny said, which was shown in the video. They believe in every bar, not just every verse and chorus, every bar of this record. It shows the passion they bring up creating this art. Personally I think this is a, if not the most important aspect of creating art. The energy that goes with it is so signifficantly different to something that is f.e. created only for the sake of earning money with it. For me it makes the escence of expieriencing art.

"overthinking, overanalyzing" seems to fit this video. Jesus dude, the lyrics are pretty clear you don't need to just repeat what pretty much everyone knows.
That moment you realize Tool are just a group of math and music geeks . They love the creation and process even if half their fans never dig deep enough to catch on . They put so much more deeper thought and math into their work than they get credit for . Half if not more of their fans have no clue what any of this even means. Some criticized the band for how this album turned out and thought Tool just sat around for 13 years for the hell of it and then threw an album together last minute cause perhaps the wallets were getting a bit light. . Minds are blown now realizing there was a lot of mathematical significance, timing and deeper meaning involved in the release .
Alot of this I'm sure wasnt 'planned' out,but when your intension is so focused these things happen. Its like in quantum physics when the observer effects the outcome. The universe is speaking back in synchronicities & 'coincidence'. This occurs all the way down to the way each of us perceive the vibration."OM!"🌀

Saturn= 42, 21, 69 in the base ciphers... which I wish you included in the video. Saturn is represented by lead/black and Jupiter represented by purple hence why the album art work has both converging as an allegory to The Great Conjunction. The Greeks worshiped Zeus which is Jupiter, in Pneuma Maynard references the child releasing the light, aka Jupiter the son of Saturn, one spark, sun becoming references the conjunction and how it's appearance resembled that. Descending beings with the sound of ocean waves crashing as we enter the age of Aquarius ruled by Saturn, Jupiter is now Descending.

It's not intended to be intentional at every level. The artists certainly had a hand in a large portion of the music's layers but Magical properties take on their own path without every action calculated after it's execution. This video is an individual's look into the inner workings of how and what is being created. It isn't proclaiming that every single line of complicated math, geometry or scientific formula was intentional by the artists themselves. It would exist regardless. Maynard once talked about the redundancy of formulating the fibonacci sequence into Lateralus on the basis that it exists everywhere anyway. The Joe Rogan interview I believe. Anyway, the video was very well put together and informal. It's a shame people don't seem to see it that way.
Man I have been a huge Tool fan since 93. I loved how they were not all over their videos and that they couldn’t care less if they were on the radio or not. Anyway I love how deep their music is , not only sonically but stuff like what this video is about. It is not just a song it’s art. Takes them forever to put out an album for this reason. I would LOVE to have the guys watch this and get their reactions to it.
Laughter, more than anything.
i dont think that they are the usual type of human they would never tell you about it because it will alter your opinion and they always wanted to be a tool for whatever you wish to do if they talk about it the magic is gone becuase we limit our mind they want you to think for yourself question everything this is still a theory about all the numbers they could be wrong from the beginning and tool could be working with wrong numbers but i dont think its about the numbers its about the meaning we give them except for the sacred geometry
once ago some1 gave those number meaning but some numbers simply are what they are like pi or the fibonacci squence
They'd be laughing their asses off

Only thing I geeked out truly over is the name of the track Litanie contre la Peur, which translates to Litany against Fear, which is a direct reference to Frank Herbert's Sci-fi classic Dune.
Litany against fear:
"I must not fear.Fear is the mind-killer.Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.I will face my fear.I will permit it to pass over me and through me.And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
Coincidentally, also has roots in Shakespeare which this video referenced as well.

I'm still learning Gematria, Numerology, and Astrology. It's interesting. It's alot to learn.

The band is the "tool" being used to convey a message bigger than ourselves from deep within our subconscious. Whether they are conscious of it or not remains debatable. The music and message can be whatever you choose to take from it, as with all art.
"Is this all but mere coincidence, just magical thinking or meticulously planned artistry?"
Ockham's Razor: "Yes"

It reminds me the first Darren Aranowkski movie "PI the delirium theorem".... anyway congrats for the hard work
That was exactly what I was thinking of!! Hahaha
Well said! Average people just don’t understand. I can’t wait to share with my wife. And then ask her to show me something that Jon bon jovi said in any song written that has any depth at all comparatively speaking. No offense to jbj or to her but the explanation this guy delivers beautifully is spot on! I would like to have a conversation with him as through learning to my best ability to analyze TOOL, it all makes sense- Period! Coming from a high level mathematician, and psychologist just sayin... Everyone involved with TOOL is brilliant and if any fans don’t realize that TOOL is as smart and clever as the presenter of this video portrays needs to study up big time!
And the comments I have read insofar as of now are appalling to me and I will venture to say that deep down TO THE CORE , TOOL fans will agree. However, everyone who has made comments are, if not TOOL fans, at least interested so you are off to a great start, ignorant comments or not, this band will dumb you right down NO MATTER how smart you think you are. So count every character in my post. Every single letter and comma and period they will equate to pi minus my age of 40.4082 plus tau. And this only took me a few hours to do the MATH! And the gents of this band are WAY more superior to this layman. Took 13 years to make FEAR INOCULUM for many good reasons!
a lot of effort went into this vid. nice work
Probably my favorite @ToolArchive video yet. My mind exploded
Wow! Just wow... Enchanting is an understatement. You've just introduced an enormous new layer of depth on to an already immensely deep art form.... Im in awe, this _really_ resonated with me, in more ways than there are words to explain. I used to think and see things in this way often as a child. When did I forget? How do I return to this place within me.. Absolutely magical, how much the vortex you just spun me through felt like home.... Thank you for taking the time out to explain and share this! Bravo! 🥰👏❤❤❤
Yes, for myself as well for reawakening a part of my past. The numerology aspects are eye-opening, and as was mentioned "only just scratch the surface." Also quite interesting was the symbology of the name"TOOL". Fascinating to the point of mind blowing. Which is fitting for a band as incredible as Tool. Wow is right.😊
Saturn= 42, 21, 69 in the base ciphers... which I wish you included in the video.
There's so much I didn't add into the video. Waaaay more is coming.
@@ToolArchive I also noticed that Fear Inoculum was released 138 days before patient zero arrived in the US on 1/15/20.
Fear Inoculum= 138
Thank you for this video, for the longest time I was trying to figure out the significance of 138 and why it was released on 8/30. Most people do not understand the significance of the time period, we are living through, let alone magick; and thus why the art the band put out is so heavily coded and ritualistic.
@@ToolArchive Gematria aspect is often ignored so thank you for the inclusion.
Your voice sounds familiar. Do you have a separate gematria/numerology decoding RUclips channel?
@@ToolArchiverelease the light already lol
Can't wait for that 7empest video. Shit, the rabbit hole is so deep, you could probably do a vid for each song on this album and all the others plus a vid for each album like this one, then a video for all the albums combined as one great concept album.
For me there is definitely a similarity/connectedness of Third Eye, Lateralus, Rosetta Stoned, 7empest.
Fractal music. 1.618
all I wanna know is how it sounds in 432Hz - while re-arranging the tracks as according to the Pythagorean theorem - on the edge of the flat earth - while high on DXM or DMX or whateva I do what I want.
How about dmt it's obvious a major influence on these guys
@@pat-a-rattat8094 I can tell by their faces that they do not take DMT
All I can think about now is what the heck that ‘song’ in the background is
It's a tool, to activate your pattern seeking. It doesnt matter how "out there" it sounds, the only way to find patterns in your chaotic life is to look for patterns. How else would you start?
Everything I noticed about tool but didn't know how to put any of it together. This was so enlightening! I'm a long time fan and this was just some amazingly well put together observations. Thank you for making this I found it absolutely memorizing.
This guy needs to watch the movie Pi and take in its message.
Has anyone not connected the FEAR INOCULUM , FEAR VACCINATION , AND THE SYRINGE IN THE LOGO ?
No wonder Danny's playing on this album is so insane. It also explains why some of the songs go on ten minutes longer than they needed to.
Just wanted to send love to you my friend, gratitude for your dedication
Pink Floyd fans: "Dude, if you play 'Dark Side of the Moon' with 'The Wizard of Oz', they sync up together!"
Tool fans: "Hold my beer..."
Well I mean Maynard was in many ways inspired by Floyd
Many people don't understand what this guy says, I knew some of the secrets and this is amazing some guys in the western world can understand these symbols and arts among many propaganda. good job man!
Same, I have a general idea about what he is talking about, but im nowhere near his knowledge, im familiar with the magical power of numbers, consciousness, crowley (dark magic) etc.
I don't think Tool members themselves would even analyze this far...
Then you don't know..
Lot of comments I see are about the background noise... if you cant learn to separate things and tune out unwanted things such as noise you'll never see pass the noise.
lol okay, Tool is amazing but let's calm down.
Its not far fetched. At all.
You don't get it.. And it cannot be given to you so I suppose you'll walk without feet..
Lol ironic your name is drummer considering you have no personality at all
Ah you got the classic tool fan response, im so sorry :(
@@loomhancok ''2 Minutes and 57 seconds is 177 seconds, or 1.77 -- the first three digits of the square root of pi''. Lol. What do you mean ''its not far fetched at all''?
I'm really glad I watched this video sober, it was psychedelic enough on its own. Impressive work!
First saw TOOL on the 2nd stage at Lolapalooza. I believe it was '93. I know they later took a spot on the main stage of that same tour after one of the bands left. I saw them many times in the years that followed and I was blown away everytime.
It's Tool, this is absolutely what they do, nothing is random! Bravo to you for digging so deep and WOW Tool never cease to blow my f@#king mind! 🙌🙌
That’s why it doesn’t bother me that it takes a long time. Love this bad.. this is a great video bud, you put a lot of work and research into it. I just wanted to say thank you for making this.. good job bud
