This video came as a recommendation so I think RUclips's algo thinks of me as stupid perhaps. That is why such stupid videos are coming as recommendation. I know this is direspectful to you but I really dont know what were you smoking taking a cruiser on a hill. Cruisers are meant for 'Cruising' and for hill you use something called as 'Adventure' bike like Himalayan. Hope that give some fundamental gyan, 'Bro'. For activities like these Indians are judged as stupid internationally. Bhai, ye harkat karne tak thhik thha but why did you share this on youtube?
You broke my heart "Bro", and my dreams. Here I was thinking of taking this "Cruiser" to Ladakh! How "Stupid" of me to think of taking a Royal Enfield to Ladakh, sooooo odd right? Like no one's ever done this "stupid" thing before. Thank you so much for enlightening me on fundamentals. Off I go to buy an ADV. While at it, I'll also buy the RS457 for track, an Activa for commuting, and also a GT650 for when I want to dash to the nearest Starbucks. And why did I share this on RUclips? Just to piss you off my man, I'm sorry! This was all a big conspiracy to draw your attention. (smoke canned)
Fantabulously creative sarcasm , you are my type then (youtube got it right). On a serious note, an adv tourer can do all - commuting, long rides, buying egg/milk, doing circus, ladakh, starbucks- u name it. Meteor and shotgun are made for markets abroad. Adv is the answer to versatility. I can say that with conviction because right now i am riding a himalayan and an interceptor. Your stunt like these can land you in deep trouble with perhaps irreparable health damages, it’s all about maturity to realise the riding responsibilities. And if that message offends you then pls delete my comment. Because videos like these are equivalent to irresponsible videos with people boasting 200+ speeds on expressways.
@@bibudeshphoto High-five then!! same breed, with slightly different mutations :-) I get your point, seriously. But I don't like how ADVs look, and I'm totally shallow. Most of my buying decisions are based on form over function, SM included. And sacchi bataun, bhai Off-roading ka toh plan hi nahi tha - and none of us expected the trail to be this harsh. I agree, SM is not meant to go off-road and that's why it scores a mediocre 5/10 (see description). The idea behind posting this was to share an experience, and people take away "what not to do" and potentially comment the same (which you did), in a respectful way (which you didn't) 🙂 Let's get a drink man, what delete the comment?? I'm going to pin this!
Reasonable attacking comments and defence already there for the video. There is this legend “ it’s the rider and not the bike” which accomplishes. So here the rider did it which is unthinkable by most cruiser owners However there is a thin line between taking the most out of your motorcycle and abusing it. I am sure after the ride the rider must have taken care of the motorcycle. The point here is NOTHING. He wanted to take his cruiser to a trail. He did. He shared the experience. You hit the like or the dislike. Whether he will go for such rides the second time ? His bike his choice. What I look forward to is - if he changes the tyres or shed some more weight by doing some mods or trying different transmission ratios. All the best
I resonate! This was unplanned but a learning experience, SM was not very comfortable on the trail understandably so. I wouldn't make this a habit but good to know that if need be, SM (and me) can handle ourselves if we come across such a trail. :-)
Hey thanks so so much man. Most of us only have a single bike garage and we want to do everything with it no?!!! High five and thanks again for the appreciation 😊
USE ENGINE BRAKING AS REAR BREAK TO SLOWDOWN. DON'T PULL THE CLUTCH IN, UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO STOP. USE FRONT BREAK TO CONTROLE THE SPEED. YOUR BIKE WON'T STALL ON A DOWNHILL DESEND.
Yeah those seats are amazing, I took a ride on his SM and very comfortable too. He got it done custom from a shop in Andheri, Mumbai. Both seats are done, rider and pillion. You want contact information? I'll ask him.
Thanks for doing this crazy stuff... Helps a lot to decide what I want. I am deciding to buy the sm but just worried about the shocks at the back...any comments on that? Currently i ride the thunderbird 500 and there is no other bike besudes the sm to upgrade to.
Thanks so much man! Guess what I too upgraded from my TB350 which I had for almost 10 years. You’re right, no other sensible option in the cruiser segment. SM is a great motorcycle, rear suspension is stiff, and will trouble initially, over a period of time what I’ve noticed is it softens up - say after 7-8k kms. Go for it, you won’t be disappointed. Good luck mate and thanks!!
Stop using the front brake! Locking up the front brake is what got you in trouble, just as easy to use the back brake. It has plenty of stopping power.

"Adventure" lives in the rider, not in the bike. Awesome video!
Awesome!! Couldn’t have put it any better 😃 thank you so much!

Valuable piece of advice brother, thank you so much 😊
4:56 bro, Where can I get that seat? Looks like Single tourer seat

Where is this ?
Kamshet hills, 40 kms from Pune
250kg ki Bike ko Kharab area me leke jaoge to bohot problem aayga & GC bhi minimum hai
You’ve got a point brother! But the stupid heart wants to do what it wants to do 😄
Change the Tires too proper 50/50 DualSport Tires, add a skid plate and Try Again. you will be surprised how huge of a difference the Tires Make.
I knew it’s the stock tires that’s making it so difficult. But then honestly SMs not built for this, learnt my lesson.
@@autorevvv Oh if Only RE Knew what the meteor is capable of with a few mods ruclips.net/video/qyK4XWHYBQA/видео.html
@@ripmax333 Wow just watched that video - it's sick... Meteor looks delicious with those mods. Bitten now, going to try something like thatttt

Agreed! Lessons learnt 😬
Bro come to Laddhak , India 🇮🇳 .
Very soon bro! Very very soon!!
yes, what is necessary to take a cruiser bike for off roading, when this machine is not made for this purpose.
Just felt like doing it 😊
kaun hai ye log.... that take cruiser on a trail.... :)
Yaar bataya hi nahi Gaya tha ke trail hogi. Hum toh Paragliding ke moh se gaye the
Mountain trail bikes route and riding motorcycles on that. What really you guys get out of it. Leave your motorbikes and get cycles, get life back.
You’re right. The thumbnail is accurate. 😃
This motorcycle is not for off-road. Because heavy weight and low ground clearance enjoy highway cruising bro.
I know bro just tried something different and it did not do so bad! Cheers!!
Wrong booked to off-road
I know - but it still did reasonably alright :-)
