Y'all know this is just my opinion, right? - Видеоклипы
The flannel lore is getting a little too deep for me
There's like 4 bruh
MR. SMALLS there’s also a black and a green one
Just go back and watch all of the last 80 videos again, you’ll understand.
👨🏻🦲
blue flannel means 6 to 8, making it the "positive review" flannel. There has NEVER been one review with the blue flannels that doesn't follow this pattern.
Blue flannels are the wildcard I need to actually watch the review.
I'm scared of it...... Help!
You shouldn't just bounce after reading scores or skip his reviews. He puts a hell of a lot of time into each video on a day-to-day basis, likely hours upon hours in terms of listening, writing notes etc. really disrespectful to not even be able to give the man less than 10 minutes of your day haha
@@TheMetalTempestYT It's a meme. I know and appreciate the work Fantano fits in and I support him financially when I am able.
👨🏻🦲
@@TheMetalTempestYT "really disrespectful to not even be able to give the man less than 10 minutes of your day" fuck off
So, the red is below-average, the street clothes is average, the blue or orange flannel is a 7, and the yellow is the godlike. The universe is expanding.
Kartii this was before the lore was expanded tho
No, he wore the blue when Danny Brown got an 8 so in my opinion the blue flannel are for ratings in the middle of 7s and 8s
@@sciencecharity So when was it established then?
He wears a blue flannel when he has to rate an album
Just stop
Disagree I think Rosa parks was a wonderful lady but I can respect your opinion
She never stood up for anything
Very subtle comment love it
Goddamn, you Fantano kids really love running this joke into the ground!
Bumpy Stumpy stfu

Somehow this is an underrated comment
God I hate how meme-happy Fantano's comment section is. Sometimes you just want to discuss the damn record.
I agree, but the comments sections are a lot better on his less watched reviews.
complaining about the comment section is pretty much a meme in and of itself at this point
It’s like Dunkey’s comment section.
Mr. Pandabites shut up
Si discuss it now you got a top comment
It's a masterpiece in my opinion. I've heard the album like 8 times. It's the best album of the year
Samuel Colunga fkcn right this aint no damn 7
Just listened to it the other day and now I'm up to around 8-9 listens too. It's great.
same man.. i dont get how this flew under the radar
2 years too late but I lost count to be honest. I like it even more than his previous album, which I thought was impossible.
yeah man, every Michael Kiwanuka's projects are masterpiece
I’m going to write my graduate thesis on the science of Melon’s flannel selections
This album deserves a strong 8 to a decent 9 imo. Very cohesive and amazing production front to back. No song disappoints tbh. If you haven't given this a listen, why the fuck you're here
I absolutely love Michael Kiwanuka. I started listening after his work on The Get Down. Love and Hate is one of my favorites, like, EVER.
wow. an ACTUAL NON MEME comment... must be the blue flannel, throwin u off
@@thiccboibray3780 tbh this comment is blessed, kinda tired of all the meme comments
I started listening to when I heard Final Frame on the Craig Charles radio show. Then I bought a ticket to see him at Royal Albert Hall at his first performance there. Now again I have seen him earlier this month directly in front of me on stage where he was performing down the road from where I live. (Me so lucky!)
damn i really thought this one was gonna be a 9 or 10
me too. damn
Thought an 8 would be the score Fantano would go for. Can see why he’s critical about some of the interludes though. For me, it’s a 9, and my album of the year.
No damn was a 7
Count on a 10 when its a yellow flannel, 10+ min video and anthony making a crazy happy face in the thumbnail.
Its whatever score you want it to be.
you ever watch fantano and think “this guys got some opinions”?
no.
That's crazy talk.
Nah just hot takes
like him or not, melon's speaking straight opinions

Fantano: B L U E
The entire comment section: *visible confusion*
melon is colorblind confirmed. he has the one where he can't tell strong 7s from light 9s
Cool video, I liked the part where you reviewed the album.
how original
Yeah it was so unexpected
when did he do that?
Yeah ok you're not fooling me. I'ma need a timestamp for that sir
JM SA Right? I’ve never seen someone review an album before!
Glad to see Michael Kiwanuka on the channel, loved his first two albums and his Little Simz feature was killer. Can't wait to give it a listen
Anthony really likes a certain pacing in his albums. Uneven pacing for me is more interesting than something expected
Wat. How can you not like Solid ground? I thought it was one of the best songs off the record
The album title I read that it was a defiance against his record label since they were telling him to change his stage name to something more simple
Turn the 7 upside down it’s a 9 now
if you turn the 7 upside down it's L like Legendary
So when is “Lil B: WORST To BEST” coming out?
Or a madness bracket with all of his released songs
NEWS/FLOCK GROUPBUY
Prince Worst to Best
Oh man! You didn't like "I've Been Dazed"?!? Best song on the album. Sometimes I agree with your taste & sometimes I don't, but I didn't expect you to not get this song. It's great!
The album was really enjoyable to listen to, but I’ve Been Dazed is the only track I saved. I rarely agree with Anthony. not even sure why I watch
Fully agree, I’ve Been Dazed very much shines through on the album. And it’s just a fantastic album so that speaks quite loudly about the beauty of that song. You sir have great taste 🙂
this has to be a 9 or 10, bruh. I feel it
well, shit...
I hadn't heard of Michael Kiwanuka until about 2 days ago. After thoroughly enjoying the record, I was hoping that Anthony would cover it. Maybe he will get more exposure in the US with this album.
I think Anthony went in a _little_ hard on the interludes. The interludes give the album some breathing room. I generally dislike interludes and skits, but the way the interludes are linked to the tracks makes them easy enough for me to tolerate here. I feel exhausted at the end of some records that just go go go, and this record certainly isn't that. I'm not sure if the interludes were necessary to achieve this effect, but the effect was felt and the interludes are present.
I may try listening to the record while skipping the interludes and see how I feel. If the pacing still feels fine, then I'd agree that the interludes are a net negative aspect of the record, but one that only amounts to a slight knock against it.
We need more comments like this
Completely agree... the interludes made me love the album even more
WHAT DOES THE BLUE MEAN??!?? AHHH
@jaeden thank you
what if it just like his clothes and has nothing to do with the review.
Thank you Anthony for covering this album. Michael has been one of my favorite artists for years and I’m glad he’s starting to get some recognition. I loved this album, easily one of my favorites of the year. Thanks again Anthony.
Anthony the album isn’t called Nagasaki Boom boom Hiroshima
im hungry bruh moment
This comment. This one right here. I did the laughing thing.
made me exhale through my nose more than usual
Very happy you've covered this Anthony, its one of my favourite albums this year :)
Anthony, do you mind if I put you down as a reference on my Gamestop application?
kinda surprised was hoping for a 9 or 10 but this is fair.. hopefully MK gets big in the US this in 2019/2020
0:03 Did you really have to open the review with ‘Slavethony Tradetano’? Anthony please be a little more considerate.

I give it an 8. great review, I wasn't expecting to see this on da channel
So proud to see my man get a review.! I was an extra in his 'Hero' music video. Couldnt be happier that it's a favourite.
You Ain’t The Problem is a work of art. This album aged beautifully.
and best of all MERCURY PRIZE
I'm happy you reviewed this. Kiwanuka is one of the best artists in the UK. But can we give a shout to Inflo who also had a hand in producing. Not just Dangermouse
Let's go notification squad, been wanting this review
this album is beautiful
Yes!! I was starting to worry you’d miss this one. Great project agree with the review and score.
Been looking out for a new record from this guy since Grey Area.. Thanks for the review!!!!!
Masterpiece of an album
Thanks for reviewing this. I really like Michael Kiwanuka, and really enjoyed this album. Overall, I think I like Love & Hate more than this album, but some very solid tracks on here. Close to a top 5 album this year.
Bluethony Flantano
Just found this album and I absolutely fell in love with it
Nah fam, this is at least a strong 8/10
Learning alot thanks
I legit did a spit take cause I thought I heard “Slavethony Tradetano”
I thought the interludes were a great addition to the album personally
Fantastic album definitely in my top 10 albums this year
What does blue flannel mean?
I actually like the interludes, they make the album feel more atmospheric and, like you said, cinematic. 9/10 album for me I loved it
I did not know what to expect , had to watch
I fucking appreciate you heavy Anthony, you the man
Kiwanuka played a couple of tracks and interviewed on the Adam Buxton podcast, good listen
I have been a fan Michael‘s since his first album love the new album.
Thanks for reviewing this, Anthony 🖤
I remember getting one of this guy's singles on iTunes for free back in like 2012 or something. I believe it was titled, "Home Again" and I've been a fan ever since!
Good review Anthony! My favorite part was when you wore a flannel
Thank you!
Next review should be:
Norma Jean’s new album All Hail
Fantano: Wears blue flannel
Me: The plot thickens
When you come to see what people think about the kiwanuka album but everyone is just talking about the blue flannel shirt
Anthony, thanks for reviewing Kiwanuka! Are you reviewing new Kai Whiston?
Bruh kiwanuka is so crisp. I genuinely thought he was from the 70s-80s when I first heard him
Slaythano out here chopping up all the reviews on the daily
2 million congratulations
This is my favourite album ever! Hands down
I almost completely agree with you on all of this. I feel less strongly about the interludes, but they do take away from the pacing of the album. Surprised you didn't make the comparison between his cadence and Anthony Kiedis' cadence on some tracks on this album.
I don’t even know this album, but i had to click when i saw that flannel
Wow. Can't believe he actually reviewed this!
Have you taken a listen to chip the black boy?
Saw Mike K. live in 2012 I am telling you all he got that juice.
Anthony is just handing out good scores this year
Rockin the space flannel...
lot of peachfuzz on that melon. Also Anthony I scheduled your orthodontist checkup for 3:30 next Friday please write it in your calendar this time
anthony please review king princess’ debut album
I love this album. I could listen to it all day. I think I will actually.
thanks for pulling the plug on Grams. it was weird how you came into the room uninvited, she wasn't even in a coma it was just a check up. thanks again
Whew, so its not only me who isn’t super crazy about the new KIWANUKA. Been feeling like I was missing something.
You now have to review Home Again
You should definitely review Love & Hate. It‘s an incredible album
Speaking in general : The artist can do no wrong within their own work, hopefully they’ve done everything they can to bring out absolutely everything they could. It may not be amazing it may not be perfect for whatever medium they are using but if you listen to it and feel something, if it moves you in some way and it’s not just a money grab and run attempt then it’s art and it’s beautiful in its own right.
All art forums take a life time they won’t have everything amazing or perfect for everyone but you can appreciate their hard work and determination and support them.
The review I've been waiting for!
Thats an interesting shade of yellow there Fantana
Melon strikes again! I love the interludes.
Turn on captions for the opening.
Fantano, did u forget the new Caravan Palace album? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey Fantano nice to know that you are now a brazilian citizen
Why blue
What does it mean
Finally someone who feels the same way about piano joint, I've been showing it to my friends and they don't like it, haha

Mercury Prize 2020
I love Michael's voice
Glad this album won the Mercury Prize for 2020. He deserved it 🙌
Anthony had his crazy day wearing that flannel
Good review mellon.
But I'm not sure why you had to paint your whole body black at the end of the video though.
Second Bluethony Flannelthano
Anthony, what about leaving the blue flannel to 7-8 ratings
The Orange flannel 5-6 ratings
The Red Flannel 4-below
And save the yellow flannel for 9-10's, so, if we see it, we know is an AOTY
alfonso valera But where does White Flannel fit into the equation???
@@conradbucholtz3573 suggestions are accepted
alfonso valera maybe it’s just a wild card
alfonso valera This would just give away every score for his reviews
@@doperat9630 do you watch the videos for the score or the review itself?
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF BLUE FLANNEL IN THE ANTHONY FANTANO CANON?
Dude did a classical Fartano move reviewing this album... a t7 ... a fkin 7...
I've been dazed is the best track on the record, totally stands out
Hero sounds so 60's because the chord progression and sound are almost identical to that of the hendrix version of "all along the watchtower"
Grill the new Have a Nice Life Album next
Then do a classic review: Deathconsciousness
Loving this album, personally enjoy the musical interludes but I get the point that they dont add much to the album
