Pasta Sarmonella E-Specialé true but I reckon that's only useful to a thief. It should've been a barter bonus instead. Or at least something along those lines

i love how bethesda incorporated our own history into the elder scrolls...thats why i LOVE skyrim because well im scandinavian and nordic vikings are in my blood. I always choose the nord race or the breton race since i have some european blood in me too and breton culture represents europe back in the middle ages. I love that aspect.
@dylan_drose Imperials did not have any magic skills in Morrowind or Oblivion, and somehow they now both have Enchanting, Restoration and Destruction. Only the Nibenese imperials have some arcane talent, not the colovians which resemble the nords a lot.

I find Imperials and Bretons to be the best. Imperials are just all-around good at everything: magic is okay, and then being slightly better at fighting than most of the other magic and stealth inclined races. They're also good at speech starting off, and okay at sneaky stuff. The main bonuses are more money and calming enemies, which are both equally good skills for any build (unless you're like a beggar or something). It proves they aren't too bad. Then there are Bretons, who are essentially slightly-more-magically inclined Imperials. They have their main 25 skill as conjuration and start off with conjure familiar, if I'm not mistaken. The main power is absorption of spells for 60 seconds, which is completely useful for any build. Nords, Orcs, and Redguards are more fighting based characters, High elves, and dark elves are more magical characters, and Khajiit, Argonians, and Wood elves are more sneaky characters.
Maybe you guys could do lore on some of the wars Tamriel went through. Like the Great War, the Seven Years War, the Argonian Sack on Morrowind, and others
