guess I'll let you know if it's worth the money, waiting for the order to come in. thanks for the videos you and others post, ,,helped a lot when deciding to buy this bike
Thanks for doing what you're doing. It helps a lot of folks. It also raises questions! LOL. My questions are; how do you adjust the running lights to aim properly once they are in the fairing all put back together? Also, regarding your 21" wheel, I looked into doing that and hear from some people that the bike should be lowered for correct geometry. But then the guy who does more of those than anyone says you can't because the fender will hit the chin spoiler or frame (unles you have a custom fender too). What is your ecperience?
Thanks, I didnt have an issue with the aiming of the lights, then again i'm running led lights which are super bright. There auxiliary light made to just add extra visibility. The way they go in is just how there position.
Thanks for your video it helped a lot, but for people in the future it would also help if youremove the compartment on the side out to make it easier to put everything back together again
Thanks for the videos man! Just picked up the white one ,2016, a couple weeks ago. Looking to do the same kind of mods on mine. As far as your 21 in wheel. did you notice a BIG difference on the handling?
Thanks for your videos!! I know it's not easy making vids with one hand. LOL Like you I have a gloss black Vaq and I love it!! So a few questions: 1) Now that you've had the LEDs installed up front what's your honest opinion? I had a Cree brand LED on my last cruiser and it lasted ~30 days before the low beam died. I'm hesitant to go back with another Cree LED main headlamp. 2) I notice the headlamp cowl, normally chrome for gloss black model, is black gloss on your bike. Did you change it or buy your bike that way? If you made the change how did you go about? Paint? Vinyl wrap? Any plans on doing the same to the chrome aux light trims? Thanks for any help and answers. You are a tremendous plus to the Kaw / Vulcan / Vaquero / motorcycle enthusiast community! Keep up the great work. I'm a fan and follower. Peace!
Oh okay cool, I have a 2014 Vaq and the front cowl headlight cover comes body color with 2012 and up vaqs I believe. As far as the headlight is concerned I love em. I haven't had any issues with the brand bulbs I've been using (link should be in description). The bezels on the auxiliary lights I'm keeping chrome for me personally because I like the agents of chrome. I just ordered some sweet apes for the low for my bike I'm about to upload the video momentarily.
Bethel Ben Israel hey saw your videos about vaquero I recently bought a 2012 & did the auxiliary light upgrade , could u please tell what LED brand u used for the auxiliary lighting? My headlight is Led and I would like them to match my email is kad346@me.com thanks
i installed my vaquero driving lights thru the holes that the lights mount in, if you leave one of the bolts that hold the two brackets together out ,you can carefully slip the brackets thru the holes, then reinstall that one bolt. Now fasten the brackets to the fairing and last fasten the lights o the brackets. there is al kinds of room to do this inside the fairing
Just curious if you could post the link to the exact set of led cree bulbs you purchased. I am reading on the internet that some of the ones available won't mount into the Vaquero Auxiliary lights. Thanks!
The switch came with the lights, i dont have a part number for it seperately however i do have one for the dc outlet which is: 99994-0237 which would go on the oposite side.
The auxiliary lights and housing came with regular halogen h8 bulbs, the bulbs I have here are h8 LED bulbs. I included a link in the description to where you can order the same bulbs via eBay if you like.
+Mark Minniefield Hey I have a 2014 Vaquero Anniversary Ed. I went directly to the link to the LED on ebay, the kit I received was unable to get that set of lights to screw into my aux kit, can you confirm which set you ordered?
+Mark Minniefield I installed the H8 led cree bulbs. the link i provided was to the actual pair that i to had purchased. I have revised the listing to show a more broader selection of bulbs to choose from. the cross bulb would be a 9006 but to play it safe just make sure you purchase a h8 bulb kit if you haven't done so already.
They turn and lock in just like regular bulbs however the main headlight the H4 bulb I believe it is I had to slightly contour the retainer clamp to fit around the larger bulb due to the heat sync that's on the back of the led bulb. It wasn't hard.
did you notice if the led lights messed with your radio reception . I know it sounds stupid but i know from experience quipping a vehicle with led lights can weaken radio reception on both motorcycles and automobiles.
+Oakmond Jones nah not at all, I would recommend the Mustang seat though however. At least for me the factory seat after a while started to bother my spine for some reason, but now with my Mustang seat the bike rides like a dream.
+Oakmond Jones I don't have a pc at least not yet, so far I'm satisfied with it. Thing is when u get a pc u will also have to change the intake which im not ready to do yet financially.
Looks awesome I just ordered my auxiliary lights thanks for the video gonna help me out alot

No problem, Handling feels the same if not better.

+yungsekiete
The link you put is to a bunch of different bulbs. I was asking for a link to the exact same set you installed.
good video answered some questions for me.
Glad it could help. I know I looked around for months to see what the kit looked like and what came with it.
What LED light bulbs did you use for your install. I just got my Vaquero and I want to add LED lights. Please let me know. Thank you.

@@Beth-El many thanks!
@@goshell no prob
What type of LED headlight do you have and where did you get it, is it just a plug and play?
Yeah once you put the bulb housing together it's all plug and play.
What kind and size wreathe new bulbs? i have a 2014 vaquero. thanks and your bike looks good.
The lights are in the description
Man those put out some light, hey if you don't mind me asking where did you get those auxiliary lights and did they come with the bracket?
The auxiliary lights and housing came with regular halogen h8 bulbs, the bulbs I have here are h8 LED bulbs. I included a link in the description to where you can order the same bulbs via eBay if you like.

nice bike, ,,I just bought the 2015 vaquero,,,I have yet to find anyone that has gotten the sirius radio option. any idea how well it works?
Thanks alot, Im not too sure I pretty much just use my ipod. I haven't seen any complaints though.
What's happening Boss.... How did you get the bulbs in the housing
They turn and lock in just like regular bulbs however the main headlight the H4 bulb I believe it is I had to slightly contour the retainer clamp to fit around the larger bulb due to the heat sync that's on the back of the led bulb. It wasn't hard.
Okay thank you Boss man!!!
Nice white walls, do you have a walks round vid of your bike?
Yeah in my video to go over how to lower the front end of the bike to compensate for adding a 21 inch front wheel.
did you notice if the led lights messed with your radio reception . I know it sounds stupid but i know from experience quipping a vehicle with led lights can weaken radio reception on both motorcycles and automobiles.
robin stotz nah haven't had any issue with lights bothering radio. When u took the front off perhaps u loosens the antenna.
What LED's did you use and where did you get them?
Got them off ebay, type in cree bulbs and your bulb number.
what brand of the main led headlights are u using?
I dropped the link in the description
Hey ben which led lights you went with?
They were just some Cree led bulbs about 35 dollars.
@@Beth-El okay thanks

What kind or lights are those?
+James “Nephew” Miller I see it
+James “Nephew” Miller okay cool, but for others benefit the link is in the description.

Do you have any regrets on purchasing your kaw..

I plan on getting a 2014 left over next month, will I absolutely need a power commander, or is the power of that 1700 cc more than enough...

Dude....keep the camera still! You are all over the place. Makes it hard to watch!
