Seeing new comments pop up made me watch this video for the first time in years. Man i loved this bike! Sold it to a good dude who absolutely loves it.
Thank god you showed up on my YT front page. I’ve had my VN1700 since release in 2011. And I couldn’t find anyone online who changed the back lights. And you did showing me it’s possible to get rid of those HORRID back lights.
I did the big 3 on my Mean Streak years ago, uploaded the map, got it dyno tested and found 20% gains in hp and torque. Ive seen alot of guys get the Ivan Flash job done to correct power issues. I like the air ride and front wheel mods as well. Nice bike.
Hell yeah, you've got a nice ride in this video. I'm looking into buying this bike as an upgrade and your video has helped me see the potential it has. You did a great job Thanks for the video, love your bike.
Absolutely gorgeous bike man. I'm glad you stuck with the duals, I personally am not a fan of 2 into 1 but that's just me. You literally have my dream bike, only thing I'd add is the passenger backrest and luggage rack. Take care and ride safe bro ✌😎🍻
Buying a new Vaquero late next year (2025) will most likely be a 2023 model as I'm not too fond of the blue colour of the 2024. May even go with a 2025 model if there are significant upgrades and the colour is nice? I used to ride the 2005 Honda VTX 1800n so I need another monster so the 'Big 3' mods are going to be the first priority. I LIKE ALL your mods except I'm going to go with a daymaker main light and running lights ! It is guys like you that make videos like this that get the word out about how good this bike really is (after mods). Thank You. Ride safe.
Such a sick bike 😎 Ive got a '21 & im slowly working my way through the mods. "Big 3" was the first. Should ALWAYS be the first. Looking at 11" JSR Apes soon & Corbin seat maybe on the latter half of the '23 season. Really like their options to customize upholstery
I been trying to find info on where to get license plate cover like your.. can u hook me up with info on where u got yours from, as well as your speakers and adapters!! I have the same bike, but mine is a 2015!! Thanx for any info I can send my way!!
Thanks for the review. Have a Vulcan 900 and upgrading next month to the Vaquero. I just really trust Kawasaki quality. My Vulcan has never given me a drop of trouble. I just need more comfort, and less RPM at highway speed. Getting vibrated to death, but I'm asking it to do, something it was not intended to do. Look forward to my bigger bike. I do have one question, I didn't see you address the strip stop lights on the back. Really like those, easy to install? Product info? Take care, sweet bike man.
Honestly I have no idea. I've had around 40 bikes and I don't think that I have ever done the math to check fuel mileage. I just really don't care all that much. I wouldn't buy a 1700cc bike to save money on gas.
Were you able to change the bars without changing or extending the wires and cables/hoses? Bike looks great, what is the metal hoop infront of the bags?
I trimmed off the tab on the master cylinder that stops the banjo bolt from facing down if that makes sense. I needed a little extra for that. But all the cables amd lines are stock. And those are just the stock crash bars on the rear.
You get a lot of bike for cheap that’s why I’m seriously considering this bike. Cause HD sheeeesh some of those baggers are worth as much as my truck and this is coming from a guy who rides a dyna
The cables were fine. But on the bottom of the right side control I had to take a dremel tool and cut the "stop" for the banjo bolt on the master cylinder and rotate the banjo bolt a little bit. The brake line is just long enough. Also in did not run the wires inside the bars I didn't like the looks of the sharp cuts. It looked like they would chafe. Hope this helps with your decision. I did like the bars a lot better then stock.
@@unclerobb9941 ah ok. I see what you mean about the dremmel. They don’t make many options for this bike but yours look great. The stock bars just aren’t right, especially riding and doing low speed maneuvers. I rotated them up best I could but still too low. Thanks for the reply !!!!
From my experience drone is something that happens in a vehicle with loud exhaust. So I'm not exactly sure what you mean... the pipes sound nice and are far from being annoyingly loud.
Hi Uncle Robb, I see you sold your bike. I just got a vaquero and I wonder why many end up selling them after making it look awesome, improving performance and being happy with them. Any particular reason as to why you may have gotten tired of it?
I loved the bike. Mileage was getting up there and I ride a lot. Honestly the resale would have been shit if I kept it for a couple more years. Also the lack of engine upgrades sucks.
I built that little box. Bought the plugs off amazon and mounted them in the box. For power I grabbed a battery tender plug and cut the terminals off it. That way I can plug it right into the plug on the bike for my tender. You can unplug it easily when removing the saddle bag. Hope that all makes sense. I should have made a video about that alone.
I don't remember to be honest. 35-40 if I remember correctly. Honestly I never really gave a shit about mpg on a bike. I don't ride to save money on gas.

I like that you can remove the key(s) after starting. Nice little feature.
I think these are way more sexier than the road glide this definitely being considered for next purchase
I put a Corbin seat on my 1991 Harley Davidson Low Rider Custom and it's a very comfortable seat. The best! Nice bike!
Nice bike I have the 1700 nomad

Thanks. I was thinking of adding a low rack and do a slim removable tour pack.
@@unclerobb9941 I think that would look good and the fact that you can easily remove the tour pack to have the sporty look again is a nice feature
Sweet setup! I run an 07 vulcan 2000 classic!

i have a 2013 vulcan 900 classic. Great bike but i would love to have something like yours. So nice man.
Thanks. The 800/900 classics are great bikes.
I had a 900 custom and traded it in for a vaquero
That’s a great looking bike.,This is the bike I’d get if I ever get into the big cruiser scene. Granted I’m bias AF because I’m a die hard Kwaka Head,
Love the plate. Sweet bike too!
That plate is hilarious 😂🤣😆
