I worked in a foundry in Canada where we made the finest brake drums and rotors in the world. we exported these parts to some some of the finest cars makers around the world. Now we don't make any parts and furnaces are quiet and cold. You just can't compete with labour this cheap and standards this low. I have no malice for the foundry men in India or Pakistan, I just feel kind of bad that they work under these conditions as wage slaves and I work for less now too.... One day there will come reckoning..... I will stand with these men.
Sadly, your drums now come from China. They manufacture what they need. Also,it's your fault, not theirs,..see how that was turned around with nothing to back my statement..blame the manufacturer, not the slave

I'm a machinist and in the USA this labor would cost around $4000 to buy 1 wheel. They are doing for less than the cost of a mass produced automated manufactured wheel, probably around the equivalent of $400

What town or village in India please? Simple information like that provides perspective. Most producers of videos fail to realize that. Maybe just maybe there are some of us here in the West that are dying to invest. But where is it?
Hmmm, what were those castings made from. Raw iron with alloying additives or recycled ship parts? Then the lovely dirt floor workshop staffed by blokes wearing sloppy long sleeves and sandals. With no eye protection using lathes at least 70 years old. Most modern piece is the crank grinder and that is 40 years old. Then the crank was ground and not polished? And no provision for a spigot bush or a crank centre bolt.
this guys dont rely on china to come save them with parts like the west, they make their own and yet people complain about their foot wear,do you want them to wear tight jeans or shorts?
I dont think you can compare the quality of parts made in India with Pakistan. India is the 4th largest automobile manufacturer globally. High end brands are all manufactured locally. The next time you fly , in all likelihood the landing gear was made in India.
People never tire of mentioning the lack of ppe. Please realise this is a third world country, they can't afford such luxuries! These people are decades behind the leading countries both in resources and the way they think. Could they take simple inexpensive steps to improve safety? Of course they could but its not a priority due to their mentality. If you go back far enough even the most developed countries had diabolical working conditions! In Britain, we used to send children to work in coal mines! These guys are working hard and getting by with what they have! I enjoy watching these videos and focus on the manufacturing not the ppe!😊
Perfect footwear for this job ;-)

I can't decide which part is the most dangerous. Maybe it's the sandals?
Amazing skill. I just wish that they have more protection like protective eye and face shields and heat protective gloves and shoes.
False security, the barefoot is very sensitive to heat so they know where not to step. Hooka pipe after work cleans out all the hydrocarbon impurities
