Water and white vinegar. 70-30 mix. Anything that’s a mild acid works well. Vinegar is just diluted acetic acid and acetic acid is a mild acid. Spray it on, let it sit a couple minutes, wipe it off, wash and dry. No more water spots. In theory, you could also just use reverse osmosis water.
Literally just order the yellow pad and v32 before seeing this. Glad to know I’m on the right path! Now just need to work on my handling and speed of the DA polisher
I love the content you guys provide. I just purchased some cutting pads and compound to revitalize the paint on my 2013 is 250 and my 2005 infinity FX 45. They need it.
I might be late to asking. But is there a video for example, to explain and show cleaning pads by hand. Or like a good stopping point to perform a tool and pad check (re positioning power cord to prevent snag a round wheels or spilling product). Inspecting pad and amount of spent product. Having extra pads. Just some extra pro tips are always helpful
Wish I would have found your videos years ago. I live in Michigan, with heavy salt on the roads in the winter. My poor truck is rusting away. Wish I knew more sooner on how to protect it 😔😔
@@ChemicalGuys thank you I just bought the torq 10fx they gave me the blue the white and orange pads for it. So I was looking at videos on what to use for minor scratches. I seen the black pad that’s why I asked thank you for quick response

Im going to wetsand some orange peel on the roof of my white truck using a 2000 grit sand paper. Should i follow the same steps you used to polish, v32, v36, and v38 or what do you recommend?
What is the best products to clean a new tesla exterior and interior? is there a list of products that you can provide. Additionally if there is any kits that does the job please let me know.
Would this work on chrome too?? Have a 68 Camaro with chrome bumpers that has scratches. Can’t find anyone that talks about it. It’s shinny I just want it clean

Hi there! It is not necessary to wash the vehicle in between compounds/polishes. Simply wipe away spent product and use a surface cleanser such as Wipe Out before adding coatings.
I have a serious question for you guys. I’m I the only one that clay bars while soap is still on car lol? And also what’s better clay bar , clay block , or clay mitt
In previous videos they've mentioned that soaps actually cause their (or others too I think) clay blend to deteriorate and will essentially waste the product really fast and not provide desired results.

Great suggestion!!

Nice job my truck is shiny but needs help and care in my eyes.
But you guys have so much to offer I get lost looking up for the correct application's
Thanks so much for your feedback!
Great vid - very helpful. Any recommendation re: using a paint thickness gauge to help prevent removing too much clear coat would be great!

Welcome to the Chemical Guys family!
Nice results! Do you need to apply a wax after the V38 polish?
It's ideal
Can you make a video on how and when to use a da or rotary polisher and what pads to use?
Great suggestion! In the meantime, check out this video.

Hey! The Black Hex-Logic Pad is for applying your favorite coatings.
@@ChemicalGuys thank you I just bought the torq 10fx they gave me the blue the white and orange pads for it. So I was looking at videos on what to use for minor scratches. I seen the black pad that’s why I asked thank you for quick response
I'd be curious to see this experiment done to a brand new vehicle off the factory line.
Great suggestion!
Can I use the same steps to polish a silver color paint ?
Absolutely!!
Can you stop!!! Your products are amazing
Thanks so much for being part of the Chemical Guys family!
I noticed your pads have a hole in the center when mine don't? They are hexlogic pads I bought off Amazon
Do u have to go through all the polishes 32 on up for every car u polish?

Hey! V36 should work well for removing 2000 grit sanding marks.
v36 is amazing i been using that the most v34 works good but not my best compound

What product can I use to completely remove the cloudiness?
What other hex logic can I use? Besides the yellow??
Hello, I have black aluminum wheels on my car. Can I use signature series wheel cleaner on them? If so, do I need to dilute it?
Hi there! Yes, it is safe to use Signature Series Wheel Cleaner for your wheels. Try diluting 4:1.
How much clear coat removed?

Do you need to wash or rinse between the different compounds?
Hi there! It is not necessary to wash the vehicle in between compounds/polishes. Simply wipe away spent product and use a surface cleanser such as Wipe Out before adding coatings.
@@ChemicalGuys thank you!
What chemicals would you use to remove heavy oxidation?
Is it safe to use a microfiber pad to apply compound and polish??
Absolutely!!
So if you use v32 the v34 isn't necessary you can just go to v36 and v38 right?
Hey! Yes, it is necessary to refine the finish a polish such as V36 and V38 after using compound.
I have a newer infinity. It’s got some swirls amd small scratches. What v product would be the best?
Hey! Start with the least aggressive approach first such as V36 Cutting Polish.

What is the difference between this products and c4 and p4
Hey! C4 and P4 are great for quick jobs but when multi-step paint corrections are necessary the V-Line is the way to go.
What v product would I need for a newer infinity ? 34 or 36?
@@Sticklife27 That depends on the level of defects. Start with 34 and go up to 36. You will get a beautiful shine when that 2nd step is complete.
Just went to a chemical guys store and they told me C4-P4 is the newer formula combo that is every popular right now , haven’t used it yet
Is there anything I can use to remove the wax so I won’t wash it?
Hi there! Use Clean Slate to remove old layers of wax.

In previous videos they've mentioned that soaps actually cause their (or others too I think) clay blend to deteriorate and will essentially waste the product really fast and not provide desired results.
Do you need more than one clay bar for the entire car?
Hey! One clay bar can decontaminate several vehicles.
I was able to get about 10 washes out of a single package of clay bar
First time I've seen a yellow pad used
Hey! Use the Yellow Hex-Logic Pad for the most aggressive combination of paint correction.
Make a video on off road vehicle debt needs work send scratch removal
