I have a 2015 ats premium with performance pkg with a 3.6. Has the fe3 suspension. The car is impressive for a v6. Handles like on rails. Have owned it for 2 years and still get the "wow" factor everytime I drive it!!!
You nailed the over-the-shoulder shot. Thank you for doing that! It's exciting to watch and I've been wishing for that angle from my daily ingest of internet reviews.
***** I've owned BMWs. My last car was an e46 3 series. That was a fun car but I'm just not impressed with the newest BMWs.. And sales don't mean anything to me if a car is boring and bland.
@@Rtvoll to me its about the cost of service and reliability. cadillacs wont kill your bank account if something breaks. bmws will and they love to break. alot.
I have not owned and American car since 1977. I have been German and Japanese for the last 40 years. I have been driving a 2011 BMW M3 and the miles have been piling up and the payment was large and had 4 years to go. Well not to bore you no German dealer would make me a reasonable deal after all the years I bought from them. So I leased a ATS 3.6 coupe. Granted it is not an M3 but drives great and looks beautiful. All the Geek things are better than the Germans offer. We shall see how it holds up. Only been a week.
You’re kind of all over the place you’re saying the steerings too light but it’s the best handling car in it’s class and then you’re saying that the engine sounds could use refinement but yet and they’re so perfect. It doesn’t really make sense you’re kind of talking in circles.. But that being said, I think the ATS coupe 3.6 is an amazing car. I have the premium performance myself and I absolutely love it and I’ve had BMWs Mercedes whatever this is my favorite car by far.
37k for a luxury coupe. That's a bloody bargain. Here in Australia you'd be getting none of that for 37k. The closest is a Toyota 86. Even then it's substantially more then 37k, and it ain't luxury. Man, I want to move to the states.
Last year when I was looking for a new car I test drove the ATS 4-cylinder turbo and 6-cylinder, and much to my surprise, I thought the 4 was funner to drive. The 6-cylinder felt heavier when you driving and dove much more into corners and just didn't feel as crisp. You could certainly feel the additional acceleration, but it just wasn't as fun to drive. The other thing I'd say is that the ATS 4-door looks much better in person than in pictures, don't know why, but it does. It's kind of boring to look at in pics and videos, but in person I think you see more of the details that are just loss otherwise. I'm hoping this is the case with the coupe since the coupe was really really disappointing to look at in pics and videos.
杜建霖 I never really noticed the auto transmission, which is a good thing. I only took it for about 10-15 minute test drive, but in my limited time with it, it never got in the way, which to me is the job of an auto. The downside of this car is the terrible CUE entertainment system/software, the rest of the car is pretty great and it was really fun to drive for a sedan.
I love ATS coupe and Cadillac. I only wish more rear legroom and different design of the dashboard at the passenger's seat. Prefer like cts coupe. Amazing robust solid feeling in awd version , serious, elegant and classic design that stay for ages. Not a temporary toy for the mass.
Just paid for the 2015 ATS. I thought about BMW and AUDI before, but seems the BMW and AUDI are street cars now, almost everyone has one... And I don't like the interior, I love BMW X6 and AUDI A7, but they are bit much for me. I drove a Camaro SS, Cadillac CTS Coupe and Infiniti JX35 before, but I like this more. Personal choice, don't trash me with BMW is better, thanks
I got a 2015 ats premium performance 3.6 sedan with 30,000 miles for $23,000, in April of 2019!!! Triple black with 19 inch shiny black wheels, Cadillac certified! Original sticker was $52,000! Love it
The only thing I don't like about the ATS is the CUE. I'm used to volume knobs. That said, that V6 sounds pretty sweet. I'd probably go with the turbo-4 because I go up to 10K feet altitude a few times per year.
are Cadillac's reliable? I really love what gm is doing with Cadillac and I'm considering purchasing one, but I've always hade and still drive Acura. Mainly because it's overalnotl cheaper to maintain than a German or American vehicle, or are they cathing on with the Japanese as far as reliability goes.
Maybe an odd ball question but did you get to check out the rear seat room? I'm in the market for a sedan but a couple with the back seat space of say, the 4 series or E-class coupe, would be great.
Well my going on 8 month review. I am still liking my 3.6 ATS. It has been so much fun to drive. Runs well handles even better. The looks still keep me interested but and now there is a but... The CUE system really sucks. Very disappointed with that. The screen has frozen on me 4 times and has to be rebooted by On Star. Now today my I Phone would not pair up and the screen has locked in the phone mode. I was much to pissed to play with it so I will revisit the issue in the AM. I feel if you have to pay a large price for a system like that it better work correctly. Strike one. I am not a patient person so this could be a deal breaker. Let you know.
My bad on the CUE system. When my i-phone got hot it would not respond to the CUE so it was an overheated phone. Still want to see the ATS-V very slow in coming out.
+Robert Tiscione One thing to note: from 2016 onwards, the ATS includes carplay and android auto, so people will not really have to deal with CUE anymore. Unfortunately, it's not available as an update for 2015.

Narrowed it down to the ATS Coupe and the Lexus RC 350 and decided to go with the Cadillac. I really liked the looks of the RC, very sporty and pretty unique but the interior and options just didnt stack up for me. I am a pretty big guy at 6'2" 220 pounds and the RC just felt cramped to me. The center console was just a bit too wide and I really didnt like the mouse pad as much as the ATS touch screen.
My follow up on my ATS 3.6 Performance. Well we are getting close to 6 months and here is my take so far. No problems at all (knock wood) Handles probably better than any car I have had except for my 2007 Audi RS 4. (Probably the best car I ever had). Fit and finish is perfect stereo is Very good. Gas mileage is probably very poor considering the engine is no where near as smooth as a BMW or Audi. Very comfortable seats long ride not an issue here, quiet cabin. Beats the BMW in those departments. Back seat can not fit an adult not that it is an issue with me. Grade B+ I feel better than the new BMW 3 or 4 series. Perfect size to drive magnetic shocks are just great. So if I were to buy again I would look at a Mercedes to compare it with. Good car not disappointed in the least. I just feel that BMW quality has dropped probably Audi and Mercedes then Caddy? Thank you
I kind of like the new style emblem, and would prefer the turbo 4 manual.@Sebastian Rosenberg, in size this would be a competitor to the 3 series as there is about an inch size difference in every dimension. Weight is bang on too.
I would never want to get a slushbox automatic, I've heard the manual in this car isn't very good though so Cadillac needs to get a dual clutch transmission in this car.

Why change your emblem from an iconic symbol fur luxury to a stretched out turd that looks like a Rudolph nose on that ats? Wealthy people buy luxury items for their brand weight, Cadillac significantly reduced that with their emblem change.
I flat out refuse to do business with a company that forcibly took my Tax dollars via the Government Bail Out. That also goes for any of the banks etc etc that received my money by force. Thanks but no Thanks
I'm sure it was. But that is not the point. A business must always be fearful of going under. And hurting everyone. If a business has nothing to fear than something is wrong. Just my opinion.
Voxas GM got a pretty nice deal. Ignore over 200 years of legal precedent and screw the GM bondholders, many of whom had the bonds in their IRAs and 401Ks, to take care of the union people instead. The same union people whose bloated benefits packages made GM uncompetitive with the Japanese automakers in the first place. Bail the unions out with money taken from the rest of us taxpayers, GM still stinks, and the taxpayers lost money. GM did not repay the loans with money it earned from selling cars. Instead, GM repaid the TARP loans with money it withdrew from another TARP fund at the Treasury Department. Meanwhile, in all the fanfare and patting themselves on the back, Treasury and GM made no mention of what happened to the $2.5 billion loan GM owes its union health care plan. The union loan carries a 9 percent interest rate and runs until 2017. Don’t most Americans try to pay off their higher-interest debts first? Well, the union loan was not paid off. Why not? Does the union get to keep collecting 9 percent from GM until 2017, courtesy of the American taxpayer, while taxpayers give up a 7 percent return over the next five years in exchange for the hope that GM stock will be worth more than what we paid for it, someday down the road? I t is far from clear how GM and the Obama administration could honestly say, much less trumpet in prime time television ads, that GM repaid its TARP loans in any meaningful way. The reality is that GM got additional TARP billions from a Treasury escrow account filled with taxpayer dollars. Taxpayers have not been paid back “in full” and are still on the hook for the TARP stock investment in GM. But, the good old unions that vote 90% Democratic got taken care of. Just great.
While I would agree with you. I have to point out these are to different classes of cars ones a coupe one's not, caddy is more of a driver's car Acura more luxury then sport.
Can't compare a coupe with a sedan! Acura is losing the track merging TSX and TL, ending the TSX sportwagon production and not being able to offer a coupe or a convertible. Can´t compare luxury between Acura and Mercedes, BMW or Audi, Acura is behind!
GM cars will never have the same kind of reliability/quality as any Japanese car. They could spend a billion dollars and still sell the same crap as they always have.
The GM driver doesn't know what the hell he's doing, he's missing gears all over the place. I find it amusing when somebody employed by the company to represent the brand doesn't know how to properly showcase the brand. I did however see my friends house in the video when they did the 2nd attempt at a burn out. They are testing the cars on Milford Road just down the road from the GM Proving Grounds, beautiful area to be driving in a car like that as long as you have somebody that knows what the hell they're doing.

not sure about the styling on this car. the straight line theme doesn't go well on coupes.

Wealthy people buy luxury items for their brand weight, Cadillac significantly reduced that with their emblem change.
1. That comment was just dumb. 2. They are trying to innovate and change to look more premium and luxury, not less.
Jason Lopez You consider stretching the body of your logo and removing the wreaths innovative?
They are trying to make it look more modern. Get out of the past. You are using carburetors instead of direct injection.

Just great.
Get a life. I'm sure they don't need your help.
You my good sir are an Idiot. ( chigasaki06 )
i love ats coupe
Cadillac's are way to small for me. :( I'm 6 foot 2 inches tall, there is just no head room in their coupes.
Ever since GM went bankrupt, I can't take them seriously or ever buy another one of their vehicles.
I can't take anyone serious when they ride the hawg (your vids).
L O L. *Curious - You wouldn't happen to be RICHARD Enstad's son, would you? Your comment is exactly like the one above, from Richard Enstad ...
Ever since GM went bankrupt, their cars have gotten much better. Cruze v. Cobalt, ATS v. Catera, etc.
Rtvoll well said bro!
This guy is biased towards BMW makes for a bad review
Scary to be riding a bicycle on that road lol?
looks boring. Last CTS coupe looked way better. Had more swag. The rear of this thing looks corny.
cadillac has over a hundred day supply of all its cars. they are too expensive. not a clue
$37k base price. I'd rather have an Acura TLX.
OmgSteveJobs while that may be true. That's completely off topic of what you're stating.
OmgSteveJobs Spoken like a true fanboy.
Basically
CTS coupe never looked sporty enough. should of had a longer hood. something more sleek looking.
