    I was a Cadillac salesman for a couple years recently. The ATS-V hadn't come out yet while I was there, but I fully fell in love with the ATV while I was there. Love this car!

    I like how the USA is going outside the comfort zone of N/A V8s and doing some amazing things with turbos and superchargers. The ATS-V is a beast!!!

    I've got a 2010 CTS-V in manual and love it but I like the size of the ATS-V and just the level of focus Cadillac has brought to it. I'm hoping to get one here soon!

      I only wish these cars had the AWD option, at least manually when using it on slippery roads. These cars won't work well where I live.

    My brother is waiting for his 2015 CTS-V coupe to arrive from Texas Speed. He is getting the 1000hp package. Can't wait to see how it performs. The Cadillac models that have been made to date are seriously impressive cars and I'm really wanting to see if they the M3 and M4 series crown.

    Cool video. I drove the M4 and found the steering to be lacking feedback and artificial, also the chassis doesnt have a lot of feel -a let down compared to an E46 and even E92. Very fast engine though!
    How do you feel this compares Vs the Mustang GT with the PP you reviewed? I really liked that car, incredible steering, solid huge brakes and the engine was delightful. I know, this is positioned as a higher end offering, but the Mustang version I drove had a nice interior and is quite a bit of coin less.

    Great Review. I wish though you'd been a little more technical of your description of the car. I own the 2013 ATS ans I absolutely love everything about it. The look is "stunning". The interior design follows the exterior lines. I love that. The functionality of the CUE system is easy, and user friendly. I wanted to jump up to the 2016 ATS 3.6 Twin Turbo until I saw the price. Almost $75K !! That's a jump from the one I own which retailed in 2013 for $45K. I think the thing to do is just "upgrade" the performance options on my 2o13 ATS. You know, wheels, exhaust, etc. Anyway, thanks for your video it was awesome.

    • @BrianMakse
      @BrianMakse  9 лет назад

      +jjt1234 Thanks! How much more technical can we get? Appreciate your feedback.

    • @jjt1234
      @jjt1234 9 лет назад

      +Brian Makse I guess really I'm old school. It wasn't meant to be negative.Your review was great! I felt like there were a lot of superlatives used to describe the car. Maybe that's what people really want to hear (adjectives). I however feel that Cadillac is trying to enter an existing market with that car, and that potentially new customer can't deny the "facts" about the technical aspects of the car (If he has them). I look at some of the other responses people post on why the Cadillac can't touch some of the other high end cars like the M3 and AMG stuff. Their remarks are ridiculous. They use the same generalities that "reviewers" use to describe the car. Its exciting. Its a smooth ride. It handles great. It holds the turn. All that may be true . But can you base your decision to buy the car on that kind of generality ? I think a real enthusiast (I guess that's someone like me) wants a reviewer to explain how the traction control works better then say Audis Quattro. Or something alone those lines. Yes, so technical to me means "meat and potatoes". Additionally, what makes this car different from the previous model? Besides their offering a new color this year. Make Sense? Thanks for giving me the opportunity to talk about something I have no idea about. What your job is about. - John

    • @BrianMakse
      @BrianMakse  9 лет назад

      +jjt1234 I hear ya. I'm often looking for the same thing. All I can say is that we can only do so much in a single day shoot, and unfortunately there's a lot of tech in this car that it's impossible do get through unless we did an hour long episode - and nobody wants to watch me for an hour, that's for sure!

    Bet u can squeeze more HP just from a tune, with those turbos reaching 450hp+ at the wheels is just a couple of clicks away without any worries. pretty sure those GM engines are bulletproof and u don't have to change internals to squeeze even more power from the turbos.

      +Nick Busato Thx, The dealership here in Dallas, where I brought my V1 called me because they had 2 sold orders come in, a ATS-V coupe and sedan and I went to check them out. I was highly impressed. Now I need to see the CTS-V and I'll make up my mind. I really think I'm going with either the ATS-V or CTS-V. I believe my reason is the M's haven't had much of a redesign to the look of their car. I know they've had a little bit of change but not to the point where I can made a big statement about it. Now as for the Caddy's...I just love the new styling and design, the edges and curves. There is NOTHING out there that even resembles it, and It's really caught my attention the most. Thx for the video info.

      Yes, I know..I just meant additionally, to expand the range of the 6tgen models. I had the 2012 Camaro V8 (european version) for 3 years and the LS3 just did an amazing job, and I am sure the LT1 will as well. Still, the ratings of the new 3.6 V6 bi turbo are quite impressive, don´t you think? So if you ask me, I would love to see this engine as an option, for example in a possible 6th Gen Z/28 ;)

    • @BrianMakse
      @BrianMakse  9 лет назад

      +Adriano Luciani Trujkic I think the big power car will get the LT4 because the LS7 is gone. Don't get me wrong, this turbo six is brilliant and I love it in the ATS-V. I wouldn't be surprised if this motor makes it as a performance option when the Camaro gets its mid cycle refresh.

      +Dave “dayjob3” Brown This was my first gripe with the car, until I leased a base model for my wife. I love the car, great chassis, steering, brakes & handling. I've gotten used to the 90's instrument cluster. What I can't understand is why it doesn't come with a six way power driver's seat and a remote start (winters are cold up here in Canada). Our Cruze diesel has these amenities and it lists at $13K less! Go figure.

      Austin Powers uh...it has 18-way adjustable seats...? And remote start (except the MT). I'm not sure why you posted that.

      I leased a Base Model, only option was polished 17" wheels. Base radio as well. Base model does NOT come with remote keyless start. It had push button start, but no remote keyless start. The driver's seat was only 4 way adjustable, no more.
      That's why I posted that - please don't tell me otherwise since you have no clue what you're talking about.

      Russell Ess that's because the speakers make artificial engine sounds from the inside :), M3/4 are not loud and don't sound good what so ever, that's the biggest complaint anyone have with them.

    ATS V Sport........ Not ATS V.......... Sigh get it right!! This is why i wish GM would of just called it what it is A GRAND SPORT not V so for those people that like to make reviews would not get all confused or get it all wrong. The V Badge means you have the Vette Engine and i have never seen a Vette with a 3.6 L...

      Eugene Livingston don't compare apples and oranges fully loaded it's less expensive than a base model 911 with no option
