      In this case the water height is defined. For this tutorial is 1m, That is an advantage of using this tool (Open Channel Flow).

      A method for finding the change in the height of the water by changing the distance
      For example :
      At first the height is 1 meter
      At the bulkhead, the height is reduced to 0.7 meters
      At the end is 0.97 meters

      To calculate the conjugate of a supercritical or subcritical flow I use this book: amzn.to/3umjgL1
      However, in the simulation the height is defined at the entrance, the height in the outlet is only as an initial condition, when the simulation reaches convergence there will be a different height than the one initially defined. That height would be the conjugate height.

    Tengo una consulta, estoy haciendo simulaciones con el flow 3d para la universidad y para hacer una simulacion de 30 segundos toma unas 15 horas con una laptop I7 de 4 núcleos y 8 hilos ¿Cuanto tiempo le tomo hacer esta simulación con el Ansys, si es posible que recomendarme los requisitos minimos de computadora para usar estos programas? Espero su respuesta, gracias de antemano.

    Cordial saludo, me encuentro realizando mi proyecto de grado y estoy empleando técnicas CFD, primero agradezco el trabajo que realizan me han ayudado bastante, pero tengo algunas inquietudes respecto a la condición de contorno cuando se emplea el submodel open channel, la primera es el bottom level es el punto más bajo de la cara que se seleccione como entrada y si la geometría presenta alguna pendiente como se puede determinar el bottom level, otra pregunta es si se puede emplear solo la condición de pressure inlet (open channel), sola dejando la salida solo como pressure outlet

    THank you for the awesome tutorial. I had a question. You mentioned a pressure inlet and then specified an inlet velocity. What is this velocity you are mentioning? KIndly do consider.

      input for Velocity Magnitude is required to calculate the dynamic pressure being used in the total pressure calculation.

      Velocity at the inlet specified was the average velocity of the open channel stream at the inlet boundary.
