I absolutely love these dorky fish nerds and their excitement about basically everything
They seem so cool to hang out with, we would definitely become friends lol
“Any flora to our fauna?”
“Just in time for cephalopod week!”
The adorkableness is suffocating like drowning in a room of puppies
You'd get exited too if you finally saw something interesting after looking at empty seafloor for 3 hours.
A dork is a whale penis...
@@linkin0983 it is amazing
That gulper eel thing or however you spell it blew my mind. And those bioluminescent fish that look like they have LED lights always fascinate me.
5:46 - 6:44 was a ride of emotions and excitement lol
gulper eel literally my favourite animal
6:45
"Shark.
Nice"
lmao
"Nice"
Hahahaha
the shark is like "laa dee daa... oh sorry, i swam in your shot, gonna head out now. sorry again!"
I really enjoyed watching some of those dives live.
As well as being amazing to watch, it has always awed me to think that, along with the team and the other people viewing the stream, I it is possible to be looking at at something that has never been seen before by anyone and, combined with the excitement of the team, it is a pleasure that you don't get in any documentary.
A big thank you to all involved!
How haven't I discovered this channel earlier? Its awesome to get to see our newest technologies be used in deep sea exploration, and the team/scientists sound like genuine fun people to be around with
Initially, I would venture a guess along the lines of not having the proper equipment to explore. Stuck on the surface for an interminable amount of time.
When we finally are able to access the depths, it is now cost prohibitive and politically tenuous. Entirely too many chiefs overly concerned about business, borders and budgets! And how they look to their constituents.
@@CookieCraftMedia MBARI is another channel I would say that is of this caliber. They are both spectacular!
"octopus."
"oh yeah..."
i love you guys
This footage is so valuable. I’m so thankful you guys are all there to catch this stuff on high quality video. You all seem so kind and incredibly smart. So yeah... thank you!
I couldn't be more proud to know that these are the researchers and scientists that are making record breaking discoveries!!!! THEY ARE SO WHOLESOME AND PURE I LOVE IT!!!!!
My name is Megan, so at 2:58 when they asked “Megan, do you have a guess?” For a second I was just like ??????. Even weirder I’m pretty sure I know what that fish is, I think it’s a chimera
5:33 that eel is awesome
I don’t know how to spell it but the teeniphor at 7:30 is just amazing
Weirdly enough, it's actually spelled Ctenophore.
Knowing that allows you to get this Nautilus scientist joke:
Why do Comb Jellies sleep so well?
Because the Sea is silent.
It’s so beautiful, I had no idea it existed!
who could thumbs down this????
Landlubbers.
Plebs
Maybe cuz a dude calling a very obviously not a rock fish, a rock fish.
Australians, because its all upside down there.
@@Nobody-vr5nl They were referring to the thing the chimaera had in its mouth, not the chimaera itself. These are dedicated scientists; they know what chimaera and rockfish are.
The commentary is priceless
Love this - but this is just part one right? Please keep these coming to get us through the winter. There's the octopus brooding ground (the Octopalooza), the colorful cup coral gardens, the paleo-shoreline caves... What a great year Nautilus had.
This is great that you post videos for all people to see those stunning views of the hidden from us world. It is beautiful even in a pitch black environment. I like that you comment on what you film and jokes as well. Keep up the good work and thank you.
All their reactions make me so jealous they could explore and witness it firsthand with their friends where they all share their knowledge . ITS SOOO COOOOOOOOLLLLL. IM SO JEALOUSSS
I feel like i am exploring ocean with them! I am amazed! TY so much!
Absolutely astounding footage, and excellent commentary! Keep up your fantastic voyages @EVNautilus and crew! :)
Such wonderful creatures
That Gulper Eel display was unreal. These compilations are literally the best videos on RUclips
Simply amazing creatures down there
"is it engorged or is it.... like that?"
Chimaera are eerie, but beautiful fish (2:51).
I was kinda surprised no one knew what it was.
@@rays5163 same lol. most of my knowledge of these things comes from watching videos like this and i was surprised i knew what it was and no one else did lol
@2:31 they were saying they didn't know what was in its mouth either. If you pause it right at 2:31 you can see it's the head of an eel. And yes I was also surprised they didn't know what that "fish" was. Very awesome video.
@@tireslayer6568 one called it a ghost shark which is another name for the chimaera
would i be able to ask why you don't store past broadcasts on the youtube channel? I'd personally love to be able to watch them at my leisure. I think it would also allow a lot of community driven content that could help bring exposure.
Too large.
A 56-day long stream was posted a week ago, so there ya go.
Please tell me where I can find this stream!!
Search for Nautilus Live Dive Recordings Channel on RUclips!
@@jasoninmichigan6078 I believe they started releasing them after I asked (probably not related). Thanks for the reply though!
Enjoyed very much and gave a thumbs up
the ambient music really intensifies the sense of awe you feel
WoW !!! Sponge paradise “It’s so pretty “ I more than enjoy your collaborations. Happiest of Thanksgiving’s to all. Thanks
Fantastic, enchanting to say the least!
AMAZING WORK!
Amazing view guys !
Sponges are the oldest multi-cellular organisms. They appeared before the Cambrian Explosion before animals suddenly began to diversify at an amazing rate. They look like plants but they are actually animals.
Thank you for your content!
7:35 my mouth was literally agape...whaaat?
What a beautiful sight!
You guys have the best job in the world!!!!!!
Thank you!
I'm so envious of you guys being able to see all these wonderful; creatures some of which might never have been filmed before at a guess. If ever you need someone to keep the boat tidy and cook breakfast I'm your man!
Best videos on RUclips
Those are amazing vids. Thanks for sharing.
That eel had me in complete shock! There's some very exhilarating about seeing something that blows your mind like that. It's rare!
amazing stuff
Really cool underwater locations
I just found this channel and I’m already hooked. 😜 Do you guys do live feeds at all?
I was so excited about the gulper eel. I watched enough Octonauts to immediately know what it was lmao
потрясающе!
I get some real Subnautica Vibes from this Video. even more with the music in the background.
My highlight was the gulper eel and commentary. Amazing creature
I would love to be a part of this crew
That eel was amazing !
"It's not friendly" lol best passive comment
This is discovery at its FINEST.
This zoom quality
man
I totally feel how these scientist react, I wish I could walk around down there and just examine everything
Impressive.
Absolute dream job
Very good
6:34 I did not ecpect it to be that fish, I didn't know they could do that! 😱
15:09 they completely missed the little poop/ink attack that little squid did.
i am loving it! Soooo wunderfull. I want to support u without any title of scienetist ;) ..but its ok - i come with u into the deep
Are the wonderful dorky fish nerds back on land or on the boat?
Are those Manganese nodules on the bottom at 8:59-9:06?
блин! вам не хватает какой то лазерной рулетки, а то масштаб не ясен, ну там 1м--------2м вот прям на экране, вот какое расстояние между точками по центру ??? ( * ? * )
That chimaera is so cool looking omg
I CAN'T LOOK AWAY FROM ALL THE SPONGES
How does one y choosen to go down ?
It must be really competitive.
The color's must be amazing in that darkness.
What is the job title of each of the members on the nautilus expedition? I’d love to do what they’re doing as a career. I know there’s probably tons, but I’m mainly discussing the ones that are controlling/talking about Argus and what it’s seeing or interacting with.
@FatAssasin727 mostly marine biologists, and a cameraman.
I wish it would show how deep they are. :( :(
gosh, these fish nerds, i love them
When will this Subnautica Update come out?
MOOOOOORE!
Which is the distance between the two lasers in centimeters
Carsten Sweden
I would give just about anything to be on board during these expeditions! I wonder what kind of jobs are available for an old sailor?
Great video. Thank you for sharing!
They are frequently streaming their expeditions live when they are on them. Thats probably as close as I will ever get, but even that it is an awesome experience. Just knowing that at that exact moment, you and the crew are likely the first and last person to ever look at what your looking at, and you’re all doing it together, in a way. Give it try some day, you just might like it lol. 😊
I’ve wondered do these submarines / drones have a way to protect them selves encase something big come after it?
What is the function of colour,in an all dark environment at the bottom of the ocean.?
Should try and find Deep Sea squid like Taninga and Architeuthis Moroteuthis and Mesonhychoteuthis
Kept feeling anxiety waiting for a reaper Leviathan to jump out
"Look at that gorgeous siphon."
My dream girl.
this team just discovered all the worlds gold underwater in one location
It would seem that you guys found a lot more interesting things than the Okeanos Explorer
Endless ocean 3 confirmed
That chimaera looked like it had a raggedy ann doll in its mouth
2:40 damn, ghost sharks are so cool looking
last five mins was too pervy...mann, Live rock gets me goin'!!!
How does the nautilius work? like are they actually inside of that machine?! or are they in another place controlling the machine from afar? cause either way, it's so cool!
The crew is aboard the research vessel, EV Nautilus. From a control room, they control their two ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles), Hercules and Argus. Both have cameras so they and us can see what's going beneath the waves. So, no they aren't inside the machine, yes they are in another place controlling it from afar. Hope this helps
I love dreaming of deep space creatures after seeing deep sea vidéos 🐙
I wish we had a size reference to know how big (or small) the creatures you see are.
The laser dots are 10cm apart.
“A shark.”
“Nice”
and thats all they had to say about the poor shark
4:30 The Crystalline Entity!
Are the people in the submarines?
They need the ability to turn of the lights and see some of this.
Do those bright lights not hurt animals who are not used to it?
💚
16:40 these coral plant thingies look like a giant dragon head! OwO
Are you guys hiring? the best job ever!
I'd die to have a dream job like this. I totally regret not going for ocean biology or geology. Don't you guys at EVNautilus look for a deck cleaner or something?
Let's cook it with the lasers!! great line
Lovely jubbly
This channel should be called gettin high goin deep. am i right lol
That shark skit was comedy.
3:18 is a chimaera for those who don't know
