Those look great! I'm about to work on my first project so I'm on here checking out different techniques and this "dry brush" is awesome. Thanks for the great video/tutorial.
Thank you! Did you say to not use water based when doing the dry brush technique? I see there are 3 types of bases. Oil, water and latex. Also when doing the blacking part, is that not water based also? And should be latex based?
Hi this is the end of July and I have been painting concrete but I did not realize that you should put it in water and do a black water down paint why use black can you use white water down paint and also I had already painted my concrete with white concrete paint that did dry fast what can I do to correct that and also I use very good acrylic paints that I do very detailed paint jobs on them and therefore outside do you think they would become a problem very bright colors
Seems to me the white concrete paint would be a perfect base coat. It would adhere very well. Adding a good non-oil based exterior paint over that should give excellent results.

You’re most welcome! Good luck and have fun!
Thanks for video. I have a few pieces I want to re-paint ( wish paint prices were cheaper it's really went up in last few years )
Ofcourse now I've got to find some mushrooms to add with my gnomes
I’m still using my paint from the last few years.

Exterior latex for the base coat and the dry brush. You can water down the base coat black paint but not the paint for dry brushing.
What brand of paint did you use?
In part 1 you can see the paint is Glidden.
Red over black is a pain in the ass..id have done the mushroom basecpat in white or grey but thats just me
Is that acrylic latex ?
It is! Flat exterior acrylic.
