      Thank you for watching! For us, the first few pieces that weren't perfect (bubbles/color inconsistencies) we just kept in our garden instead of selling. The bubble holes you can actually fill with mortar if you prefer, or just hammer the mold longer 🙂. Once you get the hang of it, which doesnt take long, you rarely will get a bad product. Sometimes the thinner pieces like bricks or tiles can break out of the mold, but you can keep those for the cut or corner pieces. Happy concreting!

    • @FranchiseCityOnline
      @FranchiseCityOnline  5 лет назад +9

      Thanks! It will depend on your local market. You can check with local garden centers, landscapers, flea markets etc. to scope the demand. That said, there are always ways to differentiate in the marketplace even in a competitive market!

      Ive still been heavily thinking through this. My one issue is I live in an apartment, is my best solution to buy a storage unit? Or rent out an office space

    • @FranchiseCityOnline
      @FranchiseCityOnline  5 лет назад +4

      @@blixx87 Good question - I expect that a storage unit would have limited access to water, and likely prohibit anything other than storage in their contract. Office/warehouse space is going to be expensive. I would try and find shared commercial space, (artists often co-op in warehouse units) maybe even rent someones garage to try and reduce costs when starting out. You can pop an ad up on craigslist or local forums/FB, im sure someone out there isnt using their space and could use the $. Maybe even form a partnership of sorts - they provide free space in exchange for a piece of the action. When the business takes off then you can find a longer term solution. Good luck!

    • @blixx87
      @blixx87 5 лет назад

      Franchise City those are great ideas man thanks! The garage set up will be cheap. Always good to have as minimal costs when starting a business. Then invest as you make money

    • @AKNeal81
      @AKNeal81 4 года назад

      @@blixx87 I don't know how common these are but when my daughter went to an art school I rented her an art studio near the campus. It was the only one I have seen like this but who knows maybe there are more out there. This was a converted apt building into individual studios, for artists so it had water and lighting to every unit. They even had key fob security entry to the building! I'm struggling to remember the exact cost but I believe it was around $350/month and since it was for artists you could make anything you like within. As a matter of fact they held exhibitions monthly to help the artists showcase their works so included advertising! Best of luck!

    • @FranchiseCityOnline
      @FranchiseCityOnline  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for watching! We ultimately used immersion vibrators not table/plate. That was quite some time ago so I expect they have new technology today. When we first started we would just use a rubber mallet and gently bang the side of the molds until it all settled. It worked!

      Thanks for watching! You only need two things to get started, molds/materials and marketing. To my knowledge there isnt a course specifically on this so Google probably the best resource for research. Choose a couple of molds, make some inventory, and place some ads, and/or attend local events. If something doesnt work, change it and try again!

Google how to make concrete molds, experiment with the mixtures, test advertising and marketing venues, call around locally and start to build the business. • @FranchiseCityOnline

      Not yet! I do know a couple of people who owned courier companies. It's really more about sales when you start than it is logistics. You need to land the accounts. Its very hard without a unique market niche to beat out the major players, especially on price. Also volatile gas prices can wipe out already razor thin margins. That said - anything is possible.
