Like your content. Latin American Spanish is hard. I am from El Salvador, came to NJ in 1994 and met all my Latino people and learned how we called things by different names but loved exploring other cultures and their food. For music I would recommend old 90s pop like Cristian Castro, Luis Miguel, Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan, Sin Bandera, Camila, Mana, Reik, Luis Funsi, Eros Ramazotti (although he is Italian he was huge in Spanish pop), Laura Pausini too (Italian but sings in Spanish), Jesse & Joy, Los Angeles Azules, Natalia Lafourcade, Carlos Rivera. All of these their song lyrics are in full sentences unlike reggaeton which is trendy but it is more like street slang than actual Spanish. It makes it easier when you have good music to learn it. I learned a lot of Portuguese by listening to songs and I am learning Italian now. Greetings from NJ and checkout the artists I mentioned above. I miss the old pop/pop&rock songs.

If this doesn’t perfectly describe a Spanish learner’s journey, nothing does - well done! 👏🏻

@Jack Macdonald To be fair, I remember starting and there seemed to be 10,000 different resources out there and I didn't know which one to try.. and now I feel like there are even more and I still don't know! 🤣

How many different countries spoke Spanish, and how different every countries Spanish sounds. Also since I was a kid I always wanted to visit Costa Rica, and did not know it was a Spanish speaking country. Also I watched a lot of dreaming in Spanish videos, to intake comprehensible input, and Pablo uses the word coger a lot, needless to say I live in Atlanta where the mayoría of hablantes son Mexicanos, and quickly found out that it had a different meaning,,😆😆

I bet French can be even trickier, to a non-French speaker it seems like they just never pronounce the second half of every word! 😅
