Wow, a hustler? You could take that two ways. I would be hoping for the one that means I'm a fast worker. But I know that's not what you meant. God bless your comment. I've collected for 36 years. And only sold books three or four times. I just started this garage sale thing. Because I'm not in love with eBay or Instagram. But have been a single book seller on eBay since 2002. But never in mass quantities. Even though I go to Con's on a monthly basis and learn from the best. It might sound like I'm hustling. But I believe my heart is pure. And hope I can give people great deals and build relationships. But not everybody is for everybody. Thank God for diversity

I watched the video again and I believe the first part was about how he can do restoration so good that grades can't detect it and for people to be educated so they dont get scammed by restored books that may decrease the value, and how his restored books were able to go through grading.

1:49 Rust doesn't occur when there's no oxygen, so locking your rarities up in a safe or vault does not require 'airing them out' now and then. 'Rust is a type of corrosion that occurs on metal surfaces when iron reacts with OXYGEN and water. ' It's even called 'oxidization'. Makes me wonder about everything else the guy says if he's going to claim the opposite of known science is true.

Correct. I keep some of my big books Ina fire proof safe and I did a lot of research before doing so. The real enemy is humidity. I monitor the humidity level in the safe and I regulate it with dessicant packs. I've been doing this for 5 years. No rust.

*_Air, Oxygen, is the great destroyer._*
*_A non-heated garage is also a great destroyer of books, as well as humid weather; so humidity is also a no-no._*
*_The inner Mylar envelope(Biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate) that the comic book is sealed in does not contain air, but nitrogen._*
*_This shifts at times, "is there Nitrogen in Mylar envelopes or not?" I can not confirm 100%, sometimes it is not present._*
*_Nitrogen does not react with metals. If you fill a barrel of grain with Nitrogen, the Nitrogen sinks and presses out all the air in the barrel. And when you then seal the barrel, the grain will last 20-30 years longer._*
*_The staples do not-further-rust even if they have heavy rust on them and even then the process is so much slower that decades of being sealed in a Mylar envelope would only look like a few years of air exposure._*
*_If staples are rusted, then they are rusted. You can removes rust from staples, but that process is not easy and you are better off gambling by replacing staples from another book on the book that had rusty staples; but then how will you remove rust from the paper and make this entire scam plausible to pass for a Universal Grade? Well, it takes time, equipment so it's not worth it._*
    Edit for spelling.

I was on to many rave drugs and making 16$ an hour stopping at the office every other Friday dropping off silver age 1#'s from my whopping $ 2000 paychecks and buying books at penny price's. But the market has changed. Too bad ! Hell for $2000 yuh can't even buy a 2.0 hulk 181 today Boo-hoo. ✌️ The way I looked at it was a two hour commute and 12$ an hr. Was a slap in the face let down. So more Orlando rave fun please . Lol. True story

I don't know if i'd call him a collector, I'd say more of a comic book store or reseller. Biggest problem is in todays world it's harder to sell comics because the younger generation for the most no longer find that as a cool hobby or fun thing to do. I started collecting comics in the late 80's i believe it was and had to quit somewhere in maybe the early 2000's. Having to take care of my mom and handicapped sister and such money just got to be harder to have. Things have only got worse since then and this may sound stupid but when i began collecting i saw it as fun thing to do but i was also thinking in my mind that having these comics would give me my saving grace if i ended up needing money to survive. Ive got over 5000 comics and have collected continuing series so a big majority of them are books in consecutive order. And of course the comic book writers or whoever decided to cost people money by making storylines be included in all titles, for example i had to collect 4 spiderman titles, 4 superman titles and i can't remember how many x titles i had to collect. When i quit collecting comics were up to 2.99 i think it was. I would also try to find back issues at our local comic book store. So I was a hard core collector i guess. I can tell you that as a kid i couldn't wait to watch shows like the original Batman and Robin, or Superman and back then they were the coolest thing and back then if someone would have told me one day you will get to see Ironman, Thor, Hulk and Spiderman and so on in live action movies i would have laughed at them even though the 80's brought the Hulk and that was cool and even Spiderman but when they started making them in the 90's they became more and more realistic looking. We have come a long way in technology. All the time i collected my comics i actually worked a lot and loved being outside more than in so id get my comics and put them directly into bags and backing boards and on a shelf or in a box so a big majority of my comics should be considered brand new but when someone comes to buy them they never are. We have only one local comic shop to go to and when i tried to sell them he offered a nickel a book. I wasn't going to sell them for that, that wouldn't do me any good anyways. To be honest i thought that was quite an insult to give to a customer that gave them thousands of dollars over the years buying comics from them. I thought they'd be my saving grace ,thought it was than blowing my money on a filthy habit and i had something to show for it. But turns out like always i was wrong. They still set on my shelf or in boxes. I'll never get to read them and enjoy them. most likely I'll end up homeless and all will be lost, probably to the landfill.

You should go thur your books and find the Keys. Since you’ve been collecting so long you should have a good amount. I understand your dilemma, when we start out we never consider that one day our collections will overtake take us. The same phenomenon happens to toy collectors. Especially Star Wars and He Man, but on the bright side both of those IP are currently in the gutter. Maybe that’s for the best.
