If you were a young teenager in the late 70s and early 80s.... Cheech and Chong was the shit! We'd have to listen to the albums or cassettes without our parents knowing about it. Guys named Dave back then heard 'Dave? Daves not here!' more than they care to remember.
...and then (Of course!!!), there was Sergeant Stedenko! That's easily been one of my all-time favorites! One of the best parts in that one, was when Sister Mary Elephant was literally BEGGING Sergeant Stedenko to help her out, and what does Sergeant Stedenko do? He gets flustered, and panics, and tells her:"I'll go call the Police"! Hilarious! Then, even before that one, we have one of the most insane introductions of any character of all time! Ladies and Gentlemen:I give you-SISTER MARY ELEPHANT! Sheesh! What a name! And:The only time she truly gets the classes attention, is when she has to scream "SHUT UP"!!!!!! "Thank you". Well, that, and when she has to scream:"WAKE UP"!!!!!!!! Far out, man!
"Dave's Not Here" was also used for Up In Smoke when Pedro and Man were asking for Strawberry and the bird replies with "Strawberry's not here" when they knock. The bust scene was featured in Still Smokin'.
@sebaschan23 I know, but I had no control over them, and I could not cut that part out as it would have lost it's continuity. I hope you liked the rest of it.
+Twyla Mcintosh I don't know anymore about the new movie than you do. All I read was news in 2014 that they were going to do a movie. Have not heard anything else about it. I hope they do it.
i once saw this on tv but it was filmed when they were in their prime, i forgot the name of the movie but it took place inside like an apartment complex but the same exact things happen as in this video. does anyone know what im talking about? PLEASE help me remember the name of the movie that happened in it was so fucking funny
Cheech and Chong were famous for many years before they made their first movie. They use to make comedy albums, and that is where they got their fame. This skit, was from their first album in 1971, called Cheech and Chong. They did not make their first movie till 1978,
The guy behind me freaked out when he dropped his new pipe under the bleachers then realized it was blocked off so he could not retrieve it. He didn't get hostile, just really disappointed as he didn't have his pipe anymore to lite up the weed he brought. Everyone was stoned to the gills. You could hear all kinds of stoned induced remarks from people all over in the audience much like you would hear on the Cheech and Chong albums. I found it very amusing. I had a great time.
U know the irony of it is how cheech went on to play a role as a cop on tv.some of that must've been so weird and awkward to him.i wonder if it was.huh.love these guys though..I'm still smoking because these guys..lol..am now..smokn.
My 9th grade stage event---We see 13 star flags back out soon; for our Bicentennial is 5 years ahead. I have lead role in a 1971-2 school play, written in 1913, on the stage in our recently built high school, it is one of only 13 architectures, new like it, enclosed high schools in America. D. N H A O E V. T R E E PLAY: Dollar ROLE (Lots of lines): Villain One Act (less than 60 minutes): Pinski's
@RedanWhiteRebel I first heard of them in 71, when they put out their first album. Many people think they became famous with their movies, but in fact they were around many years before that. Larry said he watch their movies. If you get a chance watch "Up in Smoke". Nice Dreams is a good flick too. Cheech and Chong discovered Pee Wee Herman, and was introduced in a movie they did.
what are you talking about, cheech an chong hav been mentioned, when kitty and red catch the gang smoki nd kitty says, cheech and chong would be so much funnier if they ddn smoke marijuana.and was that seen ever in an episode?i dnt remember it:P
@MrCrossfireNub There was a little feud going by me in the audience. Seems like there was a few stoners that were very much in the talking stage. A woman was annoyed as she wanted to hear. She finally called them fags, as she thought that would fix the problem. I captured all of that, but did not delete it, as it would have taken away from the video, the essence of comedy routine. So it is what it is.
@cashstore1 indeed they are my friend!... its a classic from the 80's . lot ot people know Cheech and Chong around here . especially the Dave's not here bit! lol although i must say that i havent seen any of their movies on TV in years .. so i'm guessing the youngest generation doesnt know them!.... humm... that makes me sad!... i laughed my ass off when i was a teenager watching this two!
im trying real hard to go directly to full screen and not be tempted to read any of the comments, i know its full of ignorance and stupidity but it still pisses me off when i give in and read some of this bullshit. too bad some people can't just watch the video and enjoy it.
Wow, they're still having fun with it after all this time.
We need more performers like these.
These guys...they took a comedy story that they did, & expanded it!!! Excellent!!! Only Cheech & Chong could do that!!!

Brilliant. I saw them a couple weeks ago in CA. They did this same skit. It was awesome.
I remember hearing one of their albums in 3rd grade. I'm 33 now and I started watching Up In Smoke. Classic comedy whether sober or "in the clouds"
It doesn't get old.
I've watched this 3 times and it just gets funnier... 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣😄😄😅😛😝🤤👍❤❤❤this skit lives on forever
"Dave's Not Here" was also used for Up In Smoke when Pedro and Man were asking for Strawberry and the bird replies with "Strawberry's not here" when they knock. The bust scene was featured in Still Smokin'.
How awesome to be able to have people pay you to do this.
Glad that you and your mom liked it!
That was my grandma. She is 94 years old. Smokes pot every day.
"Are you sellin' drugs?"
"Why, you wanna buy some?"
These two will always be the best.
"I didn't sell any yet."
There are a bunch of drunks in the audience.
But of course. Many were stoned. Perhaps most were stoned.
theres a bunch of burners in the audience.
"I thought you said you had marijuana" lmfao
WWOOAAAHHH A CLASSIC! lol

@RedanWhiteRebel Dave's not here, is a skit that they did on their first album 40 years ago. It's a bit different than the one I put on RUclips.

Where the hell is the new movie they promised? I know they are old but they still got it.
+Twyla Mcintosh I don't know anymore about the new movie than you do. All I read was news in 2014 that they were going to do a movie. Have not heard anything else about it. I hope they do it.

Everyone is so baked in the audience
The guy behind me freaked out when he dropped his new pipe under the bleachers then realized it was blocked off so he could not retrieve it. You must be my age
@silver109rox They are still good though.
Poster, yes you have seen this elsewhere. It was done by Cheech and Chong. I believe it was a " short ".
