When I was 10 or 11 and my dad says, “I have a movie you will laugh so hard you’ll piss your pants.” That was when I saw Up in Smoke for the first time. I laughed from start to finish, even if I didn’t fully get the bits. It is still a movie I watch and it’s only funnier now because it reminds me of the joy and laughter I shared with my dad, but definitely now that I get all the bits. Love these guys.

As teenagers we were watching Cheech and Chong movies over and over again.
We had to watch them multiple times to get all the jokes, our English was not (yet) very good.
Many years later I am still watching those movies and can´t recommend them enough.

31:13 Tommy presents one of the MOST IMPORTANT Concepts of Life here.
I'm a teacher, and I've used this advice to great success with children ages 3-16 many times. I tell them very plainly and clearly "You have a choice right now. I know it may not feel like it, but once you catch your breath, you can choose to be happy or sad. If you want to continue feeling like this all day, then go right ahead, that's your freedom. But if you'd like to not ruin the rest of your day, you can turn off the tears, and move on. Your choice." I've said this speech many many times.

Bert! Just wow, just wow… The blessing and opportunity was a bit overwhelming and I saw it a bit, but you loosened up and fluidly asked Cheech and Chong some really good questions on tape! My dude, that was absolutely fantastic humor but more importantly I was happy during every second not just laughing. Love it

1975 listening to Big Bambu in a friend's garage. Cool Dad's always had a turntable in the garage back then. Also, had a 45 copy of Santa Claus and His Old Lady which I would play on the family stereo during the Holidays. Saw all the movies at the Drive-In. Cheech and Chong was always cutting edge and kept us all entertained for decades. Thank You Bert for bringing in these legends! Hammmmbuurrrger!

Love it. At about 12:20 mark, Chong extends his hand to pass the joint clockwise (as per usual), he waits the perfect amount of time for Bert to grab it, Bert (who is totally justified to have a “Idol” moment) misses the hand-off and Chong passes the joint back to a savvy Cheech, who did not hesitate. Brilliant

Great comedians and even greater guys!! Thank you for all of the laughs and memories!!
