That seems like a ridiculous amount of force on the tailstock, and probably completely ruins the taper on de-acceleration. Not my machine, so I like your experiment.
Why is there a needs for a Morse Taper Welded, to an Axle Hub? When the Weld was completed? It appears that the Newly Welded Shaft-to-Hub is NOT CONCENTRIC To the Hub Center? I.E. The true Hub Center Appears to be OFFSET!? HUH? WHAT? WHY? This Does not Compute! Nor does it appear to be CORRECT? Watch the rotation of the Shaft & Hub product as it is being rotated by hand, at the very end of the clip. It does look like a good enough Friction Weld...... But what is actually being built as a Final Product? Is this just a Demo on Friction Welding Only? Or? Do these Parts have a further, and Useful End Purposes? Thank you

Много тестов смотрел, даже лично пробовал, на токарном станке таким способом нормально не приварить

I am probably showing my ignorance here, but wouldn't most of the force by going through the lathe dogs to the cross slide?
@@jrrt6745 As it comes to a stop, but to get enough friction he's probably got a cheater bar on the tailstock feed.
