I actually want this because I just lost my Dad and he used to make jewelry and I wanna honor him with that, I just gotta wait for a stupid amount of time till I can get it because I and my husband are between jobs at the moment, I've been playing The Sims almost since The Sims 1 came out and I've played almost all versions even URBS: Sims in the City I just never got a Wii or whatever to play the MY Sims game I love all of them

Obviously you can't control it, but you wouldn't intentionally increase the odds of getting twins and triplets. Having twins or heaven forbid triplets throws it off greatly. I think it has to do with the fact pregnant sims don't age and the 8 sims per household limit.
CAS UNLOCK TIP: If you go to the gallery and search 'cas unlock' under households, you should be able to find a sim that you can add to your household to unlock all the hidden cas stuff! It can be limiting bc it can take a while for these gallery sims to be updated with the newest unlockable cas stuff, but if you want a quick and easy way to unlock hidden cas stuff, thats how! Wish the SIms team made it easier tho
yess that's a great tip but i don't think it would work for this particular pack because the jewelry isn't accesible by cas as far as I understand, like you wear it from the inventory but I don't think you can access it by cas even if you have made the items and "unlocked" them
Omg I never knew you could do that! I upload my sims with collectibles all the time but I didn't know it unlocked it for people. I just know it uploads them with global superstar and stuff. I'm so mad I lost my super sim when my computer broke before I got it fixed. I would've uploaded her she had all collections and a lot of career unlocks 😭

Oh yes I love that pack! Since I got it, I always play in micro homes because why should I want anything else than all those perks? 😅 I just can't resist! And also, building such a small home is really quick and easy.

That seems like an oversight. I'm pretty sure every article of clothing is tagged with at least one, if not both, but since you can't set your sim's fashion sense to both/neither, everything should be tagged. Hopefully they fix that (OR LET YOU SET IT THEIR FASHION SENSE TO NEITHER. My god, the number of times I have to manually disselect masc/femme fashion choices in the filter to actually pick clothes I want 😩)

I agree on the hair clips and hair colors. With the clips, I wish they had separate swatches where that would be interchangeable, such as gold, silver, and copper, or clear like with barrettes so it can go with any color of hair. Then have separate swatches for the flower on the clip. And with the hair itself, they need to have sliders like they have for the makeup. That way there will be a multitude of different colors for each style. It would be so freeing and creative to have this.
I agree! I would even like it if they just had the same color clip in a neutral color. That way it's less of a glaring mismatch and more like "my sim grabbed a brown hair clip that was laying around"

The thing with hair clips is there’s so much cc that has customizable hair clips/scrunchies and it’s so good! I wish the sims team could do something similar since modders have found a way
I wouldn’t worry about the jewelry not being in cas straight away, even without cheats to get them someone is going to complete the collection put it in a room and upload it to the gallery, that’s how I get potions with difficult to find ingredients or ambrosia when I need it
I think that blue is a very wide ranging colour, certainly in English. We have a lot of shades we call blue. But for example, light red has a whole different category; pink.😊
This comparison just makes no sense. Pink is its own color with its own shades, red can have as many shades as blue, they just simply don't add anything other than blue
In many languages, like Russian, what we would call "light blue" and "dark blue" are referred to as two different colors, just like how we call red and pink two different colors!

I was ready to drag the pack after the CAS and buy/build mode but I loooove the gameplay and that's what's most important for me in a pack. The crystal charging is just incredibly useful and the proposing with the ring is so cute ❤
Kinda wish the bookshelves had a variation for the three different wall heights. It's so difficult to build when you want a high ceiling as everything else looks stupidly short.
I just got the crystal pack, and tried it with the book nook stuff (which I got for the same reason, I could make tall bookcases for my library) but they don't clip to the top of the new bookcase, just sort of hover a few inches above it. which is sad.
about all the blue swatches- i remember as a kid playing sims 3, my mom would walk by and always ask me why my houses were always so blue and i would tell her that that’s just how the house came (i didn’t build at all and only used the pre made houses) so kayla is absolutely right- it’s the games fault that everything is always so blue

I have a super sim family trying to collect all the things with just the eight of them. We're currently working on all of the paintings. Obviously, I am SO excited. I love collecting things. For gameplay unlocked CAS, you can just add a gallery sim who has it unlocked to the family and you'll be able to use it for the rest of the sims (you can delete the extra sim before leaving CAS) There's some sims on the gallery called CAS unlock that you can just add right in with all the career, knitting etc. stuff unlocked. I'm sure they'll be updated very soon after the pack drops
unpopular opinion but am i the only one who actually likes the fact that in order to get the jewelry from the pack you have to actually do it in game??? they’re supposed to be special to your sim and that’s what the intention was, hence the thousands of option there are. that’s the whole point of “gameplay” 😭😭
I could not disagree with you more on the CAS stuff 😂 Honestly, it's a jewellery pack not a clothing pack, so I think the stuff you get in CAS in terms of clothing is actually kind of great (And I love the dark academia vibes they went with. Absolutely gorgeous). The fact that they made over 1000 different combinations of jewellery for the pack shows they put a lot of effort into it, and I feel like it's a bit unfair to be criticising them on how 'little' CAS stuff there is, when you can unlock so much more. I do, however, agree with you on the hair clip thing. I wish you could change it separately, but at least it's in the back of your sims head so you can't always see it🤣
agree like It's a pack about making jewelry, you have to do it, have it in cas like straight away is kind of against what the pack is proposing, and also the amount of in-game combination that the jewelry have 🤯 I don't think that would fit in the cas like at all

Genuinely such an amazing sim pack! I'm usually a builder but I actually played through this pack and it's getting me back into playing Live mode more. At the same time... the build items are absolutely fantastic and I have SO many ideas from this pack! It works so well in conjunction with Paranormal Stuff and Realm of Magic :DD
As a beginner gemstone collector, the existence of this pack makes me smile. Just eye rolling a little at the esoteric element of charges haha ;D they're pretty, not magical.

I wish you could use the gemcutting table as a regular desk! It´s so pretty, I had hoped there was a desk that looked like that OR that you could use it as a regular desk because this is the prettiest desk we have ever gotten (if you don´t count paranormal).
I’d love to see a Fashion Designer pack now. Maybe something similar to Dream Home Designer where you need to hand make outfits for clients based on their taste. Somewhat like the thrift store function in High School Years but you get more home-studio style mannequins and your sim gets to use sewing machines and inspiration boards. The build items can be studio stuff with rolled up material and messy tables with thread and scissors all over it. I’d love to see clothes that look more amateurish and obviously sewn together when you’re early in the skill and then gorgeous outfits when you’ve maxed it.
oh my gosh, the need increasing one! I had those plants in the sims 2 that slowly increased the needs over time and I would always fill my sims' houses with them!
I imagine a jewelry retail shop will be so much fun to play - Maybe your sim isn't crafty but still wants to buy a gorgeous ring for their spouse-to-be. I think this pack really expands the world in a fun way.

As someone who as done a bit of jewelry work in my time I’m very impressed w the jeweler’s bench(work table)! I wasn’t expecting that much attention to detail!
Fun Fact at about level 8-9 you will get 3 crystals or metals per node and if you have get to work, the scientists career's lot has A LOT of metals and crystals to collect so if you want to harvest a lot just follow them to work once or twice
I have a legacy family with Morgan Ember as the father and a OC as the Mother. 3 kids. The oldest is the only boy and the only one who isn't a spellcaster - he is a wishing well kid instead. And then there two girls, both spellcaster. The youngest is called Gem! I didn't know what to do with her as a storyline. Now I know. ❤🎉
Honestly, I have a couple custom hairs with hair tie options that are separate items so you can change the swatch separately and it's pretty annoying to pair them once they're downloaded. And I'm not sure how else the hair additions could be swatched separately. Tho I'm not a modder so maybe they could do something. I really like the vibes of this pack and I actually love doing the collections aspiration for rags to riches and always need more shelves for that! Very fun
There's actually one more shirt, but you have to turn of both masculine and feminine. Even if you could access the jewelry in CAS, with say 10 of the same swatches, but only the crafted stuff had all the gameplay stuff, that would have been cool.

I agree on the hair clips and hair colors. With the clips, I wish they had separate swatches where that would be interchangeable, such as gold, silver, and copper, or clear like with barrettes so it can go with any color of hair. Then have separate swatches for the flower on the clip. And with the hair itself, they need to have sliders like they have for the makeup. That way there will be a multitude of different colors for each style. It would be so freeing and creative to have this.
I agree! I would even like it if they just had the same color clip in a neutral color. That way it's less of a glaring mismatch and more like "my sim grabbed a brown hair clip that was laying around"

Wondering about the cross compatibility with cats and dogs? Like jeweled collars and give them a boost in hunting or training? That would be cool to see! Or even in horses a jeweled saddle to help in competitions etc

The thing with hair clips is there’s so much cc that has customizable hair clips/scrunchies and it’s so good! I wish the sims team could do something similar since modders have found a way

I wouldn’t worry about the jewelry not being in cas straight away, even without cheats to get them someone is going to complete the collection put it in a room and upload it to the gallery, that’s how I get potions with difficult to find ingredients or ambrosia when I need it
I think that blue is a very wide ranging colour, certainly in English. We have a lot of shades we call blue. But for example, light red has a whole different category; pink.😊
And an off red is orange! But an off blue is teal which could be green but is usually still considered blue

In many languages, like Russian, what we would call "light blue" and "dark blue" are referred to as two different colors, just like how we call red and pink two different colors!

I was ready to drag the pack after the CAS and buy/build mode but I loooove the gameplay and that's what's most important for me in a pack. The crystal charging is just incredibly useful and the proposing with the ring is so cute ❤
Kinda wish the bookshelves had a variation for the three different wall heights. It's so difficult to build when you want a high ceiling as everything else looks stupidly short.
I just got the crystal pack, and tried it with the book nook stuff (which I got for the same reason, I could make tall bookcases for my library) but they don't clip to the top of the new bookcase, just sort of hover a few inches above it. which is sad.

i remember as a kid playing sims 3, my mom would walk by and always ask me why my houses were always so blue and i would tell her that that’s just how the house came (i didn’t build at all and only used the pre made houses) so kayla is absolutely right- it’s the games fault that everything is always so blue

There’s an extra top that hasn’t been catagorized so it won’t show up for masculine of feminine sims. If you delete the gender option in cas then there will be an extra top shown!! I don’t know why EA didn’t categorise it, but just so you know!!
I have a super sim family trying to collect all the things with just the eight of them. We're currently working on all of the paintings. Obviously, I am SO excited. I love collecting things. All my sims end up with "retail lot" museums. I might not sleep tonight. Now I know this isn't for the average simmer but holy cow... it's definitely for me!

For gameplay unlocked CAS, you can just add a gallery sim who has it unlocked to the family and you'll be able to use it for the rest of the sims (you can delete the extra sim before leaving CAS)
There's some sims on the gallery called CAS unlock that you can just add right in with all the career, knitting etc. stuff unlocked. I'm sure they'll be updated very soon after the pack drops

unpopular opinion but am i the only one who actually likes the fact that in order to get the jewelry from the pack you have to actually do it in game??? they’re supposed to be special to your sim and that’s what the intention was, hence the thousands of option there are. that’s the whole point of “gameplay” 😭😭
I could not disagree with you more on the CAS stuff 😂 Honestly, it's a jewellery pack not a clothing pack, so I think the stuff you get in CAS in terms of clothing is actually kind of great (And I love the dark academia vibes they went with. Absolutely gorgeous). The fact that they made over 1000 different combinations of jewellery for the pack shows they put a lot of effort into it, and I feel like it's a bit unfair to be criticising them on how 'little' CAS stuff there is, when you can unlock so much more. I do, however, agree with you on the hair clip thing. I wish you could change it separately, but at least it's in the back of your sims head so you can't always see it🤣

agree like It's a pack about making jewelry, you have to do it, have it in cas like straight away is kind of against what the pack is proposing, and also the amount of in-game combination that the jewelry have 🤯 I don't think that would fit in the cas like at all
I agree and I really like those four tops for the masculine framed sims! I always find it funny how people ask EA for more basics, (I’m sure I’ve heard Kayla say this in a video) and then say the new items aren’t standouts or are too basic 😅

Honestly I love how the sims team makes references to content creators in the games. I recently had a cow plant and the default name was Lil Simzee and I loved it so much I didn’t even change it.
I'm always up for more displays. My sims are always collecting so it's nice to free up their inventory and display everything.

I'm usually a builder but I actually played through this pack and it's getting me back into playing Live mode more. At the same time... the build items are absolutely fantastic and I have SO many ideas from this pack! It works so well in conjunction with Paranormal Stuff and Realm of Magic :DD
As a beginner gemstone collector, the existence of this pack makes me smile. Just eye rolling a little at the esoteric element of charges haha ;D they're pretty, not magical.
they should change the hair function to something similar to the paint feature on pets, like custom hairs and accessories. it'd be SOOO popular honestly. like me with my money pieces, i simply cannot go anywhere close to that without CC
I wish you could use the gemcutting table as a regular desk! It´s so pretty, I had hoped there was a desk that looked like that OR that you could use it as a regular desk because this is the prettiest desk we have ever gotten (if you don´t count paranormal).
I’d love to see a Fashion Designer pack now. Maybe something similar to Dream Home Designer where you need to hand make outfits for clients based on their taste. Somewhat like the thrift store function in High School Years but you get more home-studio style mannequins and your sim gets to use sewing machines and inspiration boards. The build items can be studio stuff with rolled up material and messy tables with thread and scissors all over it. I’d love to see clothes that look more amateurish and obviously sewn together when you’re early in the skill and then gorgeous outfits when you’ve maxed it.
oh my gosh, the need increasing one! I had those plants in the sims 2 that slowly increased the needs over time and I would always fill my sims' houses with them!

i hope someone makes a nice engagement ring shop and you can download it from the gallery so your sims could buy a ring for their loved ones
The only thing I wish they had done was add the ability to make candles with the "crushed/shaved pieces" of crystals.
Fun Fact at about level 8-9 you will get 3 crystals or metals per node and if you have get to work, the scientists career's lot has A LOT of metals and crystals to collect so if you want to harvest a lot just follow them to work once or twice

I have a legacy family with Morgan Ember as the father and a OC as the Mother. 3 kids. The oldest is the only boy and the only one who isn't a spellcaster - he is a wishing well kid instead. And then there two girls, both spellcaster. The youngest is called Gem! I didn't know what to do with her as a storyline. Now I know. ❤🎉

Honestly, I have a couple custom hairs with hair tie options that are separate items so you can change the swatch separately and it's pretty annoying to pair them once they're downloaded. And I'm not sure how else the hair additions could be swatched separately. Tho I'm not a modder so maybe they could do something. I really like the vibes of this pack and I actually love doing the collections aspiration for rags to riches and always need more shelves for that! Very fun
The gem that increases motives reminds me of the bouquet you can craft in the sims 2 if you have a gold talent badge in flower arranging
