Hi Miwa, I love your videos! Where I live in Australia it is winter, however I'm from Queensland so a lot of the days are still a beautiful 23°C. I'm just about to start the next Semester of university for the year and have been taking lots of inspiration from your bento and meal prep videos, it's making me so excited! thank you for sharing all your recipes ☺

In my city it is currently about 29 degrees Celsius with an average humidity of 30%. Some people like that, but I already suffer at such temperatures. So I really appreciate your summer recipes. Thank you very much! ありがとうございます Miwa-san!

We have been having unseasonably hot weather here. Most of june was above 25 degrees C (usually the mid of summer in August average is 23C) and now already a couple of days above 30C. So It is easy cooking here as well. Salads, things with the oven or air fryer. My favourite Japanese sumemr dish is I think a nanban zuke dish, either chicken, tofu or mochi. I also love shira ae. I bought 2 Japanese magazines that have microwave cafe style recipes in them. it's easy cooking and doesn't heat up the house so much :)

Here in Jerusalem it is 30-32 degrees most days, but it gets hoter. I enjoy having a simple dinner of toast with tahini or hummus, and salad. But I do cook from time to time, can't have toast and salads all summer!
I also prefer not to pre-cut the vegetables since then they aren't as fresh.

31C is actually the lower end of our summers here in some parts of the US. Recently, it's been around 40-44C where I live. @_@ The temp itself is not that unusual, but we normally don't get those numbers until late July-September.

Just for anyone seeing this who's unaware: It's ok to do scrambled eggs in the microwave, but microwaving an egg IN ITS SHELL is extremely dangerous! So please adhere closely to this recipe!
As to your question, Miwa, it's 30°C here too, I went to a culture fest in the park today but had to return after an hour or so, I was drenched xD There was a mixture of different cultures presented at the fest, Japanese stalls were also among them. I tried a steamed Vietnamese burger, which was good also bc it means I don't have to cook in my kitchen. xD I can't imagine what the heat is like for the stall owners who can't just leave when they're too warm.

Can you use the alcohol free mirin which is basically sugar syrup? I replace sake with water.
