Ghibli is fantastic with beautiful movies. I love Mononoke and Totoro. I love Japanese food. I don't watch much anime. I had Japanese in college and love hearing and seeing meals being made. Thanks for sharing your life with the world. Very interesting. Especially your meals.

Miwa, you're never boring or awkward in your presentation because you are so natural and nice. As someone who lives alone I would like some advice on preparing a a spread of dishes for one. I'm always happy to eat leftovers but don't want to eat the same thing every day, or to waste food.

It can be tough to adjust the amount of food you buy when you're cooking for just one person, but it's amazing that you're cooking for yourself! One piece of advice I’d like to share is to try changing up the vegetables you buy each week. I always buy seasonal vegetables. Even if you're using the same recipe, switching up the ingredients can give it a completely different taste, making it more enjoyable!
Thank you for your kind words!

You always feel so relatable, and like you're having fun (: I love that you showed your setup & your messy kitchen haha 🤎
You mentioned not having interesting topics to talk about while eating (I can totally relate, haha) and I was just thinking - my friend is planning a trip to Japan in November (: If it's interesting at all to you, I think it would be very fun to hear from a local about something fun to do in Japan for the end of fall season! 🍂

As a small child, I watched Speed Racer on TV in the U.S. when it first aired in the 1960s as well as later in reruns. But I really didn't get more into anime until I was in my late thirties, early 40s.
I always enjoy watching your videos. Such wonderful content.

I grew up with dragon ball as well. It was the first Japanese anime I watched. My daughter now is watching some with my like fruit basket and Kakuriyo no yadomeshi (I'm also translating the novels as I want to know how the story continues).
There is never any left over curry in my house as my husband and daughter eat it all. If i have a little left I want to make kare korokke, just mix the leftover curry with mashed potato, coat with panko and fry. Or make some curry hand pies (enclose it in puff pastry). Or we love the combination of omelet and curry so perhaps use some for tamago yaki filling. Would it be possible to make a curry soup to go as a side dish? I usually meal prep with cutting all the vegetables for the meals I like to make that week, and think ahead what you want to make. I haven't been able to cook much last couple of week, so it's just easy and quick recipes right now. But I would love to get back to cooking and try to make a ichi ju sanzai plate with traditional Dutch cooking. But that will be after I'm back from Tokyo. Good luck with the speech at university! Sounds like you will be busy in November :) A while ago you said you were thinking of might do a meet up in November but it sounds like you won't have much time (totally understandable).
Seeing your sushi rolls and kimchi I think a egg and kimchi maki sushi roll would be great especially for a bento where you might not have a plate for soy sauce.
