Lots of jobs getting done and looking great. Cozy fire in the wood stove already feels like Christmas. The nights are colder and the heart grows stronger awaiting spring blooms. Love seeing the dogs checking everything out. See you soon. Thanks for the spray paint lesson, good advice.

In the new vidéo, Suzy found an item like a spoon. It s not one spoon but a cow shoe ( like a horse shoe). Cow were trained to work in the fields, so they needed to have hooves protected. Good Luck in your rénovation. I like very much your vidéos and i can improve my English understanding. I am french native. Bye bye !

Suzie, that space under the built-in would make a great spot for a dog bed!
Rols, you have the patience of something like a saint re using liquid spray to clean the wooden beams. By now I'd have begged, borrowed or almost stolen a belt sander or mini-sand blaster to clean those sooty beams and be done with it! I'd worry about cleaning up the mess later. But, seeing those old oak beams cleaned of the decades of soot is so rewarding. So glad you are going to leave them "au naturel." I like the slightly rustic look to your home. It's inviting and cozy.

That soup warming feature is another interesting thing about your place! Thanks for the teaching you do Rols; it's much appreciated! The heat gun is a good idea to help dry thin layers of paint, for those impatient and putting on a thick coat to get it all covered quickly (and with runs in the paint!).

Looks like a lot was accomplished today. Max looked cozy next to the fire. On Chateau de Rosieres they have a similar kitchen food heating area like yours in the coach house. Good afternoon Suzie and Rols, great job sealing up all those useless holes and now no more horrible drafts and outside dust blowing into the kitchen. I thought that fire was amazing. They had some nifty ideas years gone by!! It seems just big enough for a good simmer or a slow pot roast, oh yum. It is a lovely kitchen so many hidden gems in there. Enjoy the renovations, it is so worth it. Great tip on spraying and clearing the nozzle, great job on the hinges. Thank you for showing and sharing, take care. Kind regards.

Love how your keeping the character in everything. Just an idea. If you got a piece of toughened glass cut to fit your cupboard, you could use it as a cover for the grate (with foam pads to separate) and you would still see the grates plus be able to use it as a proper shelf.

i would use insulating foam to fill in gaps in the windows and possibly the sink hole. It gets in all the nooks and cranies and then seal with a wood frame. The key to successful painting multiple layers (spray or otherwise) is to let each coat thoroughly dry. This idea that paint dries in 2 hours should be ignored. Give each coat a good day to dry. You won't have to redo for a long time.
